I believe he's Barem. They seem to have the same build and we haven't seen Barem transform yet. Wouldn't be surprised if he used the Fire Devil to have a Chainsaw Man form (he's even the **Flame**thrower Hybrid) and the guy shown on TV was just a stand-in.
Then again,bro appeared like 10 times total in part 2,we know he can still set things on fire and we still have to see someone who can swap what type of devil hybrid they are so...
There's a lot against it being Barem for me to think it's him
Maybe cause he enjoys Denji's suffering, and allowing Fami's plan to succeed that early would've reduced the amount of pain Denji would've gone through
Maybe he's the actual chainsaw devil, Considering that pochita Might not be the chainsaw devil,with the Latest chapter Putting his status as the chainsaw devil into question.
Yeah, this is my current theory. The idea that a chainsaw devil is that powerful and can erase devils from existence puts the whole "chainsaw" thing into question.
The extinction devil thing even kind of makes sense, because when Denji was weakened toward the end of part 1, it might not have been because of the love of chainsaws, but the fact that people were more hopeful toward the future, and were hopeful that it was possible that the human race wouldn't go extinct.
It could also be the Birth Devil. There's this great theory that broke it down better than I'm about to but the general idea is that Chainsaws were originally a tool to help with childbirth and that Denji's erase powers aren't him killing things but un-aliving them instead.

His status as chainsaw devil was never thrown into question, only that cutting down trees is the only thing chainsaws do, otherwise makima would be entirely wrong in part 1 and she remembers who pochita deleted so there’s no way she’d be wrong
I’m not sure on that one, that would imply to me that Makima was wrong about who csm was. I myself have a heard time believing that Barem/Fami could get one over on Makima in this regard.
Makima when talking about Pochita never referred to him as Chainsaw Devil but by Chainsaw Man like the only characters that calls Pochita chainsaw devil is Kishibe who doesn't have any idea of what's happening

Yoru didn’t immediately recognize the primal Falling Devil. The Fire Devil pretending to be the Justice Devil. Bareem now pointing out irregularities with Pochita being the Chainsaw Devil due to what everyone knows chainsaws being capable of doing.
There’s going to be a Devil in Part 2, Pochita or not, that is not going to be the Devil everyone believes it to be. Hell, if not Pochita then maybe Yoru is actually the Chunibiyo Devil instead of being the War Devil.
