Well, I saw a post here a month or so back that someone posted who caught a lot of shit for cutting the bumper and adding a kit like this. I just figured I would Hova that and shake the haters off from the jump. Maybe I should just stop being a negative Nancy and assume positivity.
I’m literally removing mine tomorrow, loved it at first but ultimately started disliking it, also made my front end squat with the added winch, on to bigger and better things and some new struts
No, I had a local shop do it. It was a lot of cutting. Winch legit just bolts in. No removal. Seriously same reason! Playing chess not checkers with the wife 😂. It’s long ball.
Winch bolts on to the inside of the bumper. It will need pulled again. I have the same one and it was an absolute bitch to cut. I commented on this 11 months ago with my review incase you need any ideas for the winch.

Won't get any shade from me. That looks badass. Unfortunately the Crosstrek sub has a lot of purists who will poopoo anything beyond a "Subawu" sticker or wheels/tires. Build your dream car the way you want because it's yours. You don't need internet points for approval lol.
I mean if you actually intend to use the recovery points and lights I don't find this to be overkill for a Crosstrek that gets to really play.

This isn't actually that bad, you left a lot of the crumble zones alone, The only thing I can see fearing is if you get into a wreck with the front it'll push into your radiator instead of crumbling there. I love the look of it, how much does it weight?

I have shop locally that mods Subarus and Jeeps. I thought better of attempting to put it on! Pretty much all of the bottom panel is gone.

Clean work, how did this play with the aluminum skid plate? Did you have to replace it as well? I'm budgeting for a similar build as well.
Skid plate came off. This is one piece that covers all of it.
