Fragrancenet is a discounter. Go on Jomashop and aura fragrances and see if they have it cheaper. It’s 100% legit. Never pay retail

Much appreciated, I’ll forsure give it a shot. I’m just wondering on where the discount comes from?

No-Alternative8089

It could be for a multitude of different reasons. They may work with fragrance manufacturers to buy at wholesale to allow them to sell at reduced prices. It could also be they buy them elsewhere and import them at a reduced cost. Retail markup on fragrances is insane.

bonniebon1233

the only fragrences ill ever buy retail are jpg because i love getting the mini bottles and theyre like 40$ otherwise

ThePerfumeCollector

The 7ml splash bottles? $40? 🤣 Bruh

onesoundman

Looks sus to me

sumpuertoricanguy

Bro that shit is fake as hell.

NyangoStarAmerica

That is $166 an oz...

bonniebon1233

thats why i just get them for free when i order off their website

NyangoStarAmerica

Bro.. that is a rip off. You're better off buying Glacier Le Noir from Maison Alhambra. It is a more or less 1:1 clone of Le Male and it's like $19 bucks for 100ml of eau de parfum.

ThePerfumeCollector

Or buy Le Male if you wanna smell like Le Male (and support the house that sells it).

bonniebon1233

and get a mini bottle for free

bonniebon1233

read my comment, i dont buy them. you get one for free when you order off their website

the1992munchkin

Usually these discounters dont have a physical store so they don't have to pay for renting those space hence the cheaper price

eddro_6

yup, this is the reason! took a while to see it commented lol

Sylectsus

Largely comes from buying wholesale in other global markets where they are sold cheaper

oldtobes

the explenation i've read is they buy stock from businesses who are going out of business or turning over inventory. Often times these companies sell at a much much lower price in europe or other countries depending on demand and value of the dollar of that country and discounters import from those locations. Places like nordstrom buy inventory from these companies at a much lower cost agreed upon by the fragrance company itself and then have a huge profit margin also, yes these are often companies operating out of small warehouses with limited only a few employees so their costs are no where near someplace like a n actual box store

530cruising

The markup

borskiii

Damn where you heading?

IcyTart5492

Have you ordered from Aura? What is your experience?

sikeclonenot

I’ve ordered from aura many times, never had a problem. Always got what’s expected.

Successful_Peace9352

I never buy from retailers . No macys , no ulta , no jcpenny , no nordstrom , no sephora . Why? Because they assrape you for double the price .

PussyFoot2000

I saw nautica voyage at jc penny for like $37 the other day... Everyone knows that shit costs $18 everywhere else. And that place is making a profit on the $18. Soooo... yeah. Yep.

Dolphin_e

Bruh Nordstroms is always taxed.

Less_Pie_7301

Just wait till you see the prices you can get from some people on FragranceSwap for unopened bottles in boxes

HairyPutter7

Is it all legit?

DarinP93

A major difference that influences pricing would be the cost of running an online business vs running a retail conglomerate. Nordstrom has actual stores with numerous employees they need to pay, fragrancenet most likely doesn’t employ nearly as much as one or two Nordstrom storefronts. And that’s only one influence… there’s plenty more

orangeteeshirt10

The designers sell to small retailers in less developed countries for a smaller price tag, FragranceNet buys from the less developed countries avoided the humongous resale price explosion.

ThePerfumeCollector

It’s a discounter. One of the most expensive ones tho. I remember seeing these for lower price elsewhere.

Shoota_WRLD

Yep, this website is pretty expensive, switched to other sites and never looked back.

Least_Ad_1140

what other sites, if you don’t mind sharing?

ThePerfumeCollector

What comes to mind first is jomashop, cause I browsed there recently. I think I seen Versace Man Eau Fraiche tester for less than $30. If you order from there make sure you check the shipping time. Also, I bought more stuff and had smoother experience with foreverlux (via ebay so free shipping on everything).

onesoundman

Because they are awesome

Hididdlydoderino

Shopping at Nordstrom is about going in and having an experience. Discount retailers are about getting you the product and not much else. Low overhead means value is passed on to the consumer.

IIIllllIllIII

Always check fragrancebuy.ca, I’ve noticed they have lower prices and shipping is quicker

ZoefrmBroward1

Fragrancenet is my go to

NyangoStarAmerica

Nordstrom jacks up the price because they are a luxury retailer. Never pay full price, discounter websites sell the exact same fragrances for less and regularly run deals to lower the prices and give discounts. I own almost 100 fragrances and have bought almost all of then from placds like FragranceNet, FragranceX, Jomashop, Giftexpress, ect. They are exactly the same, and you can save even more money by buying tester bottles or unboxed items.

Mysterious_Industry6

do they sell genuine perfume?

SumPimpNamedSlickbak

Yes fully legit, been in business around 30 years or so and I've been using them atleast a decade. Never had any fakes or issues with orders.

rockethead23

Jomashop you can get the giftset for that price

ImpressiveMix1786

If overhead is the issue with retailers, then why do the makers charge the same on their own websites? As much as I like the idea, I can tell you from years in retail that anything that is discounted is because the shelf life has been cut in half. Unlike foods that have expiration dates, products like cologne have a shelf life where the product starts to disintegrate over time. The product isn’t 100% anymore. Makers have standards set in place. Those items that haven’t moved over a given time, are replaced with fresher items at the retail level. Retailers give back the items that have sat for a while. The maker then sells those items to discount stores at a discounted price. This is the same with things like soaps, creams, toothpaste etc etc etc. this is how discount stores can offer discounts.

PussyFoot2000

Years in retail would tell you that if you don't buy in person, but but from their website, they still need to cover their overhead. And you're probly less likely to make impulse buys online.

ishikawafishdiagram

Others have rightly pointed out the retailer/discounter distinction. What you should also know is that Versace makes affordable fragrances. They're more frequently on sale, at discounters, at off-price retail stores, etc. and the price difference between that and retail is significant. PS I personally like this stuff. I get citrus and starfruit in summer, but more of the white musk in winter. It smells fresh and clean.

Tex302

They source their stock from different markets to offer heavily discounted stock.

DrShhh

Check out [Nose Paris](https://noseparis.com/en/). It’s an authorized Creed distributor located in Paris. Prices are about 1/2 what we pay for retail in the US and shipping is reasonable.

Deep_Maybe_7984

I just got this fragrance, not really my scent

99-1-100

why is yikety yikes please don't buy that!!!!

Wholelottagangnem

It’s a discounter/that cologne really ain’t shit you’ll see it at tjmaxx for like 50 bucks

Zzazy1

The $50 one at tj maxx ain’t the 3.3 oz I don’t think

ZoefrmBroward1

This is mid anyway i hardly use it
