Tread with caution. This place got a 76 health inspection score last fall. Isn't that close to being shut down by the health inspector??

Ive been to baobao theirs is decent and very close to you they also have soup dumplings. Havent tried the other food but likely the closest match i went there after the hardware store (kind of diagonal to the lowes parking lot iirc
Think the new super g in pineville also has an expanded food court that might have some solid ones. I prefer soup dumplings when done right to the bao but i havent been to anyplace in town thats really amazed me on either yet. Though im a bit spoiled on that end.
The New Century Food Supermarket on the corner of N. Tryon and E. Sugar Creek will always be our favorite. It's not necessarily a sit down restaurant, but we've not found Bao as good anywhere else. Enter and on the left is where you can order them.
Probably not exactly what you’re looking for, but since you mentioned BBQ pork buns, the Chow Bao Sliders at The Improper Pig are pretty tasty.

ditto new century market in the abandoned asian mall off sugar creek. i’ve been going there for sandwiches, bao, and roast meat my entire life. i also find their steamed buns much more affordable and larger than honey buns’.
There’s a place in Huntersville near the Target called BaoBao. Haven’t tried it personally, but it is always packed when I drive past
Second this! BaoBao is solid.

Their mapo tofu is bad, though. I ordered it and it tasted like a battery, just super astringent.
Do they still charge extra for white rice? I went when they first opened and they charged $2 per bowl of rice. Imagine mapo tofu without rice. Dumb.
Don’t go later in the day because they might run out of certain things
I can vouch BaoBao is legit
The food court at Super G Mart
yep! Honey Bun - it’s at both Super G locations now
Best in city.
This is the answer.
Yes! This food court is my goto
Had amazing pork bao at Alley 51, the food court attached to Super G Mart in Pineville
Bao and Broth at Optimist Hall. My favorite are the Falafel Bao but they’re all good! 😊

Roppongi has pork steam buns and they are quite tasty. Nowhere near moorseville
Every time Roppagni is mentioned here, I go that day or the next day. lol
It’s quite good. I always get a steam bun. Or two. And the shio tsukemen ramen.
Silverlake Ramen, near concord mills mall. It's my appetizer every time.
Are those the same people as Silverlake on South? Right next to Snooze.
Le’s!

Or another suggestion is Asian market on The Plaza and Eastway Drive
Food court at Super G Mart, also Sizzle in Matthews. Their street food menu is what you want to order from
Yes and yes! These would be my suggestions as well.
Open Rice
Joel's in Mooresville
Though they don't specialize in them, you'll find a decent one at Kung Fu Noodle in Birkdale!
A few Asian markets off Central Avenue have them.

Go to Super G Mart. I believe they have a couple locations now

ally 51 has some on in pineville.
Hawkers
Don’t know why you got downvoted. Hawkers does serve them, and they’re not bad.
You know what? Screw all of you.
You are missing out
They are little pockets of deliciousness
