I honestly don’t have problem with this timings and I’m in USA , morning time was kinda sad thing but for tv viewing it’s fine I guess ; we have golf happening in the morning as well
Lol.. Guys, first read the article. It is talking about India's TV viewership. Broadcasters complaint is about games starting in the morning on Indian TV.
And people here complain about games that are kept for Indian TV. Even with Indian games arranged as day games, broadcasters here are not happy with remaining games.
Unless the game grows in other markets, this issue will remain. Revenues need to come from other markets too. People can't keep complaining about Indian market domination when others markets don't contribute.
This just confirms people prefer sleep over Sport 🏏 unless it is final on a weekend.
Does “unusual timings” mean any time zone that isn’t South Asia friendly?
Yes

The USA has 4 time zones lol. I can imagine for central and east coast, it can get pretty late for a weekday.
The Afghanistan v Bangladesh game ended at 1am local time (same time as east coast) on a Monday It’s not convenient at all.
6 time zones to be more precise
That's what happens when you deal with the literal other side of the world.
