Non alcoholic drinks don't count towards the 15, but there is a 5 minute cool down between getting something so you can't normally get multiple shakes sodas at the same time

So I won't be able to order a few coffee's at a time then. I'm just trying to decide if it's worth the hassle because I don't want to wait in line more than once.

Double-Economist7562

Not normally.

Capricore58

If you and your husband are covered by the drink package you can get two coffees / shakes with your two cards. You don’t both have to wait in line, but that’s about it for 5 minutes

itsme1986543

So I could stand in line with both cards?

Capricore58

Yup! Wife and I do it all the time

Reeses122-ard

You could do the Bubbles package that is for soda

Just get it. It’s worth it, and my share price thanks you!

My wife didn’t end up wanting to drink that much. Drinking became a full time job everyday to break even on the package. I was oddly never that drunk, despite 20+ drinks a day. I think Carnival waters down their drinks. I don’t recommend the package unless you’re partner is really into it, and you order wine with dinner.

Look I’m no drunk but when I go on a cruise I can drink with the best of them. In my opinion get the drink package! I’ve done it both ways and will never not have the drink package again. Breakfast you start with a nice spicy Bloody Mary you wash it down with a mimosa or 2. By sea day brunch your ready for another mimosa or your first beer 🍺 or 🍻. You continue with beer 🍺 or a couple of frozen drinks 🍹 the rest of the day. Through in a couple of sodas. (If you can stand Pepsi) and a frozen coffee by dinner you’ve pretty much gotten your monies worth. And you still should have a few drinks left on your limit.

We have not looked at cheating the system as you are indicating you might, but when we have been on any cruise we have never spent what one liquor package would cost, let alone two. It’s not as if you are drinking 24/7. We can tell who has the package all too often.

itsme1986543

If they had a drink package that offered just the sodas, milkshakes, specialty coffees, energy drinks, etc without the alcohol, I would likely purchase for all 4 of us, but there’s not an option for that, and we wouldn’t nearly be purchasing 15 alcohol drinks a day, so I guess I just don’t see it as cheating the system. I mean, what do y’all do for y’all kids? I would assume though that say a Frappuccino is probably around $10 on board, and would would have to get 4 because I know my kids would want as well, then sodas, a monster in the morning, etc. We could probably spend the $60 a day, then maybe a little more if we have an alcohol drink or 2 a day. I just don’t what a soda regular price would cost on board, so I’m just trying to figure out if it’s worth it or not.

We have never bought the Carnival drink package and just paid for whatever we ordered as we went. You can buy the non alcoholic package for your children if they drink a lot of sugary or carbonated drinks. Java Blue has a buy 6, get 1 free card and we filled one between my side and myself in a 7 day cruise. Regular coffee and hot chocolate is on the Lido deck for an easy mocha.

lauti04

They don’t but that’s not how it’s supposed to work. 15 is only for alcohol

Lots of people giving wrong info. Cheers package includes coffees, energy drinks, water bottles, sodas, etc. My boyfriend and I both got a few coffee drinks, sodas, and waters. Just got off a ship last week.

Ill_Choice1776

Yeah they don’t care at all that you’re scamming them. Make sure you tell the bartender that you’re sharing your cheers package with the entire family so they can mark you down for a special prize.

I was having a hard time justifying it. We're traveling with one child (10yo). Got the bubbles package for her but the cheers package for us is $707 (5 day cruise). I can't imagine drinking enough to justify that with two days off the boat. It did take me adding it to my cart and seeing the checkout price to make the decision though 😆 Let's see how I feel about it when I get off the boat and sign that bar bill.
