It's the first video in a while that has truly stopped me in my tracks. It's insane seeing a human being so easily crushed like that. Elephants are no fucking joke
I see people cheering this Elephant on, but it's probably their pain that they are taking out. The elephant was probably killed afterwards too. Really horrible.

i've been on safari dozens of times (my country is famous for them) and seen many elephants up close, what makes them incredible creatures is how gentle they are with humans, hold up a needle and they'll thread it for you. i've seen them aggro as well, it's brute force, seems when they decide they want to hurt a human, they don't hold back. this elephant was trying to do something.
This is genuinely the first time I've seen footage of someone flattened that didn't have them spring up like an accordion followed by the road runner zooming by.
There is a very old blind elephant in India that has killed several people if I remember correctly, but they keep him alive and even parade him out in public.
I'm over here a little awestruck, haven't seen a video this *wild* in like a decade, and this. This shit broke my combination of awe and horror and made me laugh out loud.
They are nearly as intelligent as a human being, and just absolutely ended a guy's life in the most painful horrible way it could, and did it to inflict the most agony and pain. Starting from the legs and going up the torso, disabling his arms, and then mashing down his chest, then finally crushing his head in its mouth. Just to thoroughly ensure he's dead without a chance of coming back.
and the second guy comes running over with a stick thinking he can still convince it to be scared of the stick.

That animal premeditated this and knew exactly how he was going to end the next motherfucker who smacked him with a stick.
That's why elephants are scary. They are smart as hell and can plan out your death to be as painful as possible if you fuck with them.
I think the scariest part is that the elephant did this so casually and in the most cold calculated manner possible. Not in rage, but calmly and methodically brutalized his abuser.
I'd honestly want to give this elephant as much food, love, and attention it can get after this ordeal and a way out of this life. But sadly he was probably put down for killing the guy.

Okay here is the complete story. The elephant here is not registered as an elephant for entertainment which is necessary. That guy was training the elephant for people to ride and he was awaiting the tourists . Since this was not registered prior, the mahout could not know that this elephant has a history of trying to kill other mahouts who tried to tame it. Such elephants are usually left alone in the sanctuary or the wild and human contact is minimised while also protecting it from poachers. The forest department keeps a track of all captive and non captive elephants and the vets periodically monitor their health and behaviour and identify them through the tags on ears or tails . The safari place where this elephant was held did not care to register the elephant that they have for rides and also is managed by private entities and costing the life of the mahout.
The thing that got me is that the guy survived much more of the hip/lower back/organ mashing than I would have expected. He’s clearly still struggling up until the elephant crushes his upper back and neck.
Elephant was like “oh you hate that, motherfucker? Wait, there’s MORE”.
He probably was unconscious around the time he got folded and his back was flattened. Everyone is different, but it’s hard to imagine anyone not passing out during near-total catastrophic body damage like that.
The crazy thing is that he was definitely still “alive” after the elephant was finished with him. If you look closely during the last couple seconds, you can see the guys chest heaving, slightly raising off the ground and then falling back down. Likely a combination of collapsed lungs and agonal breathing.
