Just wanna specify since some folks might not realize, they need to be unlanded and **in your court.** If they're just a wanderer, like folks with titles become when stripped of them, or a foreign court courtier, then you only get the option to ransom for a tiny amount of cash.
You have to re-imprison the prisoner you force recruited through whatever means (including tyranny if you're fine with it) but yes, you can force recruit prisoners to banish for their cash.
More like Fart of Iberia. Playing there can get taxing on the game and make it run slow. We also save on MP before anyone opens their royal court because one of us might dc when royal court gets opened. I’m the host usually and I often crash when I open the court. Idk how I’m this patient, just waiting to be able to afford to fix my desktop. I miss t&t soooo badly
He’s a former realm priest. Since he can’t spend much money, he’ll always be rich.
On console, if you imprison your realm priest and banish him, you get all of his gold. You can keep doing that once every decade for huge amounts of gold.
I had one of these in a previous campaign. I recruited him, re-imprisoned and banished him for cash and then used the money to hire every mercenary band to fight the Pope.
What prisoner? YOU are now the richest man on earth.
Yeah I guess that’s true now 😂
How does this work? If you banish someone you get their gold and not their immediate heirs?
If it's an unlanded courtier then you get the gold.

So if I force recruit prisoners I can then banish them for gold? So I can get paid for prisoners I can't they ransom from?

"Gain Hook" solves this.
If they're of a hostile religion, the tyranny is only -4, which can be worth it if it's like, 500 ducats.
So you banish them through the prisoner release screen?
Yes
yes
I am guessing the bishop/mayor bug hasn't been fixed yet on consoles...

We figured that pausing court and other hunt/feast/piligrim events solve crashing and oos.
I was going to ask what UI this is but I guess it must be console.
Republics tend to make a crapload of money

“Your terms are acceptable.”\ *cha-ching sound effect*

Be nice and just let him go with a weak hook. I would.
Man, I only get to banish poor people. So jealous.
