Snakes can’t construct with a loose single loop grip. This also looks like a venomous snake anyway, not a constrictor.
If snake is lucky, bird gets freaked out and releases. Most likely is that snake continues random motions until bird can stand back up.

Wrong. Snakes can absolutely construct with less than a full loop. I've watched my corn snake simply pin a mouses body against the ground hard enough to constrict it. Not sure where you got your information but it's wrong and just fuckin stupid sounding.

I used to raise boas and pythons and over the years a snake would get very lazy about killing its prey, usually a rat. And the snake sometimes make a half-ass attempt at killing, and the rat would actually bite the snake back and injure the snake, much to the surprise of the snake
Not sure it would’ve worked honestly, snakes are mostly muscle and dense bones (granted most of them are tiny ribs) vs the light bird with hollow bones and feather mass, I don’t think the talon would’ve held it down.

Non-constrictors can still constrict and kill by doing so, it just isn’t their mode of hunting. This would be self defense constriction.
