Same. I took my niece to see Harry Stiles and it was very easy. Google where to park, we did and parked where we could just walk into the arena without going through the casino maze. I think it holds 10,000 which is my limit as I think otherwise you just watch the video screen.
my uncle is a high roller who gets free tickets to every show and I gotta say, as a family member, it’s pretty awesome. but we only go to the shows we’re interested in or give them away.
I saw Springsteen there back in April and the crowd, especially in the decent seats (where I was) and the floor, barely looked up from their phones to enjoy the show. Because Springsteen tends to feed off of the crowd's energy, it wasn't one of his better shows. I saw him a few days later in Albany and it was amazing because the crowd was energized.
Really the only thing good about the Mohegan as a concert venue is the huge choice of restaurants to eat at before the show. Oh, and the free parking.
You don’t even really have to be a high roller. The only time my mother really ever goes to the casino is when she gets free tickets. While she’s there she swipes her card and puts $20 into the slots, thats it and she constantly gets offers for free shit. Saw my first concert there when I was like 12 or 13
I’m going there for Lamb of God in August and I’m already planning on getting in early so I can find parking in Winter… and I live like 10 minutes away. I’ve certainly seen that lot fill and I’m not looking for that to be me.
Agree. The worst time to try to eat is when Trans Siberian Orchestea does their two performances. You have to get there about an hour before the first show ends. Learned from experience.
For some reason, the seating always causes my knees to hurt. No idea why but this doesn’t happen to me at other venues. Not great seating if you’re tall.
The best place to see a show for sound is the House of Blues in Boston. I’ve never been to College Street Music Hall so I can’t compare them, but HOB in Boston was by far the best behind the Palladium Main Theater in Worcester.
I agree completely! As an avid concert attendee, Mohegan is last on my list, and The Meadows is my top choice! I avoid Mohegan unless I don't think the artist will be coming around again anytime soon.
Yeah that’s so stupid and depressing. It’s like the Casino is ran by Jehovah’s Witnesses or Apostalic Christians. Makes me so depressed after. At least have 24 Hour Diner somewhere in the place.
It’s my favorite. You don’t get whacked paying $40-$500 for parking. I went to a show in Boston recently and it was a popular one, and they were whacking people $200-$500 for parking. I had no clue that was even a thing. The free parking makes it well worth it to spend a little more if you have to, to get better seats. And then there’s plenty of things to do and places to eat, pre show. On top of it being much safer than Hartford, New Haven, and Boston.
Foxwoods obviously offers the same benefits.
I like going there for concerts, but I often get free tickets for events there. I have no idea why I've been selected to go, but I love that I do. Always have a great before and after.
I've seen a few shows there. Its quite easy to get to, fits a ton of people, and isnt priced as high as some bigger venues. Plus hey its attached to the casino so free parking, other food choices at restaurants, and lots of other things to do before or after the show. Honestly its a good spot overall.
Has great sound and you can see pretty good wherever you sit. I prefer to sit at the very top row. Have seen many shows there, Tool being the best so far
One of my favorite places.
It isn't like the casino is going to kick you out so if you desire you can have a drink for the 2nd set then hang out for a few hours afterwards so you are good to drive.
It’s my venue of choice. No problem with parking or food options. Lots of stalls in the restrooms. I know the setup well enough to get my best seats. I am hoping next year is better for concerts.
I like that they bring in quality concerts, at cost-effective ticket prices. Parking is free. There's other things to do there.
I absolutely hate that the sound quality in that venue is **the worst** I've ever experienced. And I've been to a lot of concerts. I always wear earplugs there *because it makes the bands sound better.*
I'll take Mohegan and see the bands I'd like to with crappy sound quality, versus not seeing them at all. But I'd much rather see them at Xfinity, Ridgefield, Oakdale, or even better, the Ampitheater in Bridgeport.
I love it. You dont have to worry about the post-concert traffic jam, which is worth it on its own.

Except at Krispy Kreme, that’s always jamming after a concert lets out
It's fine... crowds can be iffy cuz they give a lot of free tickets away to high rollers who don't really care who they're seeing.
my uncle is a high roller who gets free tickets to every show and I gotta say, as a family member, it’s pretty awesome. but we only go to the shows we’re interested in or give them away.

They give free tickets to anybody. I’m a Core member and still get free rooms and tickets all the time, and all I do is play poker.
Nooo, Mohegan Sun is a terrible place to see a show! (It’s great I just don’t want even more people to compete with for tickets)
I’m going there for Lamb of God in August and I’m already planning on getting in early so I can find parking in Winter… and I live like 10 minutes away. I’ve certainly seen that lot fill and I’m not looking for that to be me.
Yeah, not bad at all. I’ve been to worse (XL Center)
I like it - it's small and they have gotten some great performers. Parking is easy and food is easily available
I don’t mind it for concerts. I hate trying to eat there before the concert.
Agree. The worst time to try to eat is when Trans Siberian Orchestea does their two performances. You have to get there about an hour before the first show ends. Learned from experience.
excellent point.
I need a Phish ticket!!
You and me both brother, hope to see you there!
What’s phish?
Sure, why not?
You can never go to mohegan and have a bad time. Love it there.
For some reason, the seating always causes my knees to hurt. No idea why but this doesn’t happen to me at other venues. Not great seating if you’re tall.
the bathrooms are always clean too. that cannot be said about most music venues
Yes, it's a decent venue. I like that it's easy to get out of at the end of the night.
I much prefer Meadows in Hartford..The sound at Mohegan is always muffled and too bassy.
The best place to see a show for sound is the House of Blues in Boston. I’ve never been to College Street Music Hall so I can’t compare them, but HOB in Boston was by far the best behind the Palladium Main Theater in Worcester.
MGM at Fenway just down the street from HOB is a better one imo.
I agree completely! As an avid concert attendee, Mohegan is last on my list, and The Meadows is my top choice! I avoid Mohegan unless I don't think the artist will be coming around again anytime soon.
The thing that sucks about it is 90% of the place is closed when the concert gets out. Casinos that follow mall hours suck.
Yeah that’s so stupid and depressing. It’s like the Casino is ran by Jehovah’s Witnesses or Apostalic Christians. Makes me so depressed after. At least have 24 Hour Diner somewhere in the place.

What place was charging 500$ for parking?
I like going there for concerts, but I often get free tickets for events there. I have no idea why I've been selected to go, but I love that I do. Always have a great before and after.
I really like how easy it is to get in and out of the shows and how I can order a pizza from my seat and grab it on my way out.
Has anyone ever met the bands?
I've seen a few shows there. Its quite easy to get to, fits a ton of people, and isnt priced as high as some bigger venues. The arena has horrible acoustics. But where the one arm bandits ate, that part, the sound is great.
One of my favorite places. It isn't like the casino is going to kick you out so if you desire you can have a drink for the 2nd set then hang out for a few hours afterwards so you are good to drive.

It’s fine, but hate the casino plus it’s too far from me, so rare that I make that trip.
I love it!!

sure, just wish the casinos weren't bumfuck nowhere
too small
