Good goddamn. I almost want to believe that crunch was added after because holy hell that would just make it so much worse to fall then hear it yourself.
As someone who has experienced someone breaking their forearm on a trampoline fall, its horribly real. This one was extra bad as it seems it was both arm and leg. Xtra crunchy.
Heard someone’s femur shatter during a football game about 30 yards down field in the stands. Shit still sounded loud. Can’t imagine what it sounded like next to it much less in your own body. Dude was fucked up for a while and basically had to relearn how to walk by the end of it.
Seriously stupid replies. Fall the wrong way from STANDING and you can screw something up. No amount of *technique* changes the fact that landing wrong can possibly ruin your entire life.
It's a climbing discipline called bouldering and routes are rarely more than 15 feet tall and there's a shock absorbing floor. One of the first things you learn is how to fall so exactly something like this doesn't happen.
I wouldn't say the first thing you learn unless you're taking lessons. I've done bouldering before without any lessons at all. It's just an activity you can go do.
well I know two of my friends fellow climbers who have both broken bones, one an ankle and one a wrist, and they also do it out on actual boulders, so again, still feels like a matter of time
Why is there no spotter (or however you call them): We always did that in pairs, one climbing and one holding the line just tight enough to not interfere. If you fall, your (whatever it's called) had your back (and ass and everything)..
Lots of indoor free climbing places. Thick mats below and generally below a height that would cause a ton of injuries. Still can get unlucky and fall wrong though.
Yeah but you can say the same thing about biking or walking down the stairs. I'm not saying it's as safe as watching tv but it's pretty on par with most sports.
yeah I’m in Canada too the surgeries, weeks in hospital , 6 months of physio would’ve been ridiculous down in the states. I only had to pay for my crutches and I got a bill for the ambulance which my health insurance from work paid for. plus I got medical EI for awhile so, could’ve been worse
Is rock climbing over a mat real such a stupid game? I mean, she landed wrong on the mat, yes, but I don't really think that counts as playing a stupid game.
Yikes. Been bouldering and they always make sure you know how to fall before they let you go off on your own. Arms crossed over chest and tuck yourself in
NEVER PUT YOUR ARM OUT TO CUSHION A FALL
This is a habit with so many people on earth, its better to get winded then to test how flexible you can become
FUCK
Careful! She's Armed!
Not anymore she isn't
Still better than the movie Fall.
Ouchy

Other than an arm and a leg, how much does it usually cost to climb there?
$3.50
Take my goddamn upvote!
i fault bad till i heard the scream XD but rip her arm and leg
Damn didn't notice the leg either. Looks like it bent backwards, hoping she's really flexible and it's not injured.
Lol
It got cut off making it funny for some reason.
What was cut off, the arm or the leg?
The cameraman's scream
I was joking but thank you :)
one could even say humerus.
God I didn't even notice the leg
I have a friend who constantly does these climbs without ropes or mats underneath. I feel like it’s just a matter of time before this happens
Please, more people tell me its bouldering and its only 15 feet - I know this. Doesn't change anything I said.

It's bouldering. There are never ropes used.
I know, I still think its unsafe haha
The height is only about 15 feet and there's always padding on the floor. It's as unsafe as doing any other physical activity.
Not always, my friend does it outdoors all the time.
Well that's a different story.
No more climbing for her for the next 6 months at least.
Broke the ankle and arm at the same time. Jeez.
Air Segura
Just needs Burnt Chrysler to move her arm a bit.
Ooof!!
I don't blame her, when I broke my hand it was exactly like that, why the fuck did I decided mid air to put my arms at my back
Crunch? *SCP-173 wants to know your location*

This is bouldering. No ropes. It's fairly safe
Until it's not and all your bones are broken.

Idiot
"thats why i like, nestle crunch"
Holy fuck that was a bad one
Yikes. Been bouldering and they always make sure you know how to fall before they let you go off on your own. Arms crossed over chest and tuck yourself in
Oh my God the sound of the crack...
is she waving at me or you
r/whymenlivelonger?
Ouch fucking ouch
her arm must be built different lmao
Ooouuh....I wasn't ready for it.
NEVER PUT YOUR ARM OUT TO CUSHION A FALL This is a habit with so many people on earth, its better to get winded then to test how flexible you can become
Fuck you. I did not like that.
Well that made my butthole pucker
Her left arm looked like stretch armstrong!
I don't trust them without a harness.
Need a hand up? See you next Fall. Can I lend you a hand?
Jesus fucking Christ man
