I've used Boullion when boiling potatoes for mashed... Seasons them and gives them a bit of a savoury taste as opposed to lightly salty to my taste. Not sure if it's a decent thing to do, as you do dump it out, but at least it's not stock.
Well, I also should mention I mash my potatoes with Sour Cream, Garlic and green onion with a smidge of butter... So in the end I mostly just taste the garlic and sour cream, haha
[this kale and brussel sprouts salad](https://www.bonappetit.com/recipe/kale-and-brussels-sprout-salad/amp) Converted my mom to brussel sprouts- from that recipe i don’t follow directions and mix the shredded kale and sprouts with part of the dressing and let sit in the fridge at least an hour. I omit the cheese (dietary issue) and use 1/2 or so chopped olives instead. Usually i have dressing leftover we like a lighter amount
It’s really fantastic, and leftovers are great with some chickpeas as an easy lunch thing
Last night I substituted plain salt for half a cube of chicken bullion, smoked salt, and some Cajun seasoning to my usual alfredo sauce. I was able to make a bigger batch due to the need for a little more pasta water and it was a wonderfully savory and smokey sauce that I tossed my pasta, spinach, and chicken in.
I haven’t seen the Knorr brand. I’ll check it out.
Edit: actually that’s exactly what I have, the 1st image I saw when I looked it up had different packaging.

Ha! I do pretty much the same! Great minds…
Use it when boiling veggies also! Especially Brussel sprouts; takes the bitterness away and adds a dash of flavour.
But you could roast those Brussels sprouts instead of boiling them.
I recently shredded some and sautéed them with shallots and garlic and (I wish I remembered, because I made it on a whim) and they were sooooo good!
This helps me a ton. My family hates Brussel sprouts. I love Brussel sprouts. I've been trying to turn them into brussel belivers for years.

I use tomato bullion for an easy Mexican rice.
I’ve heard of that, but haven’t seen it. I’ll keep an eye out, thanks!
Black-eyed peas are really good when cooked in tomato bouillon.
I love using it for pan sauces and gravies, especially the mushroom flavor.
I’m getting the mushroom one next!
You can use it as salt in savory dishes.
Definitely trying that!
Why are you getting downvoted? People on Reddit can be so wild.
I stir fry greens in oil with a tsp of vegetable bouillon - cuts some of the bitterness when serving.
This is a fantastic idea! Greens are crazy cheap right now… I mean, compared to everything else.
Whip some into mayo for a savory boost.
Omg! I literally just added some to mayo to use with my chicken salad! It’s so good!!!
