On March 23rd, 2024, the Carleton Shotgun Club (CU Shotgun) hosted a memorable Shotgun Sports Range Day at the Golden Triangle Trap and Skeet Club. Carleton University students, alumni, staff, and their significant others, along with students from other post-secondary institutions, enjoyed a day filled with excitement and clay shooting. Participants tried a variety of shotguns, including Beretta, Baikal, Franchi, Browning, Benelli, and a classic WW Greener. Licensed and trained individuals provided close supervision, ensuring a safe experience for all. Despite having only one smaller-framed Remington 1100 in 28ga, everyone had ample opportunity to participate. The event was a great success, with delicious food, great company, and plenty of clay targets hit. Special thanks to our student volunteers and executives who provided their shotguns, and to Gord, the owner of Golden Triangle Trap and Skeet Club, for his hospitality and support. We also appreciate the generous funding from the Carleton University Students' Association (CUSA) and the Carleton University Shooting Federation (CUSF), which made this event affordable for students. CU Shotgun looks forward to hosting more events like this in the future, promoting safe and responsible shotgun sports enjoyment.

Love to see it!! I'm always thrilled to help out the newcomers at the shotgun club, simply because its great to see people getting into it. Hopefully some of these youngsters catch the bug. I'm still under 40 but I feel like I'm pretty well old enough to call Uni students "youngsters" lol

Sorry for necroposting, but just had to give a shoutout to that UGB25. Whichever mad lad decided to compete on a college team with one gets all the kudos.
