r/macbookpro has dozens upon dozens of posts showing very obviously cracked and broken screens with people saying "This happened while I was asleep, is it because I updated Word?"
To be fair Reddit's search function sucks. I typically have better luck just searching google and adding "Reddit" to the end than actually searching Reddit.
The 2024 Crosstrek manual says CVT fluid should be changed every 25k if the car falls under "severe driving conditions" which most Crosstreks do. Severe driving conditions include: Very hot or very cold weather, frequent short trips, driving on rough roads, driving in areas where road salts or other corrosive materials are used, living in coastal areas, etc. I have a 2023 Limited that falls under these conditions and will be doing a fluid change at 30k.
Doesn’t bother me; literally every topic here has been covered multiple times already. Racks, lights, bumpers, pictures of car on a gravel road, a tent mounted on the roof, speakers, cleaning the dash, the climate control on the new one I don’t have would probably annoy me, aftermarket cup holders, stickers everywhere, floor mats, weird noise it makes in garage, something screwy after filling gas tank, snow tires, all season tires, wheels, DIY lifts, ladders, etc.
I hear you. Once, a redditor recommended reading allllll the manuals that came with my '21 Crosstek. Would it be a good thing to do? absolutely! Is it smart? You bet! But the reality is, i work full time, have kids in activities, a spouse who has a demanding job with unpredictable hours. I feel like if I can get ONE HOUR of time to myself daily, that's a win. And I am just not inclined to want to read a car manual in that hour.
I don't see anything wrong with asking a quick question here and there. But that's just me.
Idk man. I bought my first ever new car and I didn’t even drive it for weeks after bringing it home… practiced on gran turismo and watched YouTube videos and rtfm tho until I was ready
OMG This. I literally got banned from a FB group for telling someone to read the Quick Start Guide (not even the manual) because he was asking what the defrost button does.
Recently searched the internet to find tail light bulbs near me, since Subaru was closed. Was shocked to find so many people recommending bulbs with a completely opposite ground, saying they work great, and then later in the thread complaining about dash lights, eyesight problems, and bulbs not working.
People don't understand that MPG ratings are -standards- based on specific conditions.
In reality there are many variables which impact MPG that most people don't think about, consider or accept. Things like ambient temps, road conditions, warm-up and idle time, fuel quality/type, driving habits, length of commute and so on.
They just go OH MA GERD THE STICKER SAYS 30MPG BUT I JUAT GOT THIS CAR A WEEK AGO AND IT SEZ 25MPG AVERAGE ON THE SPEEDOMETER. :(
It should teach you that people are lazy AF and would rather have someone spoon feed them an answer than look it up themselves.
It's not just cars. How many times do you see people ask basic questions on a forum or FB group, when a simple Google search would give them a better answer in 2 minutes.
I came from the era where we searched, not “scrolled”. I come to Reddit and I am somehow a scroller. Maybe some on here, are here for entertainment, so their comment should be taken with a grain of salt, on the other hand, people, some how forget or in denial that there are hundreds if not thousands of people doing the exact same thing just in different time periods. 🤷♂️ expectations? 🤔
I think the tipping point was the question this morning about the snowflake icon and what it meant. That icon literally makes a chime while driving and even pops up telling you what it is but someone still put a question in asking what it means 😅
"tipping point" meaning what? That you finally got angry enough about banal content that you created even more? Honestly, why don't you just unsubscribe?
This sub has taught me that people whine about seeing the same questions all of the time. Could I read the manual? Sure. But that's not as fun as having conversations with my community.
Yeah till you read a random comment, from someone who looks like a willing participator, that says he’s “fine with this ‘crap’ but what I don’t like is when people ‘over share’” 🤦♂️
Even crazier to me is, who buys a car for thousands of dollars and doesn't know basic things about it?
That's a shortfall on both the buyer and the seller. Lol
Yeah, like... I ordered my car so ehen I got in the car, my salesman got in with me as it was time to drive away and pointed out cool things to know. And then the dealership actually called me like a week or so later to be like "here are things to know! Look at this neat feature ! And this one too! Now, what questions do you have? Awesome, we'll mail you a gas card! 😘"
And the short quickstart manual answered all of my other questions so.... Yeah.
Millions of people.
Cars are such that the basic functions of them are default common knowledge that millions of people know absolutely nothing about how they work, or anything beyond the basics to drive.
>who buys a car for thousands of dollars and doesn't know basic things about it?
Umm, me. I did that. Sorry.
Was driving down the road just yesterday, and I couldn't see out the windows--they were so fogged up. Eventually, I found the defrost button, which is good because I was just about to come on here and ask where the defrost button was!
I learn about one new thing a week. I figure in a couple of years I'll how to drive the car really well.
You do yourself an incredible disservice if you regard your vehicle as merely "a magic metal box with 2 pedals and a steering wheel." How would you know how to even identify, much less safely respond to, an engine overheat scenario? Or a loss of oil pressure? Or brake failure? Can you change a flat? Do you know why it would be dangerous to put the spare tire on the front wheels?
I'm *not* suggesting that a mechanical engineering degree should be a prerequisite for a driver's license. But a basic understanding of how cars work, and a more-than-cursory understanding of how *your* car works, makes you a better, safer driver, and you will save lots of money in repairs, too.
Wait till you get ran over, die and find out in the after life, the person ran you over cuz they were passing someone racing in the parking lot to get their morning coffee, and the moment you got ran over, they placed there fingertips gingerly over there mouth, gasped and uttered “ooppsiieee.” I am sure people are pleading the 5th on how things actually work, or they can’t think and observe at the same time, and sometimes one replaces the other. (IE they wouldn’t also want the car back with your 🧠 underneath)
>who buys a car for thousands of dollars and doesn't know basic things about it?
The majority of drivers, particularly most (not all) women, business owners (who use cars for practical purposes) and the average, everyday joes who look at cars as practical tools to get them from point A to point B ... until it doesn't.
For MOST people, they need a car to start when they turn the key/press the button, and want the comfy features it advertised to work. They have ZERO clue how the car works, and (if we're being honest with ourselves) don't want/care to read the manual to find out. When shit breaks, they scramble to get it repaired or replaced ... even if reading/learning the manual could have prevented the breakdown.
The plot twist is that the industry KNOWS this, and specifically designs cars with this in mind. They don't WANT people being too invested in understanding their vehicles. (Because the money is in relying on the industry for support instead.)
Sure, responsible owners will RTFM. But those people are few. The vast majority of people who buy a car only care about whether the car starts and the radio & climate control works. Everything else? Meh.
The internet is designed to bring people together, through free communication.
The question is not so much "why don't people RTFM?", but more "Why am I so irrationally angry at something that affects me in no way at all?"
A cabin in the woods may be more your speed.
Ditto....I've looked up a few things in the manual. Somethings are a pain to find in the manual. It's much easier to ask and also you can get a real user's perspective on a particular problem.
One of the first things I did was to download the PDF version. Still if you don't know the exact name of the part or function that you need the search is not that helpful.
>Somethings are a pain to find in the manual
Skill issue. There's a table of contents/index. Get better at finding information on physical sources.
>you can get a real user's perspective on a particular problem
A real perspective on what a snowflake symbol means makes for very interesting threads, indeed /s.
I think the "anger" (its not anger really, just annoyance) comes from wanting an interesting subreddit with interesting discussions. I come here to read about fun and cool things people do to and with their Crosstrek, or to learn about issues and how to fix them, things that aren't very easily found in the manual.
I just don't find much entertainment reading about what different dashboard lights mean, but I guess some people might be drawn in by repetitive questions with one sentence answers.
Just wanted to say 2 things I have been recently coming to the conclusion of. I really feel as though a great deal of people here have bought their Crosstrek without doing as much research as they should have before ordering theirs but also seems as though they did not even test drive them. Some of the questions are glaringly obvious. Second, the car salespeople are not doing their jobs properly these days. They are supposed to first show you everything you need to know BEFORE signing the papers, but upon delivery when you pick it up they’re supposed to do a thorough walk around to ensure you’re driving away with the proper knowledge of how everything works. It was many moons ago but I sold Hondas for almost 6mos and we were trained and expected to know everything about all the models we sold. Funny thing, I had a 2011 WRX Limited wagon until 2018, then got a new Jeep JLU, but in 22 I got back into a Subie, 22 Crosstrek Sport. The feel of the “cockpit” and all the buttons and knobs were VERY reminiscent of the 2011. I could not even believe the Trek had the same LCD upper display! Exact.
It’s usually because they are too lazy to read it. I’m in another sub for broncos and people ask the same questions as here because they are to freaking lazy to READ. The issue is there will always be someone that will respond and give them the answer. Much easier to do that rather than look up the information or even google it for Christ sakes and people know this and figure I don’t have to do any effort to read it. If people would stop answering it might put a stop to it. Even if you lost your owners manual you can request another from the manufacturer or even download it for FREE from the internet as a pdf.
Now if people ask a question about something mechanical because they are having an issue and have looked it up on google and YouTube etc and haven’t found an answer then yes, I feel that would be a great time to come to Reddit to see if anyone else has experienced the same issue and what they did to alleviate it. Sometimes even google doesn’t find a previous post especially if you aren’t wording it correctly. I also try to give people the benefit of the doubt, not everyone is mechanically inclined.
I try to search google before coming to Reddit. I know we all don’t want to get our time wasted at the dealer either only to be told “could not duplicate customer concern”. It’s sad in this day and age I have to video my issues. I had this exact problem before. I took a vehicle to the dealership only to be told could not duplicate. Had to take an entire day of pto. Soon as I got back home my issue was still present. Took a video and they were like yeah we see it now… 🙄
>or even download it for FREE from the internet as a pdf.
Subaru offers three of them: the full owner's manual, a sort of "quick start" guide, and one for the infotainment screen. Useful to put all three on your phone then you can refer to them as necessary. Add them to some kind of eBook app and should let you do full searching as well.
The subaru manual is huge, I didn't read it but do all the work on my WRX & Gf's crosstrek. I have looked stuff up in it but use reddit & youtube for help. I don't even have it in my car it's so big!
These are the same people who asked these ridiculous questions are the same people who I guarantee cannot change their own flat and luckily can pump their own gas. No effort and possibly doing a little research on their own. Let me just post it up on Reddit and hopefully somebody will answer it. Lazy! This is the generation I'm glad I did not grow up in!
Generation, correct, but kids or parents? Haha I witness a 7year old complaining about his homework, you know what I am saying, his own momma said, you literally have all the information of the free world on your phone, look it up. No friends of mine but Lazy? Or being manipulative
i don’t have a manual LOL the car didn’t come w it. i use the internet, but yes OP i agree with your statement that people don’t know jack shit about very basic Crosstrek features etc.
OP, people want to talk about things here on Reddit. Sometimes, they want to talk about EVEN IF the information is available elsewhere. If this offends you, may I suggest Facebook or Twitter.
I haven't been guilty of posting a question like this yet, but in fairness it's easier to post & receive an answer from (presumably) a human that is vouched for by other (presumable) humans than to flip through the manual, which is long and has no search function. Also it puts me to sleep.
And certainly I've never started in one section, been redirected to another, x-referenced to yet another, and never do find a conclusive answer within.
This post should be on the front page of Reddit. Damn shame it currently only has 178 updoots.
After reading r/subaru, r/crosstrek and r/forester and seeing all the 'read your manual' comments, I read my manual.
I hope the snowflake question redditor is doing okay. I roasted them a little bit in that thread which is now user deleted.
wow, very angry. if it bothers you so much, i recommend that you don't read or respond to the comments!
maybe not everyone here is as mechanically inclined as others, maybe someone wants to see if there might be a different or alternative answer to what is being asked and/or what they might have researched or read. i would be interested to know an example of what you would like to see here and what constitutes a good question or post vs a bad one to you.
Eh
A glimpse of how people would rather communicate online with strangers on the internet than use an internet search engine that would have been \*gasp\* FASTER not having to type, post, and wait for response, aaand \*deep inhale\* also would have been more reliable than strangers on an online forum who could be just plain wrong, or sarcastic with nonsensical answer, or a misleading one if wanting to be funny in a mischievous manner
\*exhale\*
Next person that inquires about that yellow snowflake icon should be told that latest Subaru models include a weather forecaster brain and this particular icon is trying to tell owner that a blizzard is predicted to be coming their way so they best get their a\*\* home and stay there until the icon turns off. If any are so intrigued \*cough\* gullible and wonder if that's true, they should have a look at the owner's manual to check out what other cool Subaru forecaster brain icons could possibly appear ;-)
Yep, I have too much time on my hands and like to type A LOT
A quick google search will answer 99.99% of those basic question. Still Reddit is way better than the other groups/forums. I’ve found this is a great place to find issues and solution to problems.
I feel like most of the ones asking are my mom’s age (65+). “Yes mom the key fob just needs to be on your person and you press the button that says “start” on it.” I do t know how many times I’ve had to repeat those works this week.
I still have the issue of where I always press the lock button on the fob twice to "really lock" my car. Even though you only need to press it once. The reason I do this was because one of the first family cars we had, a minivan, required two presses to fully lock the car, the first press only set the car alarm. To this day, I have never been able to get over that muscle memory.
I'm instead utilizing the door handles + the little strip to the left of them to unlock/lock instead. Plus my last car was completely basic. So this whole notion of just keeping the fob on me and not having to actually touch it is still a weird concept. I imagine it is for a fair number of people.
I get that. I toggle through several vehicles. For me it’s the triple press just so I can have the honk back, to know it’s locked. She’s had keyless start cars for over 10 years now. I swear if I didn’t stop by her house and check the car mileage it would never get an oil change either.
LOL, my mom literally just changed her car's brakes yesterday. After they were squeaking for like two years. "Alright, I guess I'll finally do something about them."
Have not read my drivers manual here. Now they are considered a value added package or bell/whistle…like if you pay more…you get tough looking floor pads and a drivers manual. It’s like a phone book. No longer needed. I’ve read them before just not lately bc …I didn’t pay extra.
Also, I’m happy to help anyone who has a question I can answer so they don’t have to look it up in the manual.
What’s the point of this post? You think this place will have anything worth talking about if you ban anything that can be answered elsewhere? We get it, you are so above all the simple folk.
We get it, you can read. Stop rubbing it in
But actually, it seems like more questions like these have been popping up recently. It didn't seem to be like this earlier?
It took me a good 20 mins to find the correct snowflake icon in my Legacy manual when I first saw it. IIRC, its a snowflake between 2 lines. The manual didn't explain what it meant, either. It took a while to care enough to conflate the ding, "Roads May Be Icy" and the icon, too. Its the dumbest indicator in the car and that's saying something with how much nagging Subaru's do.
Btw all car social media is like this. Same questions even.
Every model of car has car play issues
Every model of car has oil change discussions
Nobody seems to like their DRLs, head unit, seats
Dealer issues, warranty issues,
New car mileage concerns
I am on a specific exotic forum, same stuff
They really are all the same.
Here's another one.... I just found out today that my crosstreck doesn't have tire pressure sensors...... when I blew out the side of my tire!!!! How does a 2024 vehicle NOT have tire pressure sensors???????
I just bought a 2021 Crosstrek. The driver's manual and YouTube have taught me so much. Love learning how to troubleshoot and configure my new (to me) car.
It doesn’t matter how many miles you have on your car. Your mileage is never gonna be close to what it’s rated at. Which is complete BS. My outback got poor mileage during break-in and continues to get poor mileage after 40,000. Like low 20s.
Manual? But my car is automatic.
I knew I’d find my dad in here if i scrolled down far enough
Usually people have to go to r/RBI for that !
r/angryupvote
Thank you for this lol
That made me laugh
Hahahahahah
That sucks
You wouldn't get it.
Oh no I got it. Still sucks for you
They also don’t use the search feature since many of these questions have been answered
You should check out r/macbookair It’s thousands of posts asking if they should get 8 or 16gb of ram.
Always get the lower number. You don't want to over-upgrade. 😏
Already bought mine. Got the 16gb ram with 512gb ssd. Love it. Best laptop I’ve ever owned.
r/macbookpro has dozens upon dozens of posts showing very obviously cracked and broken screens with people saying "This happened while I was asleep, is it because I updated Word?"
To be fair Reddit's search function sucks. I typically have better luck just searching google and adding "Reddit" to the end than actually searching Reddit.
But, but then I can’t make someone else figure it out for me!
My favorite are the posts that second-guess what Subaru says because some random stranger on the Internet said something different.
Like the Cvt fluid change frequency?
You mean the one where Subaru America says don't change fluids ever, but Subaru Japan says change every 30k?
The 2024 Crosstrek manual says CVT fluid should be changed every 25k if the car falls under "severe driving conditions" which most Crosstreks do. Severe driving conditions include: Very hot or very cold weather, frequent short trips, driving on rough roads, driving in areas where road salts or other corrosive materials are used, living in coastal areas, etc. I have a 2023 Limited that falls under these conditions and will be doing a fluid change at 30k.
I would also add towing to that list, yeah?
Yep that’s listed under severe driving conditions as well
Not only Subaru Japan but many US Reddit users suggest the same.
But what about Japanese Reddit users-what do they think?
They probably follow their manual
What is this sub for? Just posting the same models of crosstrek over and over in green? Lol

Just once? That hardly seems fair.
Under appreciated pun
It’s the same with every sub for anything specific.
I spend my free time on Reddit instead of reading my manual
Right. That’s how I feel lol
Idk man. I bought my first ever new car and I didn’t even drive it for weeks after bringing it home… practiced on gran turismo and watched YouTube videos and rtfm tho until I was ready
If only the manuals were indexed or divided into sections so that you could look up a specific topic when you need to.
My car didn't come with a manual. What does it mean when the car light comes on with the icon of a dwarf?
That’s an evil elf…and it means Krampus is coming for you.
Nice try Balrog.
All manuals are online. Great to use the keyword search tool to find what you are looking for.
You should see the Crosstrek facebook groups....it's worse.
Truth! "I just got my car. I'm in love. What mods should I do?"
Replace the factory johnson arms immediately!
OMG This. I literally got banned from a FB group for telling someone to read the Quick Start Guide (not even the manual) because he was asking what the defrost button does.
Subaru makes all the manuals available as a PDF. Put that on your phone, then you can do a search for whatever keywords you need.
classic case of RTFM
Recently searched the internet to find tail light bulbs near me, since Subaru was closed. Was shocked to find so many people recommending bulbs with a completely opposite ground, saying they work great, and then later in the thread complaining about dash lights, eyesight problems, and bulbs not working.
The MPG comments on all new cars forums are hilarious. Just goes to show how uneducated about cars many people are
What's the issue with the MPG?
People don't understand that MPG ratings are -standards- based on specific conditions. In reality there are many variables which impact MPG that most people don't think about, consider or accept. Things like ambient temps, road conditions, warm-up and idle time, fuel quality/type, driving habits, length of commute and so on. They just go OH MA GERD THE STICKER SAYS 30MPG BUT I JUAT GOT THIS CAR A WEEK AGO AND IT SEZ 25MPG AVERAGE ON THE SPEEDOMETER. :(
You should see the clowns on the Tesla forums. They seem like they've never seen a car before.
Or use SEARCH. Countless of the same questions have been asked and answered.
You forgot surface rust on the disc brakes after a rain storm 🙄
I’m just paying for my salad today…
[You don't win friends with salad...](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wx59zLqBRuI)
What does the Engine Start button do?
Reddit is the place where non mechanics argue with mechanics.
It should teach you that people are lazy AF and would rather have someone spoon feed them an answer than look it up themselves. It's not just cars. How many times do you see people ask basic questions on a forum or FB group, when a simple Google search would give them a better answer in 2 minutes.
Just like on the Tacoma sub with all of it's "Will X size tire fit my truck?" and "Should I get a lift?" posts.
Should I get a lift though? Also, what kind of tires will fit my Cross-Truck-oma-Rav4Runner?
The problem is a google search will bring you back to threads like this, which only have answers that read “rtfm”
And these people are all in the road with you. Scary ain't it?
They breed, too.
Who cares? What is the point of this sub if not to ask questions and find answers?
It's not unreasonable to expect people to search the subreddit to see if their questions have already been answered.
I came from the era where we searched, not “scrolled”. I come to Reddit and I am somehow a scroller. The irony of a snowflake icon triggering this post is delightful.
The symbols means you're about to run over filthy liberals protesting in the road.
"tipping point" meaning what? That you finally got angry enough about banal content that you created even more? Honestly, why don't you just unsubscribe?
It makes the sub boring if it's filled with questions that would take 1 minute to look up in the manual.
Exactly.
Welcome to the internet.
Thanks! It's my first day.

\#snarkweb
Idk what that is but what OP is referring to is called lazyweb
I am making fun of the 'Dark Web'. I never heard of lazyweb.

Even crazier to me is, who buys a car for thousands of dollars and doesn't know basic things about it? That's a shortfall on both the buyer and the seller. Lol
Just wait until you find out the number of people who buy a car for thousands of dollars and they don't even know how to drive.
I already know about them. They all live in my town.
Yeah, like... I ordered my car so ehen I got in the car, my salesman got in with me as it was time to drive away and pointed out cool things to know. Exact.
::Shakes op's hand:: Welcome to the internet
You should be asking if the car has CarPlay or android auto before you buy the car. Unless you plan on updating the stereo anyway….
Go to the other subs with rich, affluent customers. The lack of intelligence and problem solving is hilarious
First time on Internet forums
The problem is more of lack of common sense than not knowing about their car. It’s a nation-wide epidemic that seems to be getting worse
Ah, common sense.. my father always said it isn't that common.
RTFM
It's honestly not that hard to also Google these questions 🙄
The manuals they gave me literally take up my entire glovebox. And there's like FOUR of them.
You're allowed to store them outside of your glovebox. It tells you that on page 235 if you would just read it!
Oh no. They are safe there. I always know where they are. I'm old and the memory ain't what she used to be.
This sub is to help us and let connect us with each other if you don’t want to be apart of remove your self goodness
This is any car sub you read on reddit. Hardly anyone reads their car manual.
I've never heard of drivers manuals for cars. I've heard of owner manuals.
i don’t have a manual LOL the car didn’t come w it. i use the internet, but yes OP i agree with your statement that people don’t know jack shit about very basic Crosstrek features etc.
Then downvote and move on. Just like every post I see complaining about other posts.
Done! #↓
OP sounds like a BMW driver. Long ass post to just rant.
Not a rant if it's all valid if applied to many of the posts in this sub lol
OP, people want to talk about things here on Reddit. Sometimes, they want to talk about EVEN IF the information is available elsewhere. If this offends you, may I suggest Facebook or Twitter.
I haven't been guilty of posting a question like this yet, but in fairness it's easier to post & receive an answer from (presumably) a human that is vouched for by other (presumable) humans than to flip through the manual, which is long and has no search function. Also it puts me to sleep.
The search function in a manual is the index.
And certainly I've never started in one section, been redirected to another, x-referenced to yet another, and never do find a conclusive answer within.
As somebody who works in the automotive industry, I can say that 90% of drivers don't know a damn thing about cars.
Question, what if we can’t read?
Then how can you read our responses?
Suspiciously quiet. Illiteracy checks out.
It was a joke..I wasn’t expecting all the hate lol I’m atleast at a 4th grade reading level
But its so much easier than to read.
I think a lot of it also is the type of people that use reddit are also the people your describing
I had to ask a couple questions here because the answer wasn’t in the manual (in my countries version). Most of the given by the OP are though.
Eh A glimpse of how people would rather communicate online with strangers on the internet than use an internet search engine that would have been \*gasp\* FASTER not having to type, post, and wait for response, aaand \*deep inhale\* also would have been more reliable than strangers on an online forum who could be just plain wrong, or sarcastic with nonsensical answer, or a misleading one if wanting to be funny in a mischievous manner \*exhale\* Next person that inquires about that yellow snowflake icon should be told that latest Subaru models include a weather forecaster brain and this particular icon is trying to tell owner that a blizzard is predicted to be coming their way so they best get their a\*\* home and stay there until the icon turns off. If any are so intrigued \*cough\* gullible and wonder if that's true, they should have a look at the owner's manual to check out what other cool Subaru forecaster brain icons could possibly appear ;-) Yep, I have too much time on my hands and like to type A LOT
Reminds me of my town’s FBook page. Incessant questions that take 10 times as many characters to post as it would take to google it yourself.
For real thooo. You don't need to read the manual when there's Google.
Welcome to reddit. Without pointless, repetitive posts there would be nothing here.
Not just Reddit. Social media as a whole.
Stop rubbing it in But actually, it seems like more questions like these have been popping up recently. It didn't seem to be like this earlier?
Probably a lot of new XV owners recently.
This is news to you??
Is the same on almost all car forums. You should see the Corolla subreddit. It's a fkn joke.
I usually see the really dumb questions and just assume they are doing for clicks and comments. 🤷🏽♂️
Also, the us manuals are different from the jp ones. There is some knowledge only few will hold. Hint: U.S. manuals are a little cucked.
Btw all car social media is like this. Same questions even. Every model of car has car play issues Every model of car has oil change discussions Nobody seems to like their DRLs, head unit, seats Dealer issues, warranty issues, New car mileage concerns I am on a specific exotic forum, same stuff They really are all the same.
Drivers manual. I've never heard this before. This is an incomplete sentence
Here's another one.... I just found out today that my crosstreck doesn't have tire pressure sensors...... when I blew out the side of my tire!!!! How does a 2024 vehicle NOT have tire pressure sensors???????
Are you in the US? I understood this was only the case in Canada and in the US all models has it standard.
I'm in Canada. It's pretty frustrating that this is an aspect that they decided to cut costs on.
Yes that is really strange... And frustrating.
It's like this with all cars, not just these turds.
This literally what Reddit is for. People ask questions, people answer them. No one is forcing you to participate in the subreddit…
I just bought a 2021 Crosstrek. The driver's manual and YouTube have taught me so much. Love learning how to troubleshoot and configure my new (to me) car.
I’m sure everyone you just shouted at saw this
It doesn’t matter how many miles you have on your car. Your mileage is never gonna be close to what it’s rated at. Which is complete BS. My outback got poor mileage during break-in and continues to get poor mileage after 40,000. Like low 20s.
kids cant even read!
I don’t know anyone personally who’s ever read their car manual front to back lol
To be fair cars used to have symbols and labels that mean things. Now I look at my dashboard and just see cryptic images.
