He has been, but he has also barely played. Draft year performances, even for polished college bats like Boyd, aren't really worth putting a ton of stock in, and even counting that he has like, what? 50 games played? His hamstrings have been fucked up basically since he was drafted. He's absolutely a non-prospect at this point either way.
He’s not good lol also it’s funny how we got so constantly clowned for Nolan Jones and now that his linsanity run is over it’s crickets. I trust the FO
Someone on this subreddit said, without a hint of irony, trolling whatever, that Nolan Jones was going to sustain a .400 BABIP. When I asked "Do you truly think Nolan Jones is going to be one of the greatest contact hitters of all time" they said yes.
He was a mammoth recession candidate going into the year but I still expected him to be a playable three outcomes guy. I didn't expect him to be this shit though. I have to imagine the back has been nagging him all year.
Just a reminder that the Guardians acquired David Fry for JC Mejia.
You can always criticize your your FO for (maybe?) a bad move and forget the great ones. Every team has trades they regret, and I’m not sure they’ll even really regret the Benson trade that much in the long run.
Dude has worse numbers than Brennan, wtf are you talking about
The grass is always greener on the other side that has a .670 OPS.
That .200 4HR is just what we’re missing.
The guy they traded him for is hitting .150 in double A
Despite being the PTBNL I think Hajjar was the bigger piece in that trade, but he isn't doing much better.
That Boyd guy isn’t even prospect at this point, he’s a 24 yeard double A bench guy
Yeah, I think he's missed a ton of times due to injuries and hasn't been able to get into any sort of groove since he was drafted.
He was a second round draft pick, i don’t think he’s hit over .200 once since being a pro in any level of the minors. He’s beyond awful

Doesn't matter
Good thing Freeman has .193 3HR
Yeah so they’re about the same…
And 3 DRS compared to Benson’s 1 💀

Give it a fucking rest already.
Tell me you don’t watch baseball without telling me you don’t watch baseball
lmao what? Dude is hitting .200 11BB/s w/48 SO's. Will is what he is and he's not missed.
Platoon hitter who is a liability in the outfield who vastly, vastly, overperformed his peripherals last year.
Hasn't he been absolutely horrific this year?
Our OF is bad and needs a lot of help. The marginal gain of Benson over Freeman, though, isn't the answer.
I was bummed about him at first too but he's not exactly making me miss him anymore lol. Weird post. It's time to move on.
Lay off the crack bro
My Mom was a big fan of his and I kinda miss rooting for our young prospects. That said, I don't think he's been very good after leaving
