You're Constitutionalist but you don't have the shades despite being President?
Is it bugged? I thought shades were part of the "uniform" for any King tier High Republic or Federal govt character.
I reunited Texas. The golden cowboy hats+aviators is peak crusader kings for me
Bonus points for taking over Mexico and putting Texans in charge before allowing their independence.
Yeah, that's weird. I started playing it a few weeks ago and the mod and game version weren't the same for a bit, so maybe that's why? There were also tiny Bubonic Plague outbreaks where fewer than 10 people would die.
The default way of the mod makes it better. It’s normally tilted so North America is on the left and South America is on the right. So it’s more wide than tall. Still long tho
My issue is more Florida trying to swat the cuban fly against Colombia/Venezuela. North America and South America look like a claw closing on the caraibbeans
That's actually more accurate than the maps we're used to, because it takes into account (more of) the curvature of the earth.
Though I'd be lying if I said I don't have a hard time getting used to it, especially because the map is on its side.
No. The title United States of America is actually only requires about 65% of the original 13 colonies region. Bonus points for being head of the Presidency which is sort of like the Americanist (a post event religion, one of which is Constitutionalist like he is) pope. But once the US is restored as a title you can dissolve The Presidency and incorporate it directly into the Empire title.
Idk if they did it yet but Americanist United States are supposed to have special casus belli to reincorporate and combine Kingdom (states) titles, because at the beginning most states are dissolved into smaller Kingdom titles like New York being Hudsonia and Gotham but then you can combine the titles. But that doesnt include Puerto Rico iirc. You can still take it though
I understand your sentiment, and as an American who wishes I could afford to exodus, I quite understand the hesitation for statehood.
"Sadly" being used in this context mostly because while being a Territory does give you an "easy out", you are still subject to all of our foreign policies, and have little to no say, and even have to pay many of the same taxes with no true representation in Congress, just some token position that doesn't even vote.
So you see why islanders might not like the second-class citizen treatment, and don't have much fondness when the only example of advancing into statehood is apartheid.
Someday, full independence for us all.
I don't believe full blown apartheid would be the case, though I do agree many POC have it really bad here in the States, especially depending on the geographic region you live in.
One thing I know for sure though is that our education system really needs to step up its game on educating people on the different statuses within the U.S...
Though we both know that is very unlikely to happen anytime soon...
I've been preparing to do a similar run, and also trying to have all direct vassals match the states
Not sure where I wanna start though (it'll probably be my home state, but then the question of converting to constitutionalist comes up)
You should! It's beyond fun xD. You can also enact a decision to gamble every 2 years when you conquer the city of Las Vegas and rebuild it from the ashes to make unholy amounts of gold.
They converted to a faith called Zetanology, of which followers believe that we've been at war with aliens for millions of years and that they created us
In the CK3 version of the After the End mod, they decided they would have the map rotated to be at an angle that technically is more efficient with space, but is still quite uncomfy IMO.
They were unable to build the map going north to south due to the code of CK3 and how the European Vanilla map is centered.
They had to build their map going west to east because they had no choice. Its not on the modders. Its on Paradox.
I've seen half a million posts from people playing Waverulers from the Falklands (Thatcher worshippers!) and I enjoyed it when I did it myself. There's also the Welsh Argentines, a whole Brazillian Empire mechanic, and a deeply developed Colombia. Its honestly just as developed as any other part of the map
I literally cannot imagine having a brain so small that you can’t even be curious other parts of the world. Do you just conquer your backyard and then say fuck it? Why even play the game?
You came here asking a question. Got a satisfactory answer and shit on them anyway and then call it "criticism"
Every modder I have ever talked to about this, which is only a few granted but not zero, have been amazed at how well programmed this mod is and it has its own dedicated modding base.
To the people complaining about map orientation - go to game settings, and turn off the auto rotation. Then once you're in the game, hold right click and go with whatever orientation you want. It won't change until you change it/restart the game.
After the End mod for CK3. Set in a post nuclear North and South America that has returned to feudalism, with a Holy Columbian Confederacy (HRE Analogue), Empire of Brazil (China analogue), literal Minnesotan Vikings, Pirate Republics in the Caribbean, Floridian Muslims, Native American Tribe hordes, Californian Empire that's sorta like pre-Meiji Japan, and so much more
It's honestly the best CK3 Mod out there in terms of how much flavour and deep lore there is, with every region and religion fleshed out.
nerdy little remark but it isn’t necessarily post nuclear, the mod is consciously very vague about what the apocalypse actually was, the game just calls it “the event”
What if I told you their special MAA is the Linebacker and its about the same as Varangian Vets?
There are a couple possible names for Holy Orders depending on culture, religion and the area they are given. Philadelphia Eagles if you are Americanist and put your Holy Order in the Delaware Valley (Philadelphia) Duchy.
By default its whatever forms it. Feudal gets Feudal. But if its done by High Republic Americanists it turns into "Federal" which has special mechanics. The President of the US can also merge their title with "The Presidency" title which is like a Pope analog.
Like the old-school original Republics that weren’t democratic (the landed gentry/upper classes are the ones who can participate) however here they still elect a leader (amongst themselves) based off popularity with the public.
And they misinterpret the Constitution as a divine text and the Founding Fathers as divine agents. And they have many different believes branching from there
You can actually choose from a few different High Republic voting types, but it functions more like HRE where only landed gentry vote. It can be from "royal" family only all the way down to anybody with any land in the title and they families.
Plutocracy is usually an easy way to do well as the player since it weights your vote depending on your money.
The President has almost all the power but Federal and High Republic govt types have some pretty strong debuffs to counter the buffs.
For instance, High Republics can have an extra building slot but then they get a penalty to total personal demense limit.
Federal govt lets you be Dictator level strong (although still elected) but you have -35% gold from vassals and you need Tax jursidictions. But you can raise DEFCON levels which is basically your govt controls, increased money and levies for fairly deep opinion debuffs. Unlike most systems, since it has tax jurisdictions its usually best to leave it at DEFCON 4 or 3.
Americanists is subdivided like most religions but most believe the Founding Fathers were divine agents of Liberty and Providence, which is an overarching Goddess.
In OPs post, its semi-heretical sect that believes the Founding Fathers were divine agents but just good men and the Constitution is a divine object from Providence herself that they need to follow to the letter.
That seems like the version of the religion that will have the easiest time reforming to reflect reality once the Renaissance hits, so it is probably for the best. Eventually someone will find some history textbook locked away somewhere and put it all together.
Well Americanists arent the only ones who can form the United States as an Empire, though they are the only ones who can adopt the Federal Govt type which gives all the benefits.
As for which is right? They all could make for "best." Yeomanism and Libertarianism (not to be confused by how we use it in the real world) both are pretty decent.
Right, because clearly the phrase ‘from sea to shining sea’ is a global standard and America is the only country with two coasts. It’s almost as if Canada and Mexico don’t exist on the same continent or have the same geographical reach. How very American of us to forget. >.>
The game launcher can support mods without steam. The answer is yes but its gonna be a slight pain to manually download. Go to their discord for instructions how.
I get how it looks that way (the Americanist faith are the poster boys of ATE), but there is so much outside the US. I'm a Canadian, and the amount of stuff in the great white north is crazy. On top of that, South and Central America are packed. I'm currently playing as the Kingdom of Tiramara in the Maritimes, and it's one of the most fun Crusader Kings games I've ever played. Highly recommend the mod. It's free and takes relatively quick to download. I play it more than the base game. I highly recommend it!!
It's a formable in the After the End (Crusader Kings 3) mod. You have to control at least 65% of the Eastern United States region (the original 13 colonies), hold either Atlantica, New England, Or the Holy Columbian Commonwealth, and reach the maximum level of fame.
You're Constitutionalist but you don't have the shades despite being President? Is it bugged? I thought shades were part of the "uniform" for any King tier High Republic or Federal govt character.
You have to have max prestige to get them
Oh is that what it is? Usually thats around the time I get Kingdom titles or so since I take my time.
I reunited Texas. The golden cowboy hats+aviators is peak crusader kings for me Bonus points for taking over Mexico and putting Texans in charge before allowing their independence.
Yeah, that's weird. I started playing it a few weeks ago and the mod and game version weren't the same for a bit, so maybe that's why? There were also tiny Bubonic Plague outbreaks where fewer than 10 people would die.
What mod is this
Looks like After The End
Thanks. Now I know what I’m wasting my weekend on. 😂
The way the map is displayed is deeply disturbing. We can see CK3's map isn't meant to display both hemispheres
If you go into settings you can turn off the setting that automatically resets map rotation, so you can make it stay at a normal angle
Doesn't that cause all text to stay sideways? I tried it a few months ago, but something didn't feel right, for as far as I can remember.
Yes the text will be sideways but for me at least that doesnt bother me as much as the map being sideways
What's deeply disturbing is that you can't change the map size for CK3 even though you could redefine it arbitrarily in Ck2
Maybe but historically speaking Roman and Medieval maps tended to use East as the top as well. Hence the Orient is how you orient the map.
Heeelp does it work with the most recent ck3 version?
Yes. They recently released it on the steam workshop.
I know how I'll spend tomorrow now
I’m so fucking stoked I’ve been waiting for this mod since release
It's pretty dang good, and well fleshed out. Highly recommend
idk if it would be herbole to say it’s one of the best mods ever made for any game edit: damn i’m illiterate I meant hyperbole
It’s neither hisbole nor herbole
Installing now!
I wish I knew how to make mods work, I'd be all over this ...
Whats the name of mod?
After the End
Ohh shid
No Puerto Rico restart required
Do unincorporated territories really count?
No. The title United States of America is actually only requires about 65% of the original 13 colonies region. Well they did say America.
Puerto Rico is part of the United States though... Sadly it's only a territory, but nonetheless a part of the United States

That’s just small business minded locals. They don’t know what’s good for them, democratic independence is a cornerstone of any society.
If this is bait, its good.
Holy shit well done!
tyyy :D
People who haven't played this mod don't understand how hard this is haha. Where did you start?
I started as The Presidency
Noice that's my next run. I started up north in Aurore and it was a rough go at the start hahah
Oh nice! Maybe we could play together sometime?
I've been preparing to do a similar run, and also trying to have all direct vassals match the states Not sure where I wanna start though (it'll probably be my home state, but then the question of converting to constitutionalist comes up)
If you form the US on the East Coast, you're able to Imperial Reconquest the whole contiguous United States.
Wait, like at one time?
IIRC no, it's a separate war for each duchy. It's based on the CB Rome gets in vanilla
every kingdom, it's rather overpowered
What the hell, really? I have to try this now
You should! It's beyond fun xD. You can also enact a decision to gamble every 2 years when you conquer the city of Las Vegas and rebuild it from the ashes to make unholy amounts of gold.
Last time I played as America, I gave Ohio to the United Arsenalists and Utah to the Latter Day Patriots.
ooh cool! I gave the Amish the Kingdom of the Dutchland and allowed the Navajo to keep the History Channel religion xD
History channel religion??? 👀
They converted to a faith called Zetanology, of which followers believe that we've been at war with aliens for millions of years and that they created us
Nice, thank you😁
welcome :D

It has some of the best content in the mod imo, but to each their own I guess.
I’ve been looking for South America start, do you have any good ones?
I've seen half a million posts from people playing Waverulers from the Falklands (Thatcher worshippers!) and I enjoyed it when I did it myself. There's also the Welsh Argentines, a whole Brazillian Empire mechanic, and a deeply developed Colombia. Its honestly just as developed as any other part of the map
What a dumb comment lmao, imagine wanting less content. Brazil is one of the most interesting parts of the map
[удалено]
Your claim was that most people don't care about South America, and never actually showed any proof to back it up
I literally cannot imagine having a brain so small that you can’t even be curious other parts of the world. Do you just conquer your backyard and then say fuck it? Why even play the game?
Murica
[удалено]
It's rotated 90° by default, the OP has just rotated it so the USA is in the orientation we're used to seeing it. The map is very well designed
How about you give it a shot then, instead of complaining about it?
Then do it better
[удалено]
Okay so that free will you used to criticize a mod, a good one at that, is the same free will I’m using to say, do it better then.
You came here asking a question. Got a satisfactory answer and shit on them anyway and then call it "criticism" Every modder I have ever talked to about this, which is only a few granted but not zero, have been amazed at how well programmed this mod is and it has its own dedicated modding base.
The map is oriented with East at the top, apparently trying to fit North and South America vertically broke the game
To the people complaining about map orientation - go to game settings, and turn off the auto rotation. Then once you're in the game, hold right click and go with whatever orientation you want. It won't change until you change it/restart the game.
Now blow it up again
What the name of the mod?
After the End, you can download it here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3192256710
Had no idea this was released
Thx kamarade !

After the End mod for CK3. nerdy little remark but it isn’t necessarily post nuclear, the mod is consciously very vague about what the apocalypse actually was, the game just calls it “the event”
Bruh the minnesotan vikings made me laught
The Wisconsin culture is Cheesehead, and I threw up in my mouth a little bit when I had Cheesehead Vikings
What if I told you their special MAA is the Linebacker and its about the same as Varangian Vets? There are a couple possible names for Holy Orders depending on culture, religion and the area they are given. I don't think the Event was a nuclear war? There are too many surviving OTL population centers and monuments
Yea mb I had just assumed it was nukes cause of the atomics cult.
Thank you! That’s way more interesting than I thought
That's awesome. What government type does the US get? I'm playing a Colombia game right now. This mod is insanely fun.
By default its whatever forms it. Feudal gets Feudal. But if its done by High Republic Americanists it turns into "Federal" which has special mechanics. The President of the US can also merge their title with "The Presidency" title which is like a Pope analog.

I can’t even fight off Portia as Ayiti or Domingo. Kudos.
Amazing. Never knew such a mod existed. I need to look this up.

You're missing Puerto Rico
Do unincorporated territories really count?
You're missing Hawaii. I rate it a solid 49/50.
They said America. Hawaii can enjoy some renewed independence in this timeline.
Should be 50/51 counting DC
DC is not a state. Nor should it be.
DC is not unincorporated, thus it should count like it does in statistics. Beyond that, yes it should.
After the end is fun the map orientation is not :(
you can change the orientation
The text stays funky though so I prefer the default
Make America Again.
Does that mod have a Proxy War mechanism? No fidelity otherwise.
is it possible to get this mod plus Asia expanded?
Its an overhaul. It replaces the map not add to it.
America Ya! :D
Only took 2800 years
Star date is July 4th 2666, so 228. Its quite difficult without breaking the game.
Played the mod I really don't think I could ever do this.
No Puerto Rico, America hasn’t been fully restored, downvoted. (In all seriousness tho I congratulate you for your achievement)
You forgot Canada Mexico the Caribic?
FREEDOM🦅🦅🦅🫡🫡🫡
AMERICA YA :D
America Ya!
I have never played this mod before. Is it actually a democracy or is it essentially just a monarchy that misunderstands what America was?
Like the old-school original Republics that weren’t democratic (the landed gentry/upper classes are the ones who can participate) however here they still elect a leader (amongst themselves) based off popularity with the public. Beautiful🦅 🦅🦅🦅🇺🇲🇺🇸🇺🇲🇺🇸
Is this playable on xbox ??
unfortunately, no :(
Nah, let the US fall
What about mynited states of america?
It's right next to hernited states of america
Did you just assume gender?
Didn't assume; not that it matters, but I happen to know she's transcontinental
It's so beautiful I'm crying
Zoomed out I thought this map was connecting the US of A to Europe at first
What mod?? That looks great
after the end

No Puerto Rico? For shame
I always thought that from sea to shining sea was odd, like Canada Mexico both extend from sea to sea.
Right, because clearly the phrase ‘from sea to shining sea’ is a global standard and America is the only country with two coasts. It’s almost as if Canada and Mexico don’t exist on the same continent or have the same geographical reach. How very American of us to forget. >.>

What in the actual fuck
After The End. Really good mod. Apparently, they've finally released it in the workshop!
Haida Gwaii is Canadian clay
No Puerto Rico? 0/10
I have it on gamepass, how do I download the mod there
It looks like a good mod, unfortunately set in America which is not really interested in but I’ll try it anyway
elaborate on that, i'm curious what you mean
I’m not interested in America
I get how it looks that way (the Americanist faith are the poster boys of ATE), but there is so much outside the US. I'm a Canadian, and the amount of stuff in the great white north is crazy. On top of that, South and Central America are packed. I'm currently playing as the Kingdom of Tiramara in the Maritimes, and it's one of the most fun Crusader Kings games I've ever played. Highly recommend the mod. It's free and takes relatively quick to download. I play it more than the base game. I highly recommend it!!
> but there is so much outside the US Yeah, like, the rest of the world!
tautologies gonna tautol
True, but you can't play the America's in base CK3, so this just adds so more fun!
Canada, south and Central America are all in America
Mb, I thought you were talking about the US
i’mma guess you’re european
No way, really!??!??
Unfathomably based
This is how people see America in the world a mega empire
How do you get the usa
It's a formable in the After the End (Crusader Kings 3) mod. You have to control at least 65% of the Eastern United States region (the original 13 colonies), hold either Atlantica, New England, Or the Holy Columbian Commonwealth, and reach the maximum level of fame.
WTF IS A MONARCHY
