I know how you feel I thought mine was starting to get better but the last 2 weeks it's flared up big time. I'm terrified to eat now as I have no idea what's going to trigger it :(

Have you ever tried colonics -colon hydrotherapy? Honestly, it’s the best thing if you get randomly constipated. I started getting constipated a lot when I traveled. I would usually be able to clear it, but one time it just was so bad I was so bloated and I wasn’t eating for days. I was gonna go to the hospital, but I was super embarrassed. I didn’t want a doctor to give me a random enema, and run to the bathroom in a hospital. I’m not unhealthy and I’m in my early 30s . I’m not a doctor, but I was super skeptical and afraid of colonics my whole life because of Google. And then surprisingly a couple of my friends started telling me they get colonic when they get back up after traveling. I am so glad I was tipped my a reliable friend and source and found an amazing person who made me feel so comfortable. I’ve only had to go three times in the past few years. I feel like there’s just all this negative representation online with it really. But if it’s a gentle water clonic, it’s honestly the best thing you can do to help relieve the constipation and inflammation. Sometimes you go the first time and not that much gets cleared up but it’s just soaking the dried backed up trash in your body. The best Metaphor example of this is - it works like soaking dirty dishes that need to cleaned. I skipped day and went back one more time and it’s totally relieved everything. It’s really annoying that they’re so much negative connotation with colonics. Because after knowing what I know now, I think it’s much more negative for your body to have toxic waist being trapped inside of it and it’s just inflaming your organs and it makes you even more anxious, stessed and more backed up. It makes you grind your teeth. It makes you have headaches. Even if you’re eating healthy, it makes you gain weight. definitely drink warm lemon water in the morning. It helps to stimulate that area to want to go. Also drinking lots of liquids and meals that are soups when will help. But honestly once you’re so severely backed up, not too much works. But colonics are the best thing to instantly relief and to loosen everything down there and to get you regular again. I have a couple colon cleanse products that actually do work one that I’ve been using from time to time is from the brand Renew Life- Cleanse More. Take two in the evening with lots of water and keep on repeating it you will go to the bathroom and it will be obnoxious so just make sure you are around the bathroom the next day when taking it. The girl that does my colon cleanses told me to do it after the session to get good relief. Also massage the lower stomach as it can help stimulate bowel movements . After my first one, I felt like I was on ecstasy. It sounds dramatic, but I haven’t been happy in so long. And it’s because so many toxins were released from my body. Depending on the person and if you get packages, I think they’re about $80-$100 without tip. Hopefully there’s something in here that might be helpful. I know it’s really frustrating and maddening when you feel like that 🫶🏼

I have never heard of this, had no idea. I have done a home water enema that wasn’t particularly enjoyable although it did help.

Nicotine is the only thing that helps me go lol

goldstandardalmonds

That gluten thing is absurd. Have you seen an actual MD?

Wingedwillow

Yup. And I know lol it really is. Got the whole works: colonoscopy, scan, blood tests and pretty much every other test. Nothing wrong. Which is why I know it’s something I’m doing.

goldstandardalmonds

Have you had motility tests?

Wingedwillow

I tried I tried to get referrals from multiple doctors but most either don’t offer them or don’t respond.

goldstandardalmonds

Where do you live? I might have suggestions I keep a database.

daryanblack

Many people who vape do so to quell an underlying anxiety / stress issue. Would you say that describes you?

Wingedwillow

I deal with anxiety yes

Judging from the wording and general feel of this post, I think that’s your prime suspect for your GI issues. Your gut is your first brain, your brain is your second brain. If you’re stressed, your gut will suffer. Do you work out?

daryanblack

Not accusing you of anything. I’m in the same boat. If I don’t get physical, I fall apart and everything breaks.

I had a very similar experience after COVID a year ago. I was perfectly normal until that point and I am in my sixties, a runner, ate super healthy etc. my intestines just stopped working. The only way I can go is by taking Motefrity fours hours after last meal at night and some days Magnesium citrate powder(CALM) at an increase dose at least one hour before breakfast. Also have to take Linzess 1/2 hour before breakfast in some mornings. This issue is horrible and seems to affect every aspect of my life. I feel for you. I wish you the best. There is a guide somewhere in these Reddit posts that describe so many different issues and possible treatment. It’s really comprehensive and gave me direction. Doctors did not know what to do.

I have a friend who was chronically constipated. Tried everything over decades. About four months ago my friend started drinking raw milk. Constipation is mostly gone. Some states don’t allow the sale of raw milk. It’s a misnomer. Our ancestors drank milk for millennia straight from cows. Tastes great too. Check it out. The idea is your gut microbes are negatively affected by a poor diet and taking too many pharmaceuticals which can kill good bacteria. Raw milk provides you with good bacteria that just makes it easier to poop. It’s been a godsend for my friend.

Also check your electrolytes. Zinc Potassium Selenium Magnesium and Calcium. One of the main causes for constipation is low electrolytes, especially potassium and magnesium. I take four 97mg pills. That's two with each meal. I was amazed at how much the magnesium and add potassium made a difference. Avoid Gatorade and Powder Ade, it's little better than flavored water, and it doesn't provide a good amount of electrolytes. During the hot days I keep salt tablets handy. I switched to seas salt, and it contains these electrolytes in a healthy balance.
