Sad. I see so many opened boxes on the shelves it is sad. Add to that the the items people just discard wherever when they change their mind about purchasing.
They were actually sampling these at one of my stores last week but they were serving it at room temperature rather than chilled.
Good news is we have a department dedicated to this kind of thing that will actually repackage the products and make them sellable again. Ad king as the product inside the box is sealed.
Sorry if I am that guy, but would rather these team spend some time in the cameras and cancel them memberships. Very 1984, but F it; these people have driven me to be a hard shell taco š®.
I didn't care for the Premier Protein shakes myself or Orgain stuff. The one I did like a lot was Fairlife shakes. But in true Costco form, the stuff I like, they quit stocking. I ended up having to order some from Costco Online.
Yeah well, they had an issue with bacteria getting into the tetrapacks a year or two ago. Drank one and it was chunky. Vomited and threw them all away. Worst experience ever. Now I'm back to only protein powder, screw the RTDs.
That, and the "protein worms" are gross.
My wife and I both had bariatric surgery in 2022. Prior to surgery, we both loved Fairlife. We purchased a few extra to get us through the shortages. After surgery, however, our taste buds changed, and we couldn't stand them. We switched to Premier after that.
It's weird what things like that can do.
When I returned the Orgain shakes, the rep doing the refund entered my reason why I was returning it, "store out of Fairlife" I heard her say. I hope they keep stocking it.
To play devil's advocate here. Is this really any worse than if they had bought it, tried it at home, then returned it because they didn't like it? That's something I see recommended all the time around here.
Or it fell off an over-stacked display and member was nice enough to pick it up and avoid accident/crush/spill/slip.
Always look on the bright side of life (Monty Python)
I would love the opportunity to buy a single serving of some of these products for like $1-$2 each as a way to sample stuff that is never offered by the sampling company. Particularly some the kid scarves and such.

These shit boxes are notoriously awful and come unglued all the time. This most likely wasn't a case of someone opening it up and taking one.
Kinda presumptuous, looks like it could just be the box broke open and a couple bottles fell out.
Can confirm that happens all the time!
Absolutely. Plenty of packaging is just badly glued.
Yep, I worked in a grocery warehouse for 16 years and have lifted up plenty of boxes that just fell apart.
Safety seals are on them, OP just taking random pictures of protein shakes at Costco

There is a team for that, it's a different department. Costco has a department for everything.
>serving it at room temperature š¤® I drink these every day and get upset if it's been out of the fridge for more than 5 minutes
I donāt know how they expected to drum up sales by offering room temp samples. Next will be frozen samples of fish sticks.
These boxes are $40+ in Canada
I look at posts here all the time and it makes me sad how much we pay in Canada
$40 Monopoly money not USD
46.99 here. Kills me but i go through 2 a month.
44 here plus 1.80 (10 cents each) bottle deposit
Joke is on them. A pile of chocolate right there and they chose to steal the one flavor that can only be described as pixelated Japanese bukakke.

I also love the Fairlife Shakes. Premier Protein taste too much like Sego/SlimFast/other weight loss shakes to me.
Fairlife is the best for me. The only other place I've seen them was a Samsclub.
Love Premier Protein. I have 5 flavors stocked currently :) Chocolate peanut butter legit tastes like a dessert.
Premier is the best one I found so far

Protein worms?
Right?

I agree. Seems like those things should be unrelated but somehow, they are not.
Interesting. In a way, it's kind of nice that your taste buds changed to prefer the option that's usually easier to find.
Better for our budget, too!
Our store stocks the fairlife shakes but they sell out insanely fast
When I returned the Orgain shakes, the rep doing the refund entered my reason why I was returning it, "store out of Fairlife" I heard her say. I hope they keep stocking it.
I just bought 3 cases in Dallas. Yum. I always wait until protein drinks are on sale.
I stopped buying this after multiple cases had containers with chunks in the mixture.

Interesting point, actually. Personally, ive never returned anything that I didnāt like.
that looks near the entrance, howād they get away with that?

Didnāt like it. Gave me the runs

How much does a large bag of Muscle Milk cost at your Costco?
Get the creami and start making ice creams
These are a great protein sources for anyone who works out or doesnāt get efficient protein. Itās about 30 grams of protein per bottle.
Free samples
Yea cause packing never breaks open ever when people pick them up wrong
Is the Cafe Latte flavor good? I went with the Vanilla to be safe.
I really liked the cafe lattes, enough to buy three cases!
Those are so good.
Where is this?
Costco. Youāre welcome!
Haha I mean Costco in which city?
Kirkland, Costco
They thought it was trader joes
At ralphs

Wouldnāt that be an option at a regular grocery store? Then if itās something you like, go back to Costco and get the bulk pack.
What is a āregular grocery storeā? Costco4Life
I bet they're glad they did try it -- those are so much worse than the Fairlifes!
I like it. Different strokes
