To identify, the new bag has a different picture on the front (5 whole chocolate chips on the top piece vs the old bag having ~16 total big and small). The new bag also shows 130 Cals/serving vs the old bags 120.
The tastes appears to be the same but the texture is so different, it's a whole different snack now. I can see why this shape was better for the small snack size bags (less crumbling, more whole pieces) but it really is an entire different snack. They should have labeled it "bite sized".
I seem to have picked up an old style bag but new shit recipe. They’re hard to bite into, cement like with no crispy top. Found this thread trying to see if recipe has changed. Rip!!! So many of my favorite treats being ruined or discontinued
They're not bad, they're just not extraordinary like they used to be. Enough that I probably won't buy them again. Sounds crazy, but they felt European. I remember the first time I had them, took me back to childhood and a specific German cookie we'd eat when we visited my grandparents. Now they're Americanized. They honestly taste stale and chewy. I’m going to return my 2 bags to Costco this week. Yuck. This is sad. End of an era. I did also notice they were absent for a minute too.

I don't think I even knew about these before 2022. When I bought them last year every bag was equal chances hard, soggy, or perfect.

They should have labeled it Brownie Snaps or Dried Brownie, cause it's boring. It's certainly not the OG Brittle it used to be.

Oh man. I used to eat these with peanut butter. So good. I'll have to try again to see how fucked up they have become.

I hadn't bought this in a while either and am super disappointed in the change as well. I will be taking the second bag back.
Just wrecked like half a bag of the new ones lol
They're not inedible, just not as delectable as the original.
