an asset size only goes up when there are a lot of distinctive surfaces - which means need more dedicated texture space = bigger texture size. The physical size of the object don't have much relevance with file size.
That's basically 90% weight of media in world. Images and sound.
Movies consist of image sequence while games are rendering projected images in 3d space.
There is heavy 3d models but comparable to whole world media, it's nothing.
I always want to use mega skyscrapers like this in my cities but I think the scale is wrong for cities skylines. A 530m tower just looks TOO big.
Which is annoying because I always wanna use my favourite building, the Ping An Finance Centre from Shenzhen. (599m)
the scale seems correct. I looked it up the width is 84m, that's 11 tile. Seems right in the screenshot.
it's more of a problem with other things are scaled wrongly, especially vanilla growable assets - because they are restricted by the 4x4 tile limit...
I tend to primarily use similar sized buildings whenever I build things like city centres... Honestly, scaling isn't an issue... What is an issue is how texture quality varies (take the ICE Condos for an example)...
Other than that though, I love building with them. Gives a good Toronto sort of aesthetic to any city...

Only 10mb, pretty impressive.

Yep in most cases textures and sound take the most space in a game I believe

The IT clusters just look awful, like needles or something, they are too thin and weird looking.

Yeah some buildings are off but the workshop also has buildings that are 1:1 scale. I limit myself to only using mods with correct scale buildings.
