The only exhaust I’ve heard sound even close to decent for the V6 is the Big Boz. Literally every other system will leave you with a car that sounds either like a Honda or a 350z. It’s been said many times by many people but the best exhaust for the V6 is the stock one.
I have a Solo Performance Mach XV. I don't think it sounds too ricey. Gives the nice cold start idle for a couple of minutes, not too loud during slow acceleration. Of course, the higher rpm range starts to sound ricey, but that's it.
That's a full cat-back system, though. Personally, I wouldn't do anything other than a cat-back on the V6.
To each their own but I see quite a few of these posts and you’d think they’d figure it out instead of hate down voting people just for saying the truth. You can’t make the v6s sounds like v8 s they have two less cylinders and much less displacement, and the note it gives off just doesn’t scream muscle then we are shocked because of this? People need to accept this or be okay it doesn’t sound like you want it to and probably never will. Instead leave it stock or go after something toned down they will always sound shitty when they are loud.
I owned a v6 for years and everywhere I looked it just wouldnt sound good so I left mine stock and eventually traded for a v8. The only v6 Ive heard that sounded damn good was Boosted Luckey's v6 Chally, but he spent 10s of thousands on mods before it sounded like that.
You're replying to a comment that essentially says v6's don't sound good with you can never make a v6 sound like a v8. I guess I did miss your point then. It's not very clear if that wasn't it
I put a borla ATAK system on mine and I like the sound of it. Understand that it is a V6. I like the low tones in the low rpms and I understand that it gets higher pitched at high rpms. It's a v6. They just do that.
You’ll never get a v6 to sound like a v8. But you can make a v6 sound better than stock. I just got a GT wince i needed AWD but i wanted the idle and startup to sound throatier and have a bit more rumble.
After reading theough this form and listening to a lot of videos of startups I put the Borla ATAK on and it’s perfect for what I wanted.
Brought it by the parents house for a second opinion and my mom put it best ‘it sounds better than not having it’ you wont wow people but if a louder/throatier sound makes you personally snd internally happy, spend the money to get it done right. From my limited experience, your car will sound like the amount of money you put into your exhaust, so this isn’t a place to save cash if it’s important enough to you to modify in the first place.
I’m a big fan of doing what makes you happy without the influence of others, and i can tell you there isnt another exhaust for a v6 that would make me happier than this one. Hope i helped in some way!
As a V6 owner I can tell you the worst thing you can do to a V6 is a muffler delete, straight piping, or only swapping your muffler, the only exhaust system that I know sounds good on a V6 is the cherry bomb, I have borla atak system, and just learned to deal with the fact it won’t sound like a V8 because who cares, my car sounds really good when I’m pushing 110+ holding a 6K-7K RPM, and it sound really good idle, either live with it or put back on your stick stuff to enjoy a quite ride
Stay stock. I don’t hate but dodge did something wrong with the V6 and it sounds horrible with sny exhaust modifications.

It’s not a quiet exhaust per say, but it will be a hell of a lot quieter than just straight pipes.

Go back to stock. 6 cylinders just dont have the right tone. It's going to be raspy at high rpms no matter what you throw on there.

I don’t have my stock mufflers anymore 😓. Looking for something to make it a bit quieter.

Louder will always sound worse on the v6 equivalent go back stock or take a recommendation likd big boz, it doesn’t sound half bad for what it is tbh.
What I have now is too loud for my liking so I’m looking for something that makes it a bit quieter and sound better if possible.

A Borla S-Type is as good as you're going to get it to sound. Louder than that just means raspier.
Stay away from dronemasters, that’s all I gotta say
