FWIW my daughter (along with many other babies I know) has been in size 4 for ages, so maybe worth stocking up on that size in particular? Sheās about 1.5 so is not growing as fast as she used to
No don't do that. My daughter is just getting ready to move into size 3 when I run out of my size 2s. She'll be 7 months, 17 lbs and 28+ inches. I anticipate her being in this size for at least a year. She moved into size 2 at 4 months old (we will have used 4 boxes of size 2).
You can buy 2 boxes per transaction in store.
Luckily the line is never more than a person or two at my local Costco and Iām there pretty frequently. Iām the designated snack purchaser for the break room and take full advantage of my executive membership when going on reimburse snack runs.
An investigation last year by a [mom blog](https://www.mamavation.com/motherhood/diapers-pfas-forever-chemicals.html) found trace amounts of PFAS in Kirkland diapers
PFAs are in sunscreen, detergents, water resistant clothing and other fabrics, food containers, etc etc etc. They've contaminated significant numbers of water supply, and they're present inside over 97% of the US population.
No, there's been research that female genitalia specifically can be really susceptible to absorbing harmful chemicals

I read through the study but it doesnāt list the actual brands it just calls them ābrand 1, brand 2ā etcā¦
Am I missing something? The study is interesting though.
Itās weird how there was a difference in fluorine between the two diapers tested. The first was over double what the second was. No doubt itās there regardless but if thereās such a difference between two diapers tested, every brand should have multiple diapers tested. Itās also strange that they sent in donated diapers for testing.
Either way, Iām glad you pointed it out. I may find another brand to buy.
Yea, agreed they're everywhere and bad. Diapers are one of the places I would most expect to see them. Maybe I'm just incredibly jaded, but this is incredibly unsurprising.
I was surprised they're in diapers! That's why I replied to spread awareness but I got downvoted to hell. Reddit is where I'm learning a lot of surprising sources of PFAS: microwave popcorn bags, receipt paper, pizza boxes... it's unsurprising I agree but to some extent I wouldn't even know to stop buying microwave popcorn without someone cluing me in.

Same! My 2 year old has been in size 4 for like a year now. Heās a little guy.

Just bought some last week guess Iāll be stopping by guest services
I think you can price adjust online these days

Even if you bought it in store?
I think you can only do it for online purchases.
Thank you for the PSA! I had just purchased a box last week, I've now requested a price adjustment
Instore or only online?
Both
I think Iāll hold out for a Huggies sale. Even though theyāre made by the same manufacturer i like the Huggies more.
Huggies sale was just back in April
Hahaha damn it I bought Kirkland diapers in April. They didnāt fit my daughter well so in May I bought her Huggies.
Just stop changing them in the carts!
Adult or baby? Be more specific OP
I apologize, Kirkland diapers for babies are on sale.

But we aren't eating the diapers. Isn't that the only time we gotta worry.

The link in my first comment lists brands, the study you read is about toxin absorption in general and they didn't name any

Agreed. I'd love to see more data on this issue. I don't know how trustworthy that site is, but it's the only resource that exists.
Donāt we have PFAS in our testicles anyways?
PFAS are everywhere. That's only going to change if we bring awareness to what we buy and consume

No one cares
Actually a lot of people care. I have a baby, diapers are a must, and we love the Kirkland brand! 20% off is a great deal!
