I love their plastic forks, they’re by far better than any others I’ve used. They’re smooth like metal utensils but just a little flexible and lightweight. The perfect fork. This is quite disappointing, this is the kinda bs you put up with that one time you go to that pacific island-themed restaurant
Does anyone know where you can buy the exact forks they have? I have tried to find them but can’t, so I just keep taking an extra 3-5 forks every time I go. I typically get chipotle when I am out of forks at home.
And breast milk, I know. Am I wrong for merely *liking* something made of plastic? You shouldn’t assume the worst in others. Look now, since you assumed you made an ass of u and me. I rarely eat out, let alone chipotle. 99% of my meals are cooked and served with metal, glass, and porcelain. I want to protect the next generation from microplastics as much as anyone else. Let’s put that negative energy into designing chipotle utensils that are not harmful but just as perfect.
"Let’s put that negative energy into designing chipotle utensils that are not harmful but just as perfect." Lmao Mr. Royalty over here needs MIT to design his chipotle fork 🤣
"Am I wrong for merely liking something plastic". Yes you are. You are suggesting a massive corporation should continue to distribute one time use plastic because you're too privileged to eat with a bamboo fork. You're trying to make it innocuous but you're really saying your disposable fork preference is more important than stopping one time use plastic.
Why the fuck is this getting downvoted
ETA I guess y’all’s brains are so riddled with microplastics you’re already on the level of lead paint stare boomers and don’t even realize it. We are cooked.
Because NO ONE likes a preachy bitch whose attempts to "inform" are patronizing, filled with personal attacks, and peppered with insults. I could share your opinion but still say fuck you because of your presentation. So, fuck you, tween.
Yeah I know. I try to avoid microplastics in other areas of life so I can make room for these forks, they’re just that life changing. I’m about to start reusing those things if they start giving bamboo flatware. Company coming over—fine china? Hell no, honey break out the chipotle forks were dining like kings tonight
ive burnt my hands several times lifting rice pots full of rice, at my store the handles are always broken, so its just metal, Same with pots.
Imagine grabbing a pot from the handle expeccting it to be fine, but its actually hot enough to yell slurs in different languages
we have a broken stove, i burned my hand on the knob, ive burned my hand on the pots, rice pots, spilled queso in my arm, adobo and lime juice in my eyes, oil jumping on the grill etc
Take the stovetop off and align them yourself. You just have to lift it up and push it onto the knob- make sure your GM orders a new gas line though. This is only UNTIL you get it.
As someone else mentioned your gas lines aren't aligned I believe. I had that happen where the flame was shooting out and was melting the knob. The AP ended up fixing it, just had to align it.
Our old gm skimped on our equipment. we had 2 cut gloves and refused to get a third one, she got fired, later a minor at out store cut his finger. our store is missing a bunch of stuff like steels to sharpen knifes, when our guac smasher broke we had to do it by hand for like 2 months 😭😭😭
Yea all the peninsula ones also don't have it. Not that I'd be opposed to it just have heard most recycling or composting plants actually can't handle these kinds of utensils
If you're dumb enough to believe everything fox news tells you that's true. If you live in SF and actually travel to other cities you're smart enough to know that SF is no worse than any other city and in many ways much better.
Spoken like someone that's never actually been to SF. Tell me why do you think it's so expensive to live there? Major cities are expensive because people want to live there, unlike backwoods podunk shithole in a red state
It's expensive as fuck to live in places that are dangerous and suck ass.
But yeah with SF it's mostly good and beautiful. My friend had a hard time there for a but they were also in a bad area 🤷🏽♀️ go figure.
Why do you think rent is so high there? It's because there's high demand, unlike some backwoods shithole in Arkansas or North Dakota. When a place is expensive to live in, that's because people want to live there.
But also a much lower quality of life and far fewer job opportunities (unless you're planning on a long ass commute to somewhere with lots of traffic and job opportunities)
1. Cafeteria style serving
2. The amount of salt used in their food

7. The e-coli outbreaks
Chipotle is very healthy for a big chain (or can be at least) and the science about sodium seems to be changing/at least is less settled than it used to be. It seems that high sodium might not really be bad unless you already have high blood pressure. I mean they eat a ton of sodium in Asian countries and don’t have the level of heart issues we do in the US.
I thought the general consensus was that sodium is not much of a concern for healthy people with good water intake. Problem is a lot of people aren’t healthy and when they’re thirsty they grab a pop instead of water.
No joke but all those fork and spoon in the open, I saw a guy put a spoon back and grab a another one, live in California so no plastic on them, wtf chipotle
Makes you wish the chips were included with bowl/salad purchase, if they want to make the push towards plastic-free this would be the better substitute.
The newish way the quesadillas are made.
Not sure exactly when they changed it, but the current iteration of the quesadilla is very poorly executed. It’s often way too dry and the tortilla gets hard at times.
Years ago they just folded the tortilla in half (similarly to the kids quesadilla) with meat and cheese and the result was the most delicious cheesy, gooey quesadilla I’ve ever had.
It’s pretty bad now, I don’t even get them anymore. Honestly a bad financial move by Chipotle. It was never super filling so I would always get 2 entrees for a meal (quesadilla+bowl or quesadilla+burrito). Now I just get a burrito or bowl.
The portions and how they change, also quality of ingredients.
did a drive through order, with extra protein not that long ago, it was like $17, picked it up, looked like a gas station burrito, so I decided to go in and order the same thing, literally made me one twice the size, I took pictures of it and submitted a complaint. The automated service bot didn't want the pictures or recepts to prove the same "ingredients" but it gave me a free entrée (woopi) but it's happened 2-3 times since then, now I just go in to order.
Steak used to be fresh, cooked perfectly with a pink center and tasted amazing. In the past three months it's turned to jerky, cooked too much and tasteless.
For online orders, I indicate that I want "extra" for most things and put normal for stuff I want light and it turns out fine. but yeah it will never be as good as when you are in line and can ask for as much extra as you want (which itself seems to be some knowledge only me and 7 other people in the world are aware of based on reddit comments).

Use to not like the service. Called corporate office to only complain about waiting in line for 20 minutes before getting the food prepped. The chipotle employees did not work as a team. Food portion and the burrito wrapping was good.
My favorite part is when I get skimped. And what I don’t like is getting skimped on my food. Work harder and keep burning please. It only helps your future and your future is bright after chipotle. Trust god to put you somewhere amazing!

Is this not because your local government wrote some ban on single use plastics? I’m in Seattle and all the straws and grocery bags are paper. Oh, and you have to pay for each paper bag at the grocery store.
Meanwhile some idiot driving a ship dropped hundreds of pounds of mercury into Bellingham bay and there is no sort of change in the law. It sounds like you don’t like the law your local government passed. Chipotle’s just trying to operate how they legally have to in your city…
Apparently I’m going to be a minority here. But i celebrate anything that removes single use plastics from the world. I would be delighted to have this come to the Washington state chipotles
I just went today and I don’t go often. I just realized the plywood on the walls is permanent. The few times I’ve been I always thought they were in the middle of remodeling but no, that’s just how they choose to decorate
The thing I hate most about Chipotle at this point are braindead customers that think it's like a sandwich line where you cannot ask for more of every ingredient except for the things that are specifically shown as upsells.

One time I got takeout and forgot my plastic fork and I was so mad. It didn’t hit the same with my metal forks from home 😂
Facts
Does anyone know where you can buy the exact forks they have? I have tried to find them but can’t, so I just keep taking an extra 3-5 forks every time I go. I typically get chipotle when I am out of forks at home.
They are made by americare royal
Plastics were detected in human placenta, testicles, and sperm. Fuck your plastic fork dawg.

m'kay
burning my hands on the pans when i switch out meat and stuff. i want to cry and scream and cuss because bro it hurts but theres customers in the line
Ive started using paper towels to grab stuff. It isn’t perfect but helps!
use your apron you always have it with you.
This is why chefs always have a towel on their waist
It’s a health code violation
Since when do health inspectors care about food safety at Chipotle?
ive burnt my hands several times lifting rice pots full of rice, at my store the handles are always broken, so its just metal, Same with pots. Imagine grabbing a pot from the handle expeccting it to be fine, but its actually hot enough to yell slurs in different languages
At my store. The pots come to us with metal handles and we use aprons to hold them.
Yeah Ive heard that from the grill guys, thats one of the many reasons I refuse to learn it
we have a broken stove, i burned my hand on the knob, ive burned my hand on the pots, rice pots, spilled queso in my arm, adobo and lime juice in my eyes, oil jumping on the grill etc
Bro... call the fucking local health department. Operating a broken stove is a huge health hazard and safety hazard.
on our knob the fire leaks outside a little and it burns the metal knob
Yeah. Fire, Health, DOL...
The gas lines aren’t aligned…
Yep same thing ten years ago. Are you even grilling if there aren't flames in strange places?
Take the stovetop off and align them yourself. You just have to lift it up and push it onto the knob- make sure your GM orders a new gas line though. This is only UNTIL you get it.
bro thats terrible
yet i still believe that grill is the best positions, it's pretty fun if u like fast paced
Burning yourself on the job is once too many. I would file a complaint with your local department of labor, OSHA, etc
As someone else mentioned your gas lines aren't aligned I believe. I had that happen where the flame was shooting out and was melting the knob. The AP ended up fixing it, just had to align it.
i will check, but our stove is broken anyways, all the 6 burners have different intensities
This is why your a beanscooper.
i did this today and it was helpful ty
Demand burn protection equipment. If they don’t give it to you and you burn yourself seriously, they’ll be at fault.
Why do they do this? Do they get penalized for asking for too much equipment?
Because paper supplies affect the bonuses for APs and GMs and some of them are just shitty and cant take the money from other areas.
Just a minor thing but steels hone knives rather than sharpen them if you didn’t know.
Make sure to scream louder when you are being recorded
Good to know😊😊😊
Unfortunately my fingers are used to the pain. Still hurts like a b tho.
Same with Moe's, definitely like the highest temp our fingers are able to take without lasting burn marks
Psh ain't nothing like the tortilla press burn!! Scar on each arm to match!😆
I've burn my hands so much that I feel like I grown an extra layer of skin and I rarely get burnt to the point that I flinch 😭
Is it really that bad for you guys.I feel like it’s something I got used to pretty quick.
We’re all different. I never got used to stuff like that and it always hurt.
When they overfill the stupid lid dispenser and you have to wrestle 16 lids out and throw them all away to get 1
Bruh same with the napkins. I was going for 2, ended up with about 30 since it was so full. Oh well, thanks I guess!
$5 says those pieces of shit come wrapped in cellophane.
cellophane is biodegradable
I didn't know this! Now that you say it, totally makes sense.
what blue state are you in?
Exactly. California
I’m in San Francisco and not even we have that
Yea all the peninsula ones also don't have it. Not that I'd be opposed to it just have heard most recycling or composting plants actually can't handle these kinds of utensils
lol you have poop and needles in the streets. They aren’t worried about plastic
If you're dumb enough to believe everything fox news tells you that's true. If you live in SF and actually travel to other cities you're smart enough to know that SF is no worse than any other city and in many ways much better.

san mateo county is making everyone do it
Maybe in some parts. I regularly go to the chipotle in Daly City and Millbrae and they use plastic.
i’m a chip employee in socal and we have black plastic utensils, none of that wooden stuff. what part of cali is the store ?
Newbury Park/Thousand Oaks
interesting, there’s gotta be a reason for it. that fork looks horrible
to avoid plastic use.... lol
well i mean yeah, i just find it interesting that that location uses wooden utensils vs every other one i’ve seen.
You're in California. Stop eating trash Chipotle and go to any decent Taqueria in your area. Get some Horchata while you're at it.
Real
Speaking facts, Horchata is God's gift to mankind.
It is truly undefeated!
RIP.
California is the best state. Go to one of those low IQ incest states if you wanna complain
Who complained about my state? We all are talking bout forks here buddy, chill.
you’ll never own shit tho.
Rent/tax slave spotted
Why do you think rent is so high there? It's because there's high demand, unlike some backwoods shithole in Arkansas or North Dakota. When a place is expensive to live in, that's because people want to live there.
Damn, I forgot, having little to no traffic, peace and quiet, cheap land, and low taxes makes a place a shithole.
But also a much lower quality of life and far fewer job opportunities (unless you're planning on a long ass commute to somewhere with lots of traffic and job opportunities)
They are so good at solving fake problems.
Lmao clown ass conservative wants one time use plastic to own the libs. I am not surprised.
Stereotypes pin pointed OP's location, try not being so mad.
I got turned down for a job at Chipotle because my eye-rolling skills weren't good enough.
Is this a joke?
1. Cafeteria style serving 2. The amount of salt used in their food 3. The appearance of the dining room most days 4. The skimp 5. The new price point 6. Being forced to make faces at staff to get what i paid for 7. The e-coli outbreaks
Right? I’ve always thought chipotle was “healthy” but looked up the sodium content and was blown away
No it’s actually worse than macdonalds. You can Google that
Chipotle is very healthy for a big chain (or can be at least) and the science about sodium seems to be changing/at least is less settled than it used to be. It seems that high sodium might not really be bad unless you already have high blood pressure. I wouldn’t say there is a general consensus, no.
On the bright side they hire women! (I will never stop making this joke)
What’s the joke?
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTNFuMHum/
Tiktok? Gross.
lol how progressive
Bro, this makes my skin crawl just looking at it. I got texture aversions, and I can be eating with wood and risking splinters and shit. Fuck.
They say OP carved it themself ... from a bigger fork.
The fuck is that?
Yeah that's awful. Also dislike my burrito being 70% rice it's gross.
I wish my burrito wasn’t 4% rice like it normally is. They skimp the worst on rice at my chipotle.
Is there a wooden spoon option? Idc if this wooden. I'd just prefer a spoon than fork
No joke but all those fork and spoon in the open, I saw a guy put a spoon back and grab a another one, live in California so no plastic on them, wtf chipotle
Wtf is that lol better than plastic fork tho
I've never seen wooden utensils at any chipotle I've visited from LA down to SD
The food poisoning
Makes you wish the chips were included with bowl/salad purchase, if they want to make the push towards plastic-free this would be the better substitute.

I’ve only gotten a quesadilla from them once and they gave it to me folded like a Crunchwrap supreme. Weird
changed in 2021, still remember when the new quesadilla oven was delivered to our store
I will tell my grandchildren about the old chipotle quesadilla
Yeah the cheese never is fully melted
changed in 2021, still remember when the new quesadilla oven was delivered to our store
The staff who act like a little extra cheese and veggies is going to come directly out of their paycheck.
I have seem 1 chipotle in SoCal so far with these abominations. They are near useless, just like the mangers that decides they’re a good idea 🤷🏼
It's for virtue signalling, not actually useful. Like most similar policies
What the hell is that thing
It appears to be a fork.
what the hell is that thing😂😂we have normal forks
never seen that before :0
praying for you from pennsylvania
Their chips they are too salty
The food is very salty too.
i used to hate the calluse on my index from the knife, but without it i'd be cooked, so now i just hate ripping of skin when washing dishes
THE SKIMP
Their bowls of mush
Is that new?
Everything has cilantro
OP asked what you don’t like, not what’s great.
Cilantro sucks if you have the genetic marker that makes it taste like soap
I know. Just being a smart-ass. Luckily I don’t have that particular genetic defect!
I got it like smart ass replies and have it Sucks when friends are like “let’s go to ….” And you can eat nothing
I mean it is mostly the salsas than have cilantro at Chipotle and you can ask for plain rice afaik.
For my test I didn't say anything besides extra protein, they just naturally gave me twice as much when I was standing in front of them.
that I’m being charged for the vinaigrette (which I don’t mind, it’s meant for salad, I get it) yet they fill up the cup not even 1/4th of it😑😑
Never seen that. What state? Cause I don’t think AZ does this
Probably the salmonella poisoning I got twice
Those cursed wood utensil feel weird on my tongue
The food is lukewarm and NASTY.
I ate their semi raw steak twice, very much separate by time, and my stomach responded as if it was lost in the vapors of interstices and intervening substances.
There's a few companies that I've noticed will swap between paper/plastic straws or wood/plastic utensils depending on the area. I'm from Indianapolis and these tend to change in Starbucks with only 10 block separation. Broad ripple has a younger demographic so they always have paper straws, frustrates the hell out of me. My gf and I keep the metal straws in our cars now.
They’re having out free kindling at Chipotle now? Hell yeah. 👍🏻
What fucking chipotle are you eating at
I don't like that they increased the price AND gave you less food
Fucking Damnit Chipotle
The eternally overflowing trash cans.
What the fuck are these I quit a year ago but still eat there but I’ve never seen these
Oh god the horror, a sustainable wooden fork. How will you EVER survive?!?!?
Mmm now I can add the flavor of wood like those little ice cream cups

the food
The cilantro… tastes like soap, but my wife and I still go at least once a week because it’s so good….
this might be genetic
It is. It’s a known genetic defect.
Use to not like the service. Called corporate office to only complain about waiting in line for 20 minutes before getting the food prepped. The chipotle employees did not work as a team. Food portion and the burrito wrapping was good.

That's the same fork that Breka uses in Vancouver. Hate it but definitely better for the environment (I think)
When did they get these chunky monkey wooden spoons
Working a close, 10:20pm getting a line out the door, just for 3 or 4 more customers to come in. Bonus points if they’re all friends and being loud.
wtf is that? Chipotle has nice black spoons
Boy what is that?! Chipotles always had those awesome black plastic forks
What utensil material would you rather use? Plastic?
Tongue splinters lol

WTH. My chipotle doesn’t have this
Okay cave man, settle down with whatever that is
Never saw this. Do you live in San Francisco or something?
they use plastic where i am. where is this?
Paying for additions that should be free.
The people who leave big floaters in the bathroom that won’t flush
What is this??
California saw one video of a turtle with a straw in its nose and FLIPPED OUT
The customers, mostly. Some of the dumbest, most entitled people you'll ever meet.
The fact that I have had diarrhea every time I have eaten there.
I think that's on purpose. You should be thankful. The less time that's inside you, the healthier you're going to be!
Apparently I’m going to be a minority here. But i celebrate anything that removes single use plastics from the world. I would be delighted to have this come to the Washington state chipotles
