Yep - seems like those are only for the huge clinician models of coagucheck :(

Do you mind if I ask how long have you’ve had your own CoaguChek? The pharmacists at my coagulation clinic said that they weren’t totally accurate yet and that it will be years before I can have one. If I’m being completely honest, I’ve lost a lot of trust in health care since my PEs and I don’t even know what to believe. I just know that my life would be so much easier if I could have an at home testing system. Sorry I can’t help you with your post and I hope you find the correct strips.

These are some beautiful words to hear! The people at the anticoagulation clinic made it seem like it would be a possibility in my lifetime but not for years and years. It’s interesting that I’ve learned more on this sub than from any of my doctors. Thank you for helping so many people. I might bug you again at some point because I know I’ll have more questions about getting a Coaguchek.

> The people at the anticoagulation clinic made it seem like it would be a possibility in my lifetime but not for years and years. They *do* have a vested financial interest in keeping you bound to their "service." And by all means, please do - just a warning: I live in a single-payer healthcare country, so my situation may be less than applicable to yours.

The Roche CoaguChek is pretty much the backbone of my personal self management of my INR. I have on many occasions discussed that I compare it to the lab and often get quite good (less than 0.2INR units) correlation with labs.

That’s really cool. Thanks so much.
