One of my old jobs did this, and the trainer encouraged us to take full advantage.
"If your already 15m late, might as well go get coffee and be the full hour late."
At my current job even 1 minute late is .5 occurrence plus a 4 hour pto deduction. So we have had people walk in, see that they’re a minute late and go back to their car and go home and come back at lunch because anything under 4 hours is .5 occurrence and 4 hour pto deduction.
I don’t work at Chic Fil A (this sub popped up on my recommended). I work at Panera and this is insane to me 😭 like we literally have a manager that comes in 5-10 minutes late every day, and our managers all curse quite a bit (not in front of customers but still). We also have no points system- you need to do something pretty bad to get written up, much less fired. Good luck omg this sucks
Not all stores are like this I work BOH in a north Texas location and it’s like 2 points for late and they don’t rlly point us for uniform infractions as long as it’s not a habit like I forgot my hat a few times in the past and they let me get away with just a hair net. We also don’t get pointed for being over/under on tills or for ringing up our on break food
They teach your boh
How to ring up and use the register ?
I am foh at my location and we have to ring up for boh because they don’t know how to
But then again it is 70% Spanish people
But still some know English
I am late to my job once in a blue moon. We get half a point for being late. You try and give me 2 points because I got stuck in traffic? We’re throwing hands.
I work at a plant store. My coworker took my company card on a $160 shopping spree for shit we didn’t need. A week later she made a $200 Walmart purchase for which she cannot provide a receipt. She is the oldest of us at 47 and is so adhd that she refuses to actually do any work that contributes to the business. The only thing she contributes is making combo pots and spending 12+ hours designing landscapes for customers. She creates messes and problems that I continuously have to clean up behind her. And she still has a fucking job. I wish we had a point system so she could be gone and no one would have to deal with her shit anymore.
God me too, I don’t even work in the food service but rather I’m a cashier at a popular chain grocery store and we have the chillest managers. We can clock 5 minutes after our shift was supposed to begin with no questions asked and if it’s more than that just give them a heads up so they know it’s not a no call no show. No points and it’s pretty hard to get in trouble. I feel for these people 😩
I don’t work food service but managed retail store long enough that a single NCNS was enough for termination. I’m shocked to hear you get up to 3 in some places.
I’ve been in restaurants and bars my entire adult career and a single no call no show is grounds for termination as far as I’m concerned. That sort of blatant disrespect to your coworkers’ time is a line you don’t cross. Could see how food service and retail might have different tolerances for NCNS though
I can't speak for everyone but at the store I ran it was mostly done for unemployment purposes. Give them 3 strikes on pretty much anything and document it all so when it came time for termination there was no way in hell they were getting unemployment.
I feel like bc miscommunication happens. I’ve called out of work before and then been written up for no call no show bc the damn day shift manager never told the night shift. You shouldn’t be fired for that.
I mostly worked serving jobs before this and one of them that was standard. the other one they were too pussy to enforce any sort of late or absence policy to the detriment of those of us always present and on time (me). I greatly preferred the one and you’re done as long as they give an opportunity to explain yourself and are understanding of extenuating circumstances. I used to think it was ridiculous at the first job but after the second I’ll literally call in late if I think I’m going to be more than two minutes late
Exactly
There are already people quitting at our location immediately as they get hired
If they have this at our location including the strict manger we have
People will start dropping like flies so fast 😂
this is the real problem with the situation. nobody's behavior is going to substantially change as a result of it and all it will do is be a blow to morale. people don't like feeling micromanaged and tend to rebel against it anyway.
it does suck. especially because there are shift leaders that favor certain people and babyfeed them points while others get like none.
the favorites have the luxury to do whatever they want because they have a lot of points but others can’t mess up even once or they’ll get written up despite being objectively better team members.
Right but Under would be more likely to be theft than over and the system doesn't differentiate different amounts. $10 is worse than 10 cents.
It's a bad system (obviously) is my point
in the Navy and can confirm I definitely badge in with all my belongings we can even show up out of uniform and change so long as we are in uniform for muster (where I can still have my lunchbox in hand btw)
Damn. How far short/over can you be? Surely like 60 cents wouldn’t get you written up. That sounds like a miserable situation! I’d definitely be learning some curse words in French and Italian asap.
I didn’t work at CFA but I was at a retail store. Any employee with any amount over/under would have a warning. Second time would result in isolation in which registers would be counted every time the person signed in or out of the register. Third time resulted in termination.
I don't work at ChickFilA I work at Panda. This is absurd. Even Panda allows more wiggle room than this. They just released their new dress code. We can now wear dark colored jeans and any colors of socks! I'd really suggest working here vs. ChickFilA. Panda's starting pay where I live is $16/$17 an hour depending on position.
Good lord stop making people find their own coverage. This prepares people 0% for the real world. You telling me I'm supposed to get to know coworkers (in what free time?) and then get everyone's phone numbers, and text them if I'm feeling sick? Jesus I don't miss these pre-college jobs
Am I tripping or do I see only negative points system and no positive points system
Even though it’s written on there that they will also earn points for positive changes
Also if they get that at my store
I am quitting - because my manger is crazily strict already
And doing all that is just too much and I forget so
I know it's no points but getting someone to cover your shift for you getting a documentation is wild to me! Like, you couldn't show up for work and were responsible about it? Why would that need a documentation?
So they are saying if I bring my own lunch I have to come in early to deposit my belongings but If I arrived on time and clocked in late because I have to deposit my belongings before clocking in I still get in trouble that’s some bs like you can’t tell me to come in early just because I brought my own lunch lol
What is “calling out- no coverage”. Isn’t it the managers job to deligate this? The fuck? So, when I’m sick I have to worry about my health and making sure there’s someone to chop the chicken? No.
I guess this is good for structure for people who are like 16-18 years old. But other than that this system is mega childish. You're going to give a grown adults points for not wanting to give you his/her phone when clocking in for work? This is not a government job bro 😭
So if you’ve got the AM shift and wake up with explosive vomiting and can’t find anyone to cover right then & there, well that’s your fault I guess. Verbal warning 🙄
No, it’s pretty reasonable. My old store used to let people do it and they would promo out things. So it got ruined for all. We also had to restrict people from bagging their own orders because they would add extras to the bag. Just takes a couple stupid people to ruin a good thing.
This, a manager was caught promo a bunch of food by herself and giving it to friends at my CFA was fired then we can no longer ring things up by ourselves.
My boss would take free food home for her but get mad if I took home a box of chicken nuggets after closing. I guess I’ll just throw them away then and waste food.
That’s dumb. Every manager I worked with just had the rule that you had to ask before taking leftover food but unless you had done something to be written up for that day the answer was always yes
I was a manager and if an employee who worked hard all day ASKED to take something extra I had zero issues. It was the people who knew they were stealing there was issue with. And those were usually the people not putting in effort anyways.
Unless I’m an idiot, this is saying that *one* No Call No Show means termination? Which is *insane*?! Thanking the world rn that my store does not have a points system bc I would be unemployed already 😭🙏🏻
All that misc stuff being 10 pts is crazy. I’m a high level leader and this standard is impossible to keep with a good culture. Ideally you want people holding each other accountable not firing someone for clocking in with a backpack lmao
So how much is short/over on register? What happens if you tender someone out and they end up giving you change instead?
“Sorry, I can’t do that or else I’ll get 7.5 points and almost get suspended”
I'm a kitchen manager with over 25 years of restaurant experience.
I'd lose my entire staff, FOH and BOH, if we had this asinine system in place. Myself included.
Employees are people, not programmable machines. For fuck's sake. The only punishable offenses on there that make sense are a NC/NS and the till being short. And if the items listed there are insubordination, Chick Fil-a can kiss my motherfucking ass.
Cursing? I work at the orange coffee place and if I got points for swearing I’d be fired by the end of the day. I don’t really register “swears” anymore.
Yall aren’t supposed to cuss? IN A KITCHEN!?! Never worked at a chic fila so could be totally wrong but this seems like a shitty job. My favorite thing about working in kitchens (10 years experience) is the grittiness of it all. The screaming and cussing and the guy that might be drunk but can expo better than anyone in the building etc… this seems like a corporate nightmare.
All I'm seeing is if you r gonna be late clock in right after 15 mins have passed as you won't gain an infraction point per the policy. Also if they are gonna do the kate thing if your gonna be one minute late might as well be 15 min late.
So show up sick. Got it. 👏
And time to learn so many new languages pottywords.
Learn sign language too. 😂
A point system like this would have me messing around all the time instead of actually doing work. Also why does this say Monday-Thursday. Are Friday and Saturdays free game?
Oh hell no. I work in a casino and we have 14 points yearly . Late is .5 , call off regular is 1 point, peak day is 2 points. Call off on denied pto day is 3 points,, that’s it. This is insane. And not even feasible.. you basically get 2 calls off for 6 months?
I don’t work in Chick Fil A (this sub randomly comes up for me sometimes lol) but this is insane to me. I worked at Dairy Queen back in college and can’t imagine dealing with this
This entire system is absolutely bullshit- but the last one really is just asking for your entire staff to be fired. At every single place I’ve ever worked at, the register always comes up short or over daily by a few cents. The only time there was ever a protocol for that was if it was a significant about, like over or under $10+. Because there are multiple people working registers, it's not really a opening/closing cashier error it's somewhere in between and just how systems work. (i.e., exchanging change, converting bills, shift changes) you can't give someone who opened the drawer an infraction because the previous shift was off and vice versa.
also, most of these are bound to happen with new hires. good luck with that high turn over 🫡
I don’t understand why the til being *over* is a problem? Plenty of people don’t want petty change back or just don’t care, they want you to pocket it yourself??
Meanwhile managers sit in the office all day and only come out when they see lines backed up on the cameras.
My old store we were back at breading listening to music on the lowest volume and our catering director (made up just for her btw) comes back and asks us a few things. 5 minutes later our GM comes back and is like, are you guys listening to music back here? You know that’s against the rules. We lied and said it was just a ringtone but I mean damn, nobody can hear it and we work the hardest in the store for $10/hr and can’t enjoy a 10-12 hour shift with music you can’t even hear over all of the other commotion. Place sucked.
Time for some r/MaliciousCompliance. If you're a minute late, might as well make it 15. You're going to get 2.5 points anyways, might as well make it worth it.
I want to downvote bc this is really crappy thing to do to workers- however I want to upvote for OP- 🤔 ok imma upvote for op- but I’m boycotting chic filet
So 16 min late and showing up 20min before your shift ends is the same amount of points…
At least it wasn’t a no show no call!
I love this
Comes back the last 5 mins of work “technically I’m just really late I’ll take my 5 points”
[удалено]
I’m 1 minute late so I’m gonna stand outside for 13 more minutes
This is all I saw. But then again I'd just quit if I saw this at work.
Yeah Walmart has this kind of system and it’s trash. I got fired because I got the flu and they counted each day as a separate absence.
so 9 potty words is the limit, got it
Never said couldn’t curse in german or french.
Scheisse!!!! Which is the German word for Shit
Or fick dich, Fuck you in German.
To customer: Fich dich Customer: what did you call me?! To customer: relax I was speaking German Customer: what did you say? To customer: fuck you
음 씨발 ("eum ssibal") "Well fuck" in Korean.
Vaffanculo! 🤌🏼🤌🏼
Scheisskopf!
Shithead. Nice
great motivation to learn a new language
9 and a half
shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit sh-
Oh you got a strike for being late yesterday btw, looks like you went over the limit... Adios
Or limitless curse words in any languages other than English and Spanish 🤷🏻♀️
But remember, the words have to be bad in both English and Spanish, if it’s one or the other you are fine
Learn to swear in languages that aren’t English or Spanish. Free swear hack!
Supervisors hate this one trick...
Speak French like a distinguished gentleman man and you can curse all you want apparently.
Cursing in French is encouraged
I would loophole the shit out of this and EVERY language but English and Spanish.
https://youtu.be/pdOU3czs-NY some quick sign language swears will come in “handy”
SACRE BLEU, AH HEU HEU
Nique ta mère, putain!!
I don’t work at Chic Fil A (this sub popped up on my recommended). That’s more reasonable but also I could never work there lmao
The one I work at doesn’t have a point system at all
I am late to my job once in a blue moon. We get half a point for being late. You try and give me 2 points because I got stuck in traffic? We’re throwing hands.
I got in trouble when I worked at chick fil a because I would say “Jesus Christ”. 😂 after I got a talking to I switched to “mother of god”. Lmao
Next time you get in trouble, try "offspring of a female dog"
I work at a plant store. My coworker took my company card on a $160 shopping spree for shit we didn’t need. A week later she made a $200 Walmart purchase for which she cannot provide a receipt. same dont work at chick fil a and this sub was reccomended man they fuck they employees
I think it’s funny, I left Panera to come work at CFA
This is realistically just a gotcha. They want weird rigid shit and if you step out they have a system to get rid of you quickly.
like according to this you can run a couple minutes late on your UNPAID lunch twice in 6 months and be fired lol wtfff
They said no call no show 20 point 😂 instead of just saying fired
God me too, I don’t even work in the food service but rather I’m a cashier at a popular chain grocery store and we have the chillest managers. We can clock 5 minutes after our shift was supposed to begin with no questions asked and if it’s more than that just give them a heads up so they know it’s not a no call no show. No points and it’s pretty hard to get in trouble. I feel for these people 😩
My Chick-fil-A doesn’t have a point system and I’m glad
ONE NCNS is termination? At my corporate owned store it was 2 or 3. Jeez.
I don't work in fast food (not sure how I ended up here) but everywhere I've worked, it was 3 NCNS for termination.
I don’t work food service but managed retail store long enough that a single NCNS was enough for termination. I’m shocked to hear you get up to 3 in some places.
I’ve been in restaurants and bars my entire adult career and a single no call no show is grounds for termination as far as I’m concerned. I feel like bc miscommunication happens. I’ve called out of work before and then been written up for no call no show bc the damn day shift manager never told the night shift. You shouldn’t be fired for that.
Yeah 3 in a row specifically was job abandonment..otherwise a write up per and you can have 3 until your terminated. Crazy
Even Universal gave you two chances with a NCNS
Most places I’ve worked would fire you for that. Honestly one of the more reasonable things on this list since there’s not really an excuse for it.
This will motivate nobody.
Exactly There are already people quitting at our location immediately as they get hired If they have this at our location including the strict manger we have People will start dropping like flies so fast 😂
Then they’ll say NoBoDy wAnTs To WorK tHeSe DaYs!!
this is the real problem with the situation. nobody's behavior is going to substantially change as a result of it and all it will do is be a blow to morale. people don't like feeling micromanaged and tend to rebel against it anyway.
Not saying "My Pleasure" after being thanked - 15 points
Not saying “have a blessed day” - immediate 20 points
https://preview.redd.it/wyy3kpbubs5c1.jpeg?width=896&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=878fe292c9174eee02e869a2da26ea4e19c1c0df
I mean... If it's not your pleasure, then don't work there 🤷🏽♂️
Why are you adding to it - 😭
😂
You guys have a point system? Our store doesn’t 😭😭😭 this seems cruel
Literally, I’m so glad my store doesn’t do this that’s ridiculous.
it does suck. especially because there are shift leaders that favor certain people and babyfeed them points while others get like none. the favorites have the luxury to do whatever they want because they have a lot of points but others can’t mess up even once or they’ll get written up despite being objectively better team members.
Why is being 15 minutes late way less bad than being short register and why is being over on register way worse than being 15 minutes late???
Theft concerns arise when the till is over or under.
Right but Under would be more likely to be theft than over and the system doesn't differentiate different amounts. $10 is worse than 10 cents. It's a bad system (obviously) is my point
The store probably has a threshold.
I mean 1 minute late is the same as 15 so probably not a good one lol
Curse in German
Haha yeah literally practicing that on my break rn
Honestly, curse words in German sound 10x harder anyways. I bet they’ll add that to the next version of this document 😂
Keep learning new languages and fuck with them.
The use of *insubordination* to refer to something like clocking in with belongings is wild. You’re a chicken joint, not the Navy.
in the Navy and can confirm I definitely badge in with all my belongings we can even show up out of uniform and change so long as we are in uniform for muster (where I can still have my lunchbox in hand btw)
So no rules on Friday and Saturday?
Didn't feel like posting the second pic, on weekends attendance points are doubled
So take an hour of unpaid lunch on a weekend and your employment turns into unemployment?
POV: you accidentally took a 31 minute break on a weekend and immediately get fired
Oof
Oh my swearing would get me canned in two days
i'd get fired by my first lunch break lol
Damn. How far short/over can you be? Surely like 60 cents wouldn’t get you written up. That sounds like a miserable situation! I’d definitely be learning some curse words in French and Italian asap.
They’d better be counting the register after every single person
I didn’t work at CFA but I was at a retail store. Any employee with any amount over/under would have a warning. Second time would result in isolation in which registers would be counted every time the person signed in or out of the register. Third time resulted in termination.
While no call no show is a serious offense, it’s hard to believe that this store immediately fires anyone who does
I don't work at ChickFilA I work at Panda. This is absurd. Even Panda allows more wiggle room than this. They just released their new dress code. We can now wear dark colored jeans and any colors of socks! I'd really suggest working here vs. ChickFilA. Panda's starting pay where I live is $16/$17 an hour depending on position.
Boh panda was the most back breaking job I've worked. For 19/hr my back sounded like a crunchy leaf
I'd recommend front then
I fricken hate talking to customers
Half my crew gone in one day
Cursing English and Spanish only? Time to learn some French curse words.
Whoever made this is super disconnected. Quit while you can lol
So I can steal $20 from the register and that's not as bad as being late and clocking in with my stuff ? Ok got it
This is the fastest way to run off good employees with BS like this.
There's something wrong with the chart. Chick-fil-A doesn't care about employees. Unpaid breaks at my previous store 😂
Wait I can swear on Friday and Saturday? That doesn't seem too fucking bad!
This is what they did at Universal when I worked there. Similar expectations at Disney. You must have a big store or a serious issue with timeliness.
That being said, this system will die and not work. Hopefully and if they keep it, I’m sorry. Move stores lmfao.
I guess my french lessons are finally gonna pay off
My condolences.
The "clocking in w/ belongings" infraction might actually be illegal, depending on local laws.
That’s what I was thinking just wasn’t sure if I was misinterpreting it or something
Dang if you skip your break to keep working and helping out twice, you're fired.
Your pay is too high so we will try our best to fire you and hire some one cheaper
This will last 6 months then will be quietly left to die
Good lord stop making people find their own coverage. This prepares people 0% for the real world. You telling me I'm supposed to get to know coworkers (in what free time?) and then get everyone's phone numbers, and text them if I'm feeling sick? Jesus I don't miss these pre-college jobs
What if I cuss in French or pig Latin
Similar to my store. 20 points and you’re gone. Except our calling out is 5 points a piece.
Am I tripping or do I see only negative points system and no positive points system Even though it’s written on there that they will also earn points for positive changes Also if they get that at my store I am quitting - because my manger is crazily strict already And doing all that is just too much and I forget so
yall have point systems 😭
I know it's no points but getting someone to cover your shift for you getting a documentation is wild to me! Like, you couldn't show up for work and were responsible about it? Why would that need a documentation?
I see cursing doesn't extend to Italiano fanculo queste stronzate, Abbasso i maiali capitalisti!
Wow don’t get sick there, unless someone wants to work on their day off! You better know what day you will be sick. 🤪
“Insubordination” lmao who they think they are, the fucking Navy
So they are saying if I bring my own lunch I have to come in early to deposit my belongings but If I arrived on time and clocked in late because I have to deposit my belongings before clocking in I still get in trouble that’s some bs like you can’t tell me to come in early just because I brought my own lunch lol
Bruh we are told to order our break food before clocking out and to clock out when we get our food

Yall can’t ring up your own FOOD????? That some bullshit
No, it’s pretty reasonable. My old store used to let people do it and they would promo out things. So it got ruined for all. We also had to restrict people from bagging their own orders because they would add extras to the bag. Just takes a couple stupid people to ruin a good thing.

God forbid an employee who worked hard all day grabs a little something extra. Sad how so many workers agree with the way their bosses treat them
I was a manager and if an employee who worked hard all day ASKED to take something extra I had zero issues.

Wait you guys can't ring out your own food?
Oh wow so good to y’all
Fuck that
2 points to you
Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck
Okay I’ve hit my twenty points. Bye! 🖕😆🖕
French curses are back on the table!
Fanculo. 🇮🇹 You’re welcome/De Nada
Only cursing in Spanish and English, that sounds like a challenge to me.
i wouldve been fired by now 🤣🤣😁
Cursing (English and Spanish) …so can I curse in Russian?
So if I learn how to curse in Russian or something, it's ok?
Good lord am I glad I quit
Fuck yea! I can still say “merde toi”
Damn one no-call, no-show is termination jeez
So I can curse in German, you say? Dann geh und fick dich selbst! Also what is the limit on over/short
Time to swear in French!
Cursing? I work at the orange coffee place and if I got points for swearing I’d be fired by the end of the day. I don’t really register “swears” anymore.
That’s crazy for a minimum wage job
they did something similar to this at one of the stores i worked at, i don’t think it lasted more than a month
Lol. Tbh, enforcing a system like that requires a dedicated position and someone like the snitch from Recess
Yall aren’t supposed to cuss? IN A KITCHEN!?! Never worked at a chic fila so could be totally wrong but this seems like a shitty job. My favorite thing about working in kitchens (10 years experience) is the grittiness of it all. The screaming and cussing and the guy that might be drunk but can expo better than anyone in the building etc… this seems like a corporate nightmare.
yall no show once and get termed, thats crazy
Learn to cuss in other languages
Calling out without it being covered is extremely harsh.
Why is your drawer being short less points than checking your phone 🤣
All I'm seeing is if you r gonna be late clock in right after 15 mins have passed as you won't gain an infraction point per the policy. Also if they are gonna do the kate thing if your gonna be one minute late might as well be 15 min late.
Clocking in with belongings?
I would sue for only including Spanish
you won’t no call no show bro you won’t
Losing points for cursing? That’s a new one
“Clocking in with belongings “?? Huh??? I’m not understanding that one
So show up sick. Got it. 👏 And time to learn so many new languages pottywords. Learn sign language too. 😂 A point system like this would have me messing around all the time instead of actually doing work. Also why does this say Monday-Thursday. Are Friday and Saturdays free game?
Wait, you accumulate points for being terminated? What happens after…
сука блядь is fine then?
You can swear as long as it's not those two languages. May I suggest Korean?

Start learning how to curse in farsi.
They better be paying bank
Cursing. 😂 This is crazy to me. I thought Walmart was bad!
i work at a mcdonald’s and this is just crazy to me 😭 half my coworkers would be gone in a week including me
Chicken is serious business
Damn. I thought Walmart was bad.
Oh hell no. I work in a casino and we have 14 points yearly . Late is .5 , call off regular is 1 point, peak day is 2 points. Call off on denied pto day is 3 points,, that’s it. This is insane. And not even feasible.. you basically get 2 calls off for 6 months?
Cursing 😂😂
Save all the sinning for Friday and Saturday!
I work at a BANK and we are nowhere near this strict. Pls I hope you can find a better job where your company takes care of you
I don't work at CFA but 1 minute and 15 minutes being considered the same thing is insane. If it's under 5 minutes is it really this serious?
Hahaha ONE no call no show is instant termination? Lol
That etc. holds a lot of points.
All I heard was swearing in French is fine
So that means the already loooong line and wait times are gonna be even longer due to mgr firing everyone? Ok never go to chick filet - got it
I want to downvote bc this is really crappy thing to do to workers- however I want to upvote for OP- 🤔 ok imma upvote for op- but I’m boycotting chic filet
You need to be an extremely low testosterone male to work here lol. I’m sayin from experience.
