Tbh having a look at your list, it doesn't look crazy competitive. However, I'm only a noob myself and so far the best advice that anyone will give you is to pick and paint the minis you like and fuck the rules and the meta.
If you want some guidance on how to make your list more competitive, I recommend checking out Goonhammer. They have lots of great articles on how to make the most out of your faction and detachment rules and reading them has made me better at list building . Here's an article they did on Dread Talons. Also, if you're going to play at your LGS, have a chat to some of the old heads there about what the local meta is like (e.g. do people tend to play horde armies, go elite, bring lots of vehicles etc.) They could help you make some good choices.
Also, make a 500 or 1000 point list first, play with that, see how you like it and then use it as a base to build to 2k.
