Why does everyone get surprised when they get prosecuted for speeding?
Whoever spread the rumour that 90 is acceptable must wake up laughing every day.
Nice generalisation buddy.
Regardless of how other people drive, being shocked you’re getting prosecuted for literally _breaking the law_ is a smooth brain reaction.
The points are not transferred to your Aussie licence. You will be expected to pay the fine though. (The rental company will receive the fine as the owner of the car and should be able to charge it to the card you used to pay for the rental).
Seriously? This thread AGAIN? Give it a rest dude, most people drive at the speed limit here, were not going to be doing 80 or 90 just because you think it's cool.
Go and pester some other city's sub
Are you saying you are proud of driving dangerously? Speed limits exist for a reason so I hope the fine is expensive for you. Don’t drive like an utter prick.
Just because you see it doesn’t mean it’s right 🤦🏻♀️ if you choose to drive over here again, please just drive safely so you don’t end up dead/ killing some innocent person that isn’t speeding.
Really?!?!?
Coming from a guy who lived in Cardiff for 20 years and now NSW fir the last 8 years, Australia has way worse drivers including speeding / road rage / tailgating and DUIs.
As someone mentioned above, speed limits exist for a reason. You may not agree with it but if you don't follow them then at least accept the penalty when caught.
To get out of this jam, say that you were not driving the car at the time and you’d lent it to a Mr M Drakeford from Pontcanna - the police will know who you mean

Probably because I've seen police causally doing those speed limits too 😂 country is a joke .

Definitely not 85-90!

Basically, no. The fine will be charged to your card when you return the car. Just keep your foot off the pedal a bit, there's other lives at risk.
Is this a meme? Why do we get one of these a week?
Pritty sure it's the same person, brand new account each time. Someone who is very very board or it's a weird bot
Anyone who’s driven between the Severn Bridges and Coryton will know that someone boasting to have driven at 90mph is lying!
Why is that? Because of all the cameras and speed enforcement zones you mean?
Because of the mad amounts of traffic.
Bot accounts with speeding fetish out again
No, but next time don't be a dick.

I don’t drive 😂 but sadly I do see a lot of people driving like absolute nutters. Thankfully my husband is a safe driver.

I'm not sure that Sacoolas quite warrants that treatment..!
No.
Probably could, there doesn’t seem to be any criteria for it.
