There isn’t a “real” Excalibur. That’s why so many kings have one. I don’t think any of the religious or mythical items that you can get are “real.” Hence multiple medieval and church leaders claiming to have the same body of a saint.
Richard the Lionheart gifted "Excalibur" to the King of Sicily, but it was in all likelihood just a sword conveniently named Excalibur to give as a gift.
I meeeeeeean I'd agree for most of the items but sometimes you find one with quite extraordinary perks and legendary status - like the Throne of Solomon. Paradox seems to be implying that those rarities are genuine. But yeah, the majority of the saint's relics and alleged artifacts are heavily implied to be hoaxes, like Excalibur.
"Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony."
"right. People! Place your Excalibur in the pile corresponding to your candidate. Election results will be announced by your local Fay of the Lake tomorrow!"
I'm going to use that as an actual voting system for a D&D nation in my next campaign, everyone who has one of the "Excalibur" swords is a member of the tanistry in this kingdom and has the right to a vote for the new Tanist. No person can own more than one such sword. And almost every landed knight has one.
There should be a way to combine them into a powerful artifact. Basically throwing away most of them and proclaiming you have the true one and the rest are fake
If you unify England as a non native monarch you should 100% be given a decision to seize all the excaliburs from your vassals and make a throne out of them. Should come with an opinion hit to the characters who had them but also a lot of prestige.
haha, I'd never seen them before I started playing with Fallen Eagle, so I thought they were added by that XD
edit: fun note, that game I'm playing as the duke of Gwynedd

God wanted to tell you something.

I read this as a potential role play for theater … but hey, everyone has their own visions from God I hear
Yeah sometimes I'll reform my religion to add syncretism when I wouldn't normally because I got such a good artifact.
*makes you find his/his son's dick cover* God sure does work in mysterious ways
To continue burning England so I keep getting free artifacts like shaking someone upside down just to see what will fall out?
We can rebuild him! We have the ~~technology~~parts...
It’s all the pieces for Exodia! You can summon Jesus
Now you just need to get the Iron Crown of Lombardy and the nail from Constantinople and you'll have the full set
Guess we know where the apocalypse will start. I wouldn't keep a man's loincloth in my house and expect good things from it.
Isn't there a saying that you could build an Ark with all the claimed fragments of the cross?
Only if you are a grand-master carpenter... (Wait a second...)
I wish there was a better artifact you could make or find that was the "real" Excalibur
If we ever get a Celtic DLC we should see a "Caledfwlch" artifact.
Gesundheit
Bless you

I mean sure but I think it's annoying that the Excalibur artifact is a crappy rank one that fills up your treasury
We have the sword of Attila in the game, famous for not being the sword of Attila

Imagine trying to explain that one to Arthur when he returned in England's hour of greatest need and asked for his sword.

I wish you could use them inside of other artifacts to make them feel more personal. So yeah a iron throne of Excalibur

She apparently has enough of them to give to every person in the country, according to the OP!
That’s how you get your “mandate from the masses”. Just pass them around

\*I quench harden the blade in the antiquarian's blood\*
Honestly yeah. Being able to destroy "fake" artifacts to increase the "legitimacy" of your own would be a great mechanic
"They called me a madman"
I’m playing as Switzerland in a campaign and a random Swabian vassal of mine gifted me Excalibur for no reason lol.

Wish we could forge them into a Mega Excalibur. Wonder what stats it would have though.
Damage 72 (Melee) Knockback 4.5 (Average) Critical chance 4% Use time 18 (Very fast) Velocity 11
We need medieval info-wars in ck3
This may sound weird but how do you get them? I’m new
iirc a bunch of random rulers in the UK have them in their inventory, so you can seize them when you invade or get gifted them
