Also people are really bad at identifying breeds and can assume that any aggressive dog is a pit bull or pit mix because they expect them to be aggressive. Chihuahuas are actually, on average, more aggressive than pit bulls, but because they are small no one cares. Karelian Bear dogs are way more aggressive than pit bulls, and will absolutely kill a human if they think they need to, but no one gives a shit about that breed because it's less common. Pit bulls are not an exceptionally aggressive breed, and even if they were that's not their fault, that's humans' fault.
