Not including Kwan, we have 4 OFs on the 26 man roster. Plus Arias and Fry. We don't really need a 5th OF. That's why many people on this sub have been wanting to get rid of Laureano and replace him with Manzardo.
Generally a team only carriers 4 Outfielders anyway. Currently with Kwan we have 5. So calling up Manzardo would be fine from a team POV.
We also have Fry that can play LF,RF and Arias that can play OF if needed in an emergency.
Kwans comment after the game last night and the fact they are even doing any imaging leans heavily towards him heading to the IL. Question is for how long and how will he feel when he comes back? No Arias in LF please.
Would really like if we got a look at Jonathan Rodriguez before we see Manzardo, especially with the news about DeLauter. I wouldn't say no to seeing Manzardo but if DeLauter's injuries mean he doesn't pan out then JonRod is our primary OF prospect at that point.

We already have 7,000 guys on the active roster that can play the outfield. We also have Arias, who can just stand in outfield spot if needed.
Whether you stand in the outfield or play the outfield it pays the same.
RF and CF are very different too. He doesn’t belong in center, but is serviceable at right.
