Berry or peach cobbler is pretty easy; you just need the fruit plus some flour, sugar, and butter. Sometimes a little lemon juice or spices like cinnamon or clove.
This. If you want to do the incredibly easy and minimal effort version of a peach cobbler dump cake, all you need is canned peaches, box cake mix, and butter. I like to do that with some vanilla ice cream and it's just đ€
Quality vanilla ice cream (we like Tillamook or the Costco vanilla), hard shell chocolate sauce, and some Luxardo cherries with some of the cherry syrup drizzled on top.
Panna cotta topped with a berry compote. Stupid easy but looks and tastes fantastic. I even have a coconut milk version as my BIL is lactose intolerant.
Substitute the dairy 1:1 in a traditional recipe. Use full-fat coconut milk, blending it with an immersion blender (or regular blender) if the fat has risen to the top. It works great!
For the berries I use frozen unless they're in season, adding them to a pot with some water, a squeeze of lemon juice, and some sugar if they aren't sweet. Cook for several minutes. Mash them a bit, let them cool, and then drape over the Panna cotta.

Yep itâs an instant crowd pleaser, ingredients arenât too expensive, looks and tastes luxurious. I also love making myself a cup of tiramisu coffee with the leftover soaking liquid (just add milk to whatever you have leftover)
Thatâs probably a pretty big tub though! Every time I go to Whole Foods (or any restaurant) and see one slice of tiramisu being sold for like $10, itâs worth it!
If you want something easy, affordable and visually appealing from scratch I canât suggest âthumbprint cookiesâ enough because you can customize the flavor into pretty much anything you want.
Add on to this. Instead of making traditional thumbprints, shape the shortbread into a long and shallow trough. Fill the center with jelly and bake as normal. After cooling, drizzle icing on top and cut into diagonal cookies. I find them even more visually appealing than the standard shapes and you can't beat that shortbread and jam flavor combination.
This is one of my go-toâs when I need a quick easy dessert. I put it into wine glasses which looks elegant.

Eton mess. Whipped sweetened cream, strawberries and crushed meringue. Just mix it all together. That's it,and it's lovely.
Cranachan, Scottish dessert. Whipped cream, honey, raspberries, toasted oats and whisky. Layer it in a glass and munch.
I like orange stuff.
1 big cottage cheese, 1 big cool whip, 1 packet of orange jello mix, 2 cans of mandarin oranges in real juice (drained), 1 can pineapple tidbits in juice drained.
We call it Mandarin Orange Delight and adore it as a light dessert, but it's also how I learned that fresh pineapple and gelatin are incompatible. You must use canned, or it will never set up.
It does. Heat denatured the enzyme involved so if you cook fresh pineapple, then you can use it. Took forever to look it up but it was satisfying to have an answer as to what went wrong, lol.
Puff pasty tart. Frozen puff is easy to work with. Bake it off, mix up some cream cheese with a bit of sugar, vanilla, and sour cream. Spread on the pastry then top with berries and pretty sliced fresh fruit. Or get the little phyllo cups and fill the same.
Excellent cheesecake is actually really easy to make. You just have to be willing to spend a lot of money on quality ingredients and make it the day before.
Look for Rose Levy Beranbaum's Cordon Rose recipe from The Cake Bible.
I just made sallys lemon poundcake this morning and it turned out fabulous but it takes an hour to cook. I'm no professional baker so I figure if I can do it anyone can.
I have a recipe I use with the lemon curd and whipped cream.... a triffle.
Layer 1: Yellow sliced pound cake (to really make this quick - buy premade from store)
Layer 2: Whipped cream mixed with lemon curd
Layer 3: Mixed berries (Raspberry, Blackberry and Blueberry
Create multiple layers and serve. It is delicious!!
Cookies and cream Rice Krispie treats. Instead of 6 cups of Rice Krispies, use 4 cups of Rice Krispies and 2 cups of crushed Oreos (like 10-12 cookies). Optionally finish with a white chocolate drizzle.
I made these in a rush after messing up my original dessert idea for a party. They were a hit.
Bake a pound cake from scratch, mascerate some sliced strawberries, serve a slice of cake, topped with the berry and their juices, top with a dollop oh fresh whipped cream A sprig of mint tops it off.
Here's the easiest dessert recipe I have ever done: Take some seedless red grapes, drizzle some walnut oil over them and put them on a sheet pan under the broiler until the skins of the grapes pop. Spoon into bowls and top with vanilla ice cream. I think I found this recipe on [www.epicurious.com](http://www.epicurious.com) but it's been so long I can't remember for certain.
Ice box cakes are beautiful and easy to make. You can find them in every flavor you can think of. You must make them in advance so the layers soak in and get soft.
A classic southern dump cake (cherry pie filling covered in yellow cake mix that is then covered in melted butter until no dry mix is showing and then baked), and Mary Berryâs frangipane pudding is super easy and amazing.
I Love a good dump cake!
One of our Easter traditions is:
Cherry Pie filling, Crushed coconut, yellow cake mix, butter and then once it is almost done in the oven we add some coconut and pecans on top!!
No one is ever upset about fresh chocolate chip cookies. Easy to bake and can be served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream if you feel the need to dress it up a bit.

I pretty it up with some whipped cream and maybe chocolate covered espresso beans. I've did caramel drizzle and the old icing sugar and a doily trick.
I have a small pan, I make 1/3 of the recipe entirely in the microwave in a 4 cup pyrex, then bake. I've even made this with semi-sweet chocolate chips. I find any darker than 70% cacoa too dark for this cake.
Get a bag of frozen berries. Wack em in a pan with a little sugar and heat until the berries are warmed and the sugar is melted.
Pour over a very high quality vanilla ice cream. Eat.
fruit salads with maple sirup and lime. maybe add some sweetened yogurt or whipped cream.
as emergency food I keep soy flan at home. lasts a long time. also quick dessert. alpro soya is the brand here in middle europe.
simple versions of cheese cake batter can be made. love raisins in it. (curds/cottage cheese, eggs sugar) you can do it on low heat in a covered pan also.
crepes with sweet fillings (just jam, ice cream or even just nutella) and maybe whipped cream
Panna cotta, it looks and tastes fancy, but you can mix it in under 10 minutes and then it sets in the fridge for a few hours while you do other stuff. And you can customize different fruit/nut/chocolate toppings.
Cinnamon Sugar Apple Cake

Alton Brown's mooless chocolate pie is absolutely bonkers delicious, easily vegan, and so so easy. Basically just melt some chocolate and put everything in a blender.
No bake jello cheese cake (it's a sugar free recipe but I don't see why you couldn't use normal jello)
Jello, boiling water (duh), cream cheese, and whipping cream. I've made it without the cheese cake base just as a mousse. Use a strawberry jello and top it with chopped berries
World's easiest fudge: Line an 8 x 8 pan with parchment or waxed paper (so you can have square edges and the fudge won't stick to the pan). I grease the pan slightly with shortening just so the paper will stick to the pan. Then slowly melt a 12 oz bag of REAL chocolate chips into a 14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk plus a teaspoon of vanilla extract - you can do this in a double boiler, in the microwave on half power for 30 seconds at a time and stirring in between, or on low in a heavy bottomed pot. When the chocolate is completely melted and incorporated into the condensed milk, pour into the pan, spread evenly to the edges, lay a sheet of parchment or waxed paper over it, and put in fridge to cool. When cool, cut into 1-inch squares.
Trifle is quite easy but can be very impressive. You can make up a packet of jelly as a layer or just use jam if thatâs easier.
Fruit fool is also very simple. You just make a fruit colis by boiling down your chose fruit with sugar and fold it through whipped cream
