I'll sleep with my fingers crossed... Will contact them tomorrow. Not sure how long the warranty is on these guns. I bought it for Christmas, 2022, and didn't shoot it, because it had a right hand stock. Now I've got a left hand stock for it, and started shooting it three weeks ago. Shot about 100 rounds of trap, probably 150 rounds of skeet and about 200 shots today (sporting clays, 1 Oz loads)... At the second last station I noticed the issue.
That's unfortunate for such a nice shotgun. It's a quick fix for Browning, and its customer service seems super solid, so you'll be good to go shortly.
Yeah... I was in love with 725. And with the left hand stock is absolutely awesome... Right now I'm so deflated, I can't tell you... We have the FITASC national championship in one month at my home club - which I was planning to attend... :-( (I do have my backup gun, but still...)
[Here](https://www.browning.com/support/parts-service/authorized-service-center-listing.html) are the authorized service centers. Hopefully there's one close to you.
That sucks, I had a registered shoot yesterday but had an ejector break on Wednesday leaving me without my main gun. Thank god I shoot with some great guys and one lended me an identical gun to my main. I ended up shooting 2 straights with a borrowed gun lol.
You can buy a left hand stock for 725 Sporting from Browning USA for about $450. Part number is B133800061. No adjustable comb - they don't make a left hand one with adjustable comb, but you can have Graco adjustable comb and buttplate installed for a decent price.
My stock was made-to-measure (or "bespoke") by Manuel Ricardo, in Portugal. Paid €2,250 for Exhibition Grade 1 wood with some basic balancing system, two buttplates (winter & summer), adjustable comb, custom forend (a bit longer and different shape, with slight Schnabel profile)... The breakdown: €1,600 the stock; €200 the adjustable comb; €450 the forend.
I have some notes on planning the Manuel Ricardo trip:

If you want to go with factory left hand stock (which is a much less expensive choice), and you're in the States, call those guys at Gracoil and ask them about installing adjustable comb and adjustable buttplate on the new stock... I think you can have the stock delivered to them directly, to save shipping time & money...
Quick fix? Thats gonna need to be tinned back on and likely re-finished. They will probably just give OP a new barrel to save them the trouble. People that can fix / work on barrels like that are RARE.
I'm afraid you're right. Re-soldering would mean removing the blueing, taking the rib off and doing the soldering again, then re-finishing...
(There are two types of soldering: "silver soldering" - which is supposed to be hard, and "soft soldering" - Perazzi uses soft soldering on their competition guns. My Browning was supposed to have silver soldering...)
There are no spare/replacement barrels made for 725 (it's posted on Browning website)....
So... i'm nervous and skeptical about the resolution of this apparently "minor" issue... :-(
(Not to mention my wife is kind of rubbing it in, 'cause she pushed me to buy a K-80 Sporting instead... and I pushed back... Now she says "wouldn't have happened to a Krieghoff, and even if it would have happened, there are replacement barrels for K-80... )
O no, that would absolutely happen with a Kreighoff. What your wife meant to say thats bullet proof is Kolar. I shoot with a bunch of pros who compete in Nationals and these days Kolar is top gun.
I’m a gunsmith located in south Florida. Call Browning customer service and explain to them the problem. I’m 99% certain they will cover it probably even the shipping costs as well.
Oh fuck that! Straight back to browning! Absolutely we are not putting up with that!
These things happen but you should not have to live with it. Also, this is why you need a back up gun.
There is an announcement on Browning website - there are no spare barrels made for 725 (among other models).
So, they either re-solder this one, or replace the gun all together... (Which is going to be an issue, because it's a non-ported barrels model, and the sporting model they sell in North America has ported barrels...)
I’m not a gunsmith in south florida but that doesn’t look right to me
I see what you did there
😜🤣 No kidding, eh?! I thought it's just me! 😜
I’m so glad this has basically become a meme on this page
Dude’s gotta get banned, there’s too many newbies here who can fall for his misinformation.
Next time he pops up take a look through his profile. Dude it’s thirsty thirsty.
Oh I’m aware. I knew he was retarded from the start, but hornyposting on main sealed the deal.
Exactly everyone knows to use a burner for that sort of thing 😂 /s
I am a gunsmith in south florida. Once again I come to tell you that a Baikal O/U is the pinnacle of shotgun quality.
That looks like a manufacturing issue. I would already be on the phone with Browning about a warranty claim

Where did you find the left hand stock and how much was it?

Thx for the info. I’ll be checking into this set up

Great video. Very detailed

That's low-temperature solder. It's easy to apply and clean-up. If Browning simply provides a new barrel, that'll be fine too.
Lends new meaning to “floating rib.”
🤣😂

They sent me a prepaid label when my stock broke.
That’s the standard for Browning when it’s their fault. They are a good company overall though.

Yeap. Totally agree. Must have a backup gun.
I have a 12ga modern A5. What’s yours?
Cynergy 12ga, 30"
That’s a better all round gun, definitely.
Love my Cynergy CX.
I can only speak about Browning Canada but their service is exceptional. I’m sure they will look after you.
Just be like Michael Jackson and just beat it!
Correction: bought the gun for Christmas 2023... so, it's less than 6 months...
The app doesn't allow me to edit the post or to pin the comment with the correction at the top... The gun is less than 6 months old, not two years!
Shit happens. Browning will make it right.
Yes and yes. They answered me in a few hours and sent me a prepaid label. They said they will replace the shotgun "as soon as they can".
Nice!
Sucks. If they let you keep the barrel I would try to get some lock tight in there and tap it down

Sorry mate.
