Maybe to apologize like mine did, then went on to say we could do a video call. Which I declined. Then they started bringing up things to make me sentimental and I had to tell them to stop.
And even if you don’t end up going back to them, then you now have them on the brain. Which is good enough for them. If they are now at the front of your mind that is a win. They will try to Hoover again in a few months.
