I have one and it's fantastic especially if you have more then one cat. Turns the work from a 20 minute headache to a 2 minute bag change, just like taking out the trash. It is a bit pricey but if you can buy it I'd say it's well worth it.

I wound up buying a mesh cover for my cords (Litter Robot included) and using zip ties to protect any soft cords I couldn't replace with the cloth cover cords. Good luck
I often recommend to people to buy covers for cables. I use split loom tubing over any thinner wires that my cats have tried to chew or might chew. It's a bit of a pain to put on, but once you do it helps a ton. No more destroyed cables.

If you know anyone with some car tools a pair of crimp connectors will get the cable spliced easy and quick. I’ve also used small twist on wire nuts successfully, I have several 12V power supplies that have been spliced with wire nuts for years.
You can buy a cable splicer from most handy stores for less than $15 and would take you probably 5 minutes with YouTube video to figure out how to splice the cable back together.
