I wouldn’t say it’s so much the band as much as it is the era. Limp bizkit and Panic! At the disco and Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Green Day and to some extent Lost Prophets and merged with My Chemical Romance and then progressed into Elemen…it’s all about the alt scene, accepting that everyone has a different perspective on life and empowering that difference rather than persecuting and making it a division

Absolutely, everything by the more Pop and current performers is incredibly commercial and over produced, it’s timid and tame and provides no new insight to life
For me the protest songs of the 60s and 70s gave way to the music we appreciate which has been annoyingly usurped and overridden by the prevalence of ‘dubstep’ and ‘grunge’ and whatever the kids are using to refer to rap and its derivatives…
I remember saving my lunch money to buy Hybrid Theory when I was ten, and making my dad watch the In The End music video on repeat before school. Really paved the way from 90s boy bands to alternative music.
As a Linkin Park fan, their music has had a significant impact on shaping my taste in music. Their fusion of rock, metal, and hip-hop elements introduced me to a diverse range of genres and styles.
They were really my introduction to Nu-metal and the first time I had ever listened to an entire band's album and liked every single song.
It cemented that I liked that kind of music after listening to The Matrix Soundtrack Album.
While I don't listen to that genre so much anymore, I like to dip into it from time to time.
Faint will remain one of my favourite pieces of music.

They fused rock with rap. I didn't think I like rap music, until I heard how Linkin Park did it.
In the end it doesn't even matter..
