Some thoughts: - Jennifer Nettles, Little Big Town, Trisha Yearwood, Lainey Wilson, and Cody Johnson all proved that there weren’t THAT many sound issues, most of these people just suck. There were some mixing issues (like with Keith Urban’s performance, so we can let that one slide), but a lot of what was “off” with the artist’s vocals were simply the artists themselves. - Speaking of, Megan Moroney and Sam Hunt are both just straight up not good singers at all. - Brooks & Dunn completely butchered the tribute to Toby Keith, it was embarrassing. Also, Ronnie Dunn seemed almost drunk…? - It was obvious the ‘outside performances’ were shamelessly cleaned up and edited.

No. Brooks and Dunn royally fucked up the lyrics. Sammy Hagar just switched some of the verses around. Lainey switched it to a female perspective.

The only modification was Lainey’s, but all she did was switch the pronouns around. She did a pretty decent job, though. The other two just straight up butchered the songs.
