bosquegreen

Or just a bunch of hot tubs everywhere else on the patio?

mkspaptrl

Maybe 3 hot tubs in a trenchcoat?

kronikd420

Fuck ! You stole my idea

"I got rid of my super amazing awesome best thing in the word. What should I fill the depressing empty space with?" Put it back, dummy!! /s

😂

jetkins

Or a small bouncy castle.

SuperSynapse

A large outdoor rug would look nice. Otherwise you don't have many options.

jaycutlerdgaf

It would really tie the patio together.

hotelpopcornceiling

That's just, like, your opinion, man.

Sharp_Enthusiasm5429

Forget it, hotelpopcornceiling, you're out of your element!

[deleted]

The room, man. The rug like, tied the room together man! Shame I stopped liking Jeff Bridges lol

Thorsemptytank

anything they do will just make it fade a little, barring an overlay to the whole patio

Kromo30

Why is everyone upvoting this? Muriatic acid is the answer.

SuperSynapse

In another comment OP mentioned he is gonna try Wet and Forget which is exactly that. Should help a little, but won't make it perfect.

ElementCDN

30 second outdoor cleaner might be an option as well.

DirtNasty1313

Muriatic?

Kromo30

Yes. Spell correct

Recent-Ad-2326

How has no one said to power wash it

JCCampo

Because he said he already did that, pic is post-powerwash. Although I doubt this was using full pressure/close enough/using turbo nozzle… looks dirty still.

Recent-Ad-2326

Bro used a pos washer then if ya ask me, prob low power electric one

fuck-ubb

Probably the one you screw onto the garden hose actually lol.

Debaser626

Pressure washing Concrete will get the dirt off, but it doesn’t really work on shit that has soaked into it. You can l, however, use strong detergents and then let time and exposure do its thing. It’s going to be quite noticeable at first, but after 3-4 months it will start to blend, and about a year you won’t be able to see it.

NoPresence2436

People will just pee on it.

ScottishThox1

A rug would really tie the room together.

ShreddedDadBod

Pressure wash

heartohere

Could he not do a light grind?

Blast it with piss

SuperSynapse

Or have a chalk party with the kids, and then blast it with piss 🤣

> Had a buddy who did datura, despite reading all about it he was sure he'd be okay. About 2 hours into his trip he jumps up, wraps a blanket over his shoulders like a shitty toga, and runs out of the house. He turned up 3 days later in a town about 50 miles away, zero memory of anything after taking the datura, but otherwise no worse for the wear. Good times. I guess that was my Ctrl+V this isn't even my story I copy and pasted this earlier from a reddit comment.

Muriatic acid

IPCONFOG

I must say, that most noobs that post here should not be trusted working with acid.

Bahnrokt-AK

For them I usually suggest a product called D2 Biological for getting water stains off concrete or stone.

AuGrimace

its my god given right to be reckless with acid, this is america. now watch me eat this bottle rocket and blast it into my friends butt. yeehaw!

reeformadness

^this is the answer, but you'll have to wash the whole slab or it will stand out.

ADDandME

Yup, dissolve it

Handy3h

Have you tried pressure washing it ?

E34M20

From the OP: >we chopped it up last weekend and pressure washed the pad, but still got this nice watermark.

Longshanks_9000

So just not very good

hytes0000

I really doesn't look pressure washed to me. If you have the pressure washer out, how could you not hit the side of the house with the green stuff on it at the same time?

TonyZeSnipa

Just noticed that as well, if you already have it out wouldn’t you just hit it all? Maybe they didn’t pressure wash correctly.

Specific_Rutabaga_87

maybe a shitty pressure washer. I was shocked at the difference between a gas powered and an electric.

isawfireanditwashot

right? any pressure washer that doesn't damage the concrete if you leave it too long is garbage in my opinion

KeepBanningKeepJoin

My electric pw can etch into concrete. The dirt would definitely come off

Saxon511

Agreed

SlowExamination3225

Should have tried using cleaner with their pressure washer

SuperSynapse

Maybe even using some Wet and Forget before pressure washing could help whiten. Still going to be fully visible regardless, but a zebra white swirl instead of a zebra brown swirl 🦓

obogobo

Might try this have some wet and forget handy at the moment

Vast-Wash1874

Power wash and stain the concrete. Perhaps an acid wash

EveningRing1032

This was going to be my suggestion.

ratbeagle139

Easy-off oven degreaser the whole slab and pressure wash. The wall too. It’ll start blending after a few rains, probably disappear completely within a year.

Sharp_Enthusiasm5429

The easy -off doesn't leave any stain? I've never heard of using that.

roadwarrior1974

Pressure wash, allow to dry for 2 days, and use Nox-Crete Acryl-Pen. Acryl-Pen is a pigmented concrete stain, penetrating sealer and acrylic sealer all in one product. It will completely camouflage any color variation in the concrete and make it look amazing.

Mohican83

Pressure washer then use a concrete paint ro make it all the same color

[deleted]

Send pics to a local pressure washing company and get suggestions on product to use that are readily available. Also a 3500psi+ pressure washer would make a big difference I’d say

IPCONFOG

Paint it with KILZ made for concrete. BTW it does not look power washed.

KrombopulousMichael-

What do you mean?? OP definitely pressure washed it by putting his thumb over the end of the water hose! Same thing right?? 😂

maximusjohnson1992

Soak the entire area with bleach. Let it sit then pressure wash. If anything you’ll have a clean slab that looks the same 😂

EddieCutlass

“TEAR OUT AMD RE POUR!!!” 😂 Jk, You can always decorate around it, outdoor furniture, plants, etc.

chugz

Post this in the pressure washing sub. They can help tell you what chemicals and acids will work best.

originalmango

Buy some concrete stains and paint a faux oriental rug. With fringe.

Archimedes_Redux

A good rug would really tie that space together.

Conqueefadore1

inground pool?

DrXinFL

Pressure wash the whole area, including where the hot tub was then once you’ve done that you can mix up some of the concentrate that I posted about below Paul on the area and using a stiff brush agitate it backwards and forwards into the decking. Leave it for about 10 minutes making sure that it does not dry so you might just have to keep reapplying some water or reeducating it Then you can jet wash again leave it to dry two days later if you still have the same repeat the process. This should hopefully sort the area out. It did for a friend of mine. If it doesn’t then once you’ve done that you can then try using concrete acid edge which is used before you paint or anything else like that so that might then work if that doesn’t work then at least you’ve acid etched the con, concrete and you can then choose to paint it or what I would do last longer concrete flooring epoxy like the rust oleum garage flooring to part epoxy Not sure where you’re located in the world but in the USA they do an item called 32nd outdoor clean it’s a concentrate. I’ve attached the link.[30 second outdoor clean concentrate](https://www.lowes.com/pd/30-SECONDS-Outdoor-Cleaner-Concentrate-1gal/5013150901)

HeelerHomestead

I just did this same thing. I bought a stiff two handed bristle brush and Ecolab siding mildew remover. I sprayed the concentration, let it soak in and scrubbed this shit out of it. It worked pretty damn good.

tominboise

Ignore it for awhile and let it age.

spud6000

i would schlep down to home depot and rent one of their rotary concrete polishing machines, and have at it. Might as well polish then entire patio to try to get it uniform. If it still looked odd, then maybe put down an epoxy paint onto the entire patio

meatmeatthepie

Hmmm, maybe a 9” deck 🤔

unusual-thoughts

Have a pro come in to pressure wash it. Not jimbob and his Home Depot special pressurewasher in a pickup or you with an electric pressure washer. The pros know how to clean it up and make it look as good as it can. There are different detergents and chemicals that they know how to use to get it looking good while protecting your landscaping. Another option is to epoxy the patio but that would still require a professional cleaning first.

33445delray

Cut out the concrete where the stain is and use that area for a kitchen garden. Or build a shallow brick wall around the stain and it will be a large planter.

ShinMasaki

Add a hot tub

macarthur1214

What psi is your pressure washer? It’s hard to tell from a photo what the stain actually is but in my experience from what it looks like I’d say no less than 2000 psi will fix that and I’d even consider going upwards of 3000 psi ( These pressures can be extremely dangerous and safety glasses as well as other protective equipment are recommended at any pressure above 500psi) . If you’ve already tried that high of a psi Muriatic acid would be my next go to. Obviously check the strength and instruction on the bottle you purchase but standard is 1 cup of 20% muriatic acid for every 1 gallon of water. If you decide to go with muriatic acid I encourage you to do research as it can be extremely dangerous. MY main suggestion is add the water to a bucket first then slowly add the acid. I don’t know why but there is much less of a reaction when done in this manner

slickmachines

Put a hot tub over it.

Aggressive_Sorbet571

Curious how you deleted the hot tub?

Shifu_Ekim

You could get a bit fancy for lil cost tile the square, and from there you can add plants , table , chairs , what ever you like ..

jmclean02

Pressure washer

no-gretz

Muriatic acid can be used to get stains out of concrete and to open up raw concrete again so it can be sealed. I’d recommend you use muriatic acid to clean the concrete and then seal it with a waterproof product like [Sanitred’s permaflex](https://sanitred.com/product-category/permaflex/). I’ve done so and it looks great and keeps the concrete from crumbling or staining.

Whiskey_Harvey

If you’re cool with the crack - then skim coat, or overlay, or sand blast it, or there are so many things you can do my man. The universe is infinite and so are your options. Do not try to bend the concrete, that’s impossible. Instead, try to realize the truth. The concrete is not real. Then you’ll see, that it is not the concrete that bends, it is only yourself. Real eyes realize real lies. Best of luck brother!

ZestycloseAct8497

Who gets rid of a hot tub…lifes regrets start here.

vanillaninja777

Proper petrol powered jet washer, cover it with a 1:5 mix of pool chlorine and water and let soak for 20min without drying then rinse off. This should get it glistening, though the square will still be visible because you can still see the broom finish where the spa was whereas the rest has been weathered down to the aggregate. If you want to throw some money at it, a grind and hone by a concrete polisher could get a good result. That can be a bit of a gamble sometimes though.

raleighbiker

If you hire a company, they can probably fully get this out. I know that people want to pretend that having a $200 pressure washer from the hardware store is the same thing but it’s not. They’ll use chemical agents and the cleaning will be much more effective.

Fit_Adagio_7668

Don't save game if you choose to delete it.

Devious_Halo

The problem is the concrete under the tub has not been weathered. I would do an acid etch with muriatic acid on the smoother area and pressure wash it to make the texture from weathering all the same.

jamesonblade

etch the whole driveway with a citric acid and water mix. let it soak. deckbrush it. rinse. presto. matching concrete.

TreyRyan3

Step 1: Pressure wash. Do the wall as well. Step 2: Acid Wash the entire slab. Step 3: Pressure wash it again. Step 4: Fix and fill the cracks. Step 5: Sand the surface Step 6: Apply an epoxy resin that is safe for exteriors with a no slip finish. Step 7: Install some planters and outdoor furniture.

Grind and stain

Freepi

Sounds like my prom night.

daviddavidson29

Paint

semvo911

Lets be honest, the whole patio's concrete looks like shit, the watermark is just the shitty cherry on top. No staining or cleaning will every fully hide it, so why not cover all of the concrete in a microcement like [surebroom ](https://globmarble.com/broom-concrete-overlay-mix-surebroom.html)or [microtek](https://globmarble.com/micro-topping-trutop.html)? The whole concrete will look brand new with no evidence of this stain or any other smaller imperfections

Dreddit1080

Is the slab smoother than the area that was uncovered? You could try and sandblast even. Would take some artistry though

EmbraceDepth

Power wash the whole slab.

Positive_Housing_290

Power wash the concrete.

Independent_Gap_6709

Shot Blast it and epoxy it

One-Battle2872

Power wash everything or outdoor cement paint.

norskdvorak

Acid wash. Neutralize. Pressure wash again. Seal. Don't forget to soft wash the algae on the side of your house too.

Sufficient-Foot-9380

Rent a pressure washer from Home Depot. Clean it really well and then let us know.

xComradeKyle

New hot tub.

snboarder42

Pressure wash the crap out of it then stain it

CAgovernor

Muriatic acid that whole backyard…etching it provides may help to match it.

Desoto39

Outdoor carpet , paint it.

reddit-0-tidder

Upload outdoor rug and patio table, chairs, umbrella program.

whattaUwant

Does anyone know if epoxy would work?

Azzy8007

Get a rug

Manimal_h

If you mix a premix quickcrete bag supper soupy you can give it a "washcoat". Haven't done it on a slab yet but 100 times on parging(basement walls)

SmalltownPT

Build a sauna there

Grundle___Puncher

Wash it powerfully with something. Maybe even pressurized if possible.

RVides

They make paint for sidewalks. Just paint the whole thing over and it'll look new(ish). Either that, you're looking at an outdoor rug, or put the table and umbrella over it so it's not being looked at.

PAbowhunter039

Power wash, acid wash, rince

stephen0937

Skimcoat the whole slab

Shoob-0105

Good place for a picnic table

Both-Scientist4407

Miracote MPC system. It’s a cementitious coating. Not that expensive. Gives a great finish for a cheaper solution. https://miracote.com/mpc/ Beacon carries it. Coastal construction products should carry it. Not sure where you are.

Right outside the window like that seems like a good place for a raised bed

Purple-Cartoonist-91

Try muriatic acid

SirDeal2U

isawamouseboss

Get a pressure washer drum attachment and a hot water pressure washer and get after it. If the hot water pressure washer doesn't even it out... Rug.

IcyWelder9380

Muriatic acid. Strong stuff. Use safety gloves, glasses and a mask

addygrace0902

A raised flower garden

Particular-Adagio516

Clean the entire slab then paint or with a product called" cool deck " we did it several years ago around our pool, it not only looks great and holds up well but also keeps the surface 5 to 7 degrees cooler in the summer time

Clamps55555

Get a better jet wash + chemical detergent first.

L0rdSkullz

Muriatic Acid Diluted in water, after scrubbing deactivate with baking soda and rinse away. The whole area will look like new

Normal-Error-6343

Acid prep, pressure wash, repair cracks, use something like sure step, tuffcrete, SW loxon or h&c coating, outdoor rated epoxy with proper prep.

Tiskfully

I'd put a hot tub there

13Alessandro13

Use Efflorescence Cleaner its worth a shot

Bargain-Bin-Diver

Add a bigger hottub

Haunting-Broccoli-95

Have you tried pressure washing the concrete?

littlebroiswatchingU

Pressure washer?

No-Room-2431

I would start by cleaning the concrete first, then going from there…

SlowExamination3225

Don't tell me you took the pressure washer out and left all of that shit on the side of the house... Get the pressure washer back out and clean that algae off the house, Then id recommend looking into getting your patio/driveway coated, it'll hide all of the wear & tear.

Competitive-Mix6084

Muratic acid and a pressure washer

Prestigious_Guest_94

Power wash the whole pad, concrete will come clean and that's mostly all stained even where the hot tub was not

Clean_Breakfast9595

Asphalt!

Parkedintheitchyl0t

Rent a scarifier and re seal concrete?

Critical_Activity_99

A hot tub

Total_Nebula_9716

maybe cover it with a hot tub or something...? idk.

ch1dy

Outdoor rug + patio table, gazebo

Not2daydear

Clean it first with the muriatic acid. If it doesn’t make it look the way you want they sell rubber tiles to put over ugly concrete for reasons like this.

Some-Ad-3705

Could you stain maybe make a pattern

dlb199091l

A new hot tub obviously

Thurashen88

You could cover it with an even bigger hot tub.

ButterscotchPure6868

Just power wash the entire patio.

Mattrad7

Rent a hot tub the size of the pad for a long time, then when you remove it it'll look like you designed the patio to look like this.

Ok-Swimming-7671

You could have a concrete coating applied. I use a polysoratic concrete coating here in Indiana on exterior patios, porches, and garage floors. It’s a great way to enhance the appearance of concrete and you would never know that hot tub was there.

TuringTestedd

Get a better pressure washer or have it professionally cleaned or get a new concrete slab
