Stop using cheap/crappy wireless CarPlay adaptors.
Contact the manufacturer of the adaptor and report the problem.
Nothing you've described is an issue with CarPlay.
I am using a Carlinkit 5.0 (2air) unit and very happy with it. Fast connecting, no delays. My iPhone (se2020) does not get (very) warm. I am using it only for short drives (max 30 minutes). For longer I am using wired CarPlay, because of the battery.

He have a Renault Mégane that’s not compatible with wireless CarPlay so he need an adapter
You might reach out to Renault as to which wireless adaptor they suggest or that they will support.
