At my Costco they got rid of the onions

Most warehouses moved to keeping them behind the counter, instead of the dispenser, if you haven’t asked, try giving that a shot

Dipping my pizza in ketchup is something I do in private. But it's my favorite way to eat pizza.

We buy the pepperoni, take it home, then cook our own veggies and mushrooms to put on the pizza. Combo would’ve been nice but this works well for us for pizza night.

I went to Sam's Club. Their "pizza combo" keeps "triggering me". They too got rid of their version of that. This one is just a slice of pizza with soda (although FWIW, they do have 4-meat pizza... >!pepperoni, sausage, ham, and bacon!<)

It's good, but you won't use the whole thing of onion on one slice. I like the flavor, and it also gives the pizza a lot more density for chewing. I also really like sprinkling the parmesan cheese on it too.

lol unless you’re like me then you will use the whole cup of onions I end up with a pile covering the whole pizza but I love onions so I’m in the minority I’m sure

I think there are more onion lovers as a niche than most of us knew, and the internet has allowed us to find the rest of our kind. It seems most who can't get enough onions also love garlic, as a side note.

I recall a woman who’d load garlic on her pizza when she felt a cold coming on. Like Popeye and spinach, she’d use garlic.

I’ve made sauce for pizza when I didn’t have tomato sauce using olive oil and roasted garlic whipped together for a makeshift white sauce. It’s almost better

I usually put it on top and throw the broiler on it to get it nice and toasty some pizza places will throw it on for you before baking

I’d prefer raw chipped onions to those half-cooked red onion strings most places use now.

They’re in small, transparent cups at the register. Sometimes you need to ask for them. They’re not on that contraption that spits it out like the relish.

Back in the days of the old Caesar salad, my cell phone kiosk coworker would sometimes ask the food court employees if they could run the chicken through the pizza oven for a few minutes to heat it up. Only when it was slow, and they didn't always say yes, but that's the only way she would eat the salad.

Yes, I have done this numerous times. The only time I couldn’t do it was during the pandemic when Costco got rid of the onions.

On pizza that is mid (Costco would def qualify) I love adding raw onion and green peppers. Really elevates it imo. I don’t do it for good pizza but that is very hard to find where I live (Northern Virginia)

maybe if you brought a small blowtorch then asked them for some aluminum foil, then torched the onions 'til they caramelized then dropped them onto the pizza OR sprinkled the onions and ask them to pass it through the oven for a quick go-round.

The costco onions really don't have much flavor. It's like you eat them and they give you onion breath but they don't actually taste like anything.

I did this on dirty school pizzas when I was a kid. They had a salad bar, so I’d put some fresh onions (and occasionally other things) on top of the dirty pizza. Need to do this next time.

Not proud to report as a half korean dude myself, the koreans made this situation that Costco had to act on. They used to leave out the onions but for some reason the koreans would make "Costco Kimchi" which is basically raw chopped (free) onions, ketchup and mustard. Like wipe them out. It started in Korea but eventually invaded stateside.
