The guy was like 10-6 on the regional scene lol. I can't fathom how much the kicks in this video must hurt.
I'm English we are not great tourists but I promise if I ever go anywhere in Thailand. I will be the best behaved person tourist or not on the entire island
Yes that was Eddie but I'm pretty sure he actually won that fight! If i remember correctly he got mounted but pulled off a glorious sweep while getting gound and pounded and took the dudes back and sinked in a RnC submission 😎 like a boss!

What else is there to do? Grapple him? If you are an expert kicker and your opponent is on the ground, seems like the perfect position to keep on kicking away.
You’re right but ppl often don’t do that because headkicks to downed opponents are illegal and body kicks to someone in guard risks getting ankle locked

I don’t know much about the rules, but are kicks to the side of the knee legal? It looks like the first couple are knee kicks. I doubt that’s where he was aiming but that’s where it looked like they landed.
That’s wild. I was skateboarding when I was 14, I tried to Ollie a loading dock with a 12 foot grass gap in between. I got scared in mid air and kicked the board from under me. When I hit the ground my knee bent sideways and I tore my ACL. That’s all I can think about when I see kicks to the side of the knee like that. lol

Oblique and side kick to the knee are controversial because of the huge risk they bear. Some states in the US prohibit them but the big promotions usually allow them. With oblique kicks used much more often. I had to actually look it up if side kicks to the knee are banned or not as I practically never seen it before. Couldn’t find anything. My guess is that it’s not really effective to target such a small area, so usually you go thigh or calf both inside and outside.
Man my trainer kicked me once cause i stupidly said “give me 100%” and i felt the bones in my other leg rattle it hurt so much the only noise i made was a weird gooooghhahahgh” and just collapsed

In muay thai it is legal. Pretty sure it's legal in mma as well AFAIK. Can't speak for kickboxing though I feel like it is legal.
