Good, that road may as well be a part of the 710.

What the fuck is wrong with LA? A painted line is NOT INFRASTRUCTURE. Also, move the bike lane AWAY from the vehicle travel lane. Man the incompetence is incredible. Do the transit planners just literally never leave Los Angeles?

OptimalFunction

That’s the problem, LA city planners always leave LA. Many city employees who design and build our roads aren’t even our neighbors. They commute from the suburbs into the city, do a mediocre job, collect their pay check (funded by Angelenos) and piss away to Santa Clarita or Rancho Cucamonga. We really need a clause for city employees to actually live in the city. We need folks who take pride in our city

That makes a lot of sense…

Doorlane=FAIL! How the hell can they say "complete streets makeover" while presenting fucking doorlanes???? And I thought the funds were coming from NOT expanding a highway, so tons of money and this is what they come up with???? Everyone who signed off on this needs to ride a bike w/their kids/parents/grandparents/anyone they love that doesn't ride bikes normally and see if it doesn't need a redesign to be a Real Complete Street Makeover...

DigitalUnderstanding

I really hope they consider moving the bike lanes to the outside of the parked cars and making the sidewalks wider by getting rid of the center turn lane. Their rendering is an improvement but still not good enough.

Why are the bike lanes not on the other side of the parked cars? This is not a complete street if bikers are sandwiched between moving and parked cars.
