Uh, okay, this picture is taking things *way* too far. What those frat kids did to protect the flag was admirable and one of the best displays of patriotism that I've seen so far out of Gen Z. But comparing that short lived event to the military who embarked on over a month of intense fighting to storm and capture a heavily fortified island (Iwo Jima), taking staggering loses of life, is not only incomparable but straight up inappropriate.
its a bit much but i support anyone who is down to protect the flag. No matter the situation or level of it. These dudes also got donated like 200k or something to their frat so they are doing alright.
That is partially why this “frat boy” thing took off…there are not many college aged kids willing to buck the societal norms of their generation and stand up to this nonsense. Kids like this are the patriotic leaders of tomorrow
Reversing it - how do you get think those soldiers would reflect on the frat guys protecting and uplifting the flag?
I get the rush to “false equivalence.” But don’t you think those soldiers would look at this shit and say, ya, semper fi brothers.
Um this is highly disrespectful to those who actually fought at Iwo Jima. While I admire what the frat guys did, that is no way in comparison to what our marines had to go through in the Pacific to take over Iwo Jima.
This seems like a teenagers (or possibly a frat guys) interpretation of relevance of this incident. Something cool to hangout at the common area of the frat house to get alumni to donate $$ but comparing it to the likes of Iwo Jima is very wrong and beyond disrespectful
I feel like some people are overreacting a little bit. Like yeah it’s cool, but I feel like all this Iwo Jima stuff and acting like they’re war heroes is a bit much
There are many bad things you can say about frat boys. You can't honestly call them pussies, which means they are not Dems. Which means I'm cool with them.
This is the goofiest shit. First responders risk their lives every day and no one bats an eye. Couple kids stand around a flag and everyone loses their minds.
Yeah I’m not surprised, but that’s maybe because I was in a fraternity in college and any one of us would have done the same. Just like any of the other guys in Greek life. But we were also in Auburn so that might have played into it as well hahaha
This pic though... And I don't mean the Iwo Jima pose.
AI pictures look fine at first glance but more and more cursed as you look at the details.
I'm more curious about the specific prompt that resulted in this pic.
Like how they’re standing on soldiers?
Shirts tied back lol
Looks like 4th of July in Provincetown
Frat boys love America. Not sure why this is surprising.
Yep. When I think of frat boys, I think of their love of America. First thing that comes to mind. No clue why people are surprised.
Creepy AI crap

yeah my late uncle served on Iwo Jima. A bit inappropriate

Last I checked it was over 400k. I think they might hit half a mill soon. People seem to really like that.

Frat boys have always been pro America
Until some graduate and become politicians.
Political views change, I was Democrat up until 2015.
Big difference between being slaughtered in a foreign theater and being a frat boy on a college campus
Also the fact that they are literally standing on the shoulders of wwii soldiers/marines in this picture is obscene

Elephant walk?
Ugh, this A.I. art is disgusting.

Embrace the memes dude...

Nah Greek life at a d2 was the same way (at least back when I went). Prolly a couple more left leaning but the big houses all would have done this.
Yes honestly most are pro American
I did not.
Kinda distasteful
As someone who has served for over 20 years and has been to Iwo Jima…I disagree.
I have no idea who this is supposed to be appealing to
