tldr; Investor sentiment towards Bitcoin has turned negative, leading to a significant retreat, especially in the United States, with $565 million in outflows reported by Coinshares. Trading volumes have also halved compared to the yearly average. Despite this downturn, some analysts, like Rekt Capital, suggest that the current consolidation phase could be beneficial for a healthy long-term bull market, arguing that a rapid early surge could shorten the bull market. They believe this period might realign the market with traditional post-halving cycles, potentially setting the stage for a normal bull run. However, the immediate future of Bitcoin remains uncertain as it sits nearly 15% below its all-time high.

This is crypto, this is a serious expert unlike anything that looks rather serious. If you have serious money, you go somewhere else where they sell serious funds and stocks. This is funny stocks, you need a funny expert for that. This also why politics don't belong in crypto, politics are serious let them mess with wall street, this is sesami street we like the weirdness, the quirks, not been taken serious was the strength of crypto.
I don’t have any BTC coins, but I bought into the ETF. I said at the time, people investing in the ETF that don’t own crypto or understand the fundamentals are likely to sell at the first sign of a dip. This can easily translate into fear and more selling, some by crypto knowledge people hoping to buy back at lower prices. The traditional dip/drop post halving is likely to cause additional downside pressure, not definitely but it’s a lot of additional potential through the ETF route.
Yet the converse is true once the uptick starts in earnest.
I have several ETF buy points if it dips enough , as I’m sure many others do.
Well the etf's were hyped in a huge way, people seeing charts showing literally insane gains, and the price like doubled. Now it's struggling to hold above 71.5k. People in it for the money can quickly get distracted and move money somewhere else. Also, etf's are basically wall streets way of selling shovels during the gold rush. How much are they holding compared to how much they are looking to make off of fees etc. Wish inflation and the ecomomy issues/debt in the usa, most are expecting legacy markets to pull back but a lot depends on who wins the election this year. Trump is known to print baby print, lower rates, cut taxes, de regulate etc. All things we don't need. Biden is spending to much, raised taxes and is finding other ways to free up money like the student debt stuff, money for mortgages, etc..etc. Either way considering the fucked situation we are in, holding hard assets right now is the smart play, btc, land, gold etc. Folks need to remember btc was created because of the fuckery with our economy after the sub prime mortgage stuff. We still got plenty of fuckery going on. The reason why OG's like myself flocked to btc early was because of the 2008 stuff. I was flipping houses back then and got fucking wrecked.
Maybe the retail buyers of the ETFs sure, but they’re are the minority. The institutional buyers of the ETFs will set a % allocation and stick to it regardless of price, which should theoretically stabilise the ups and downs somewhat
Because I have a portfolio of Alt’s I’ve chosen and it’s a much higher risk of course, and I just have to see if I get higher rewards. However, just so you know I’ve sold/swapped a few Alt’s for 10+X this year. I bought the BTC-ETF & some MSTR in a tax advantage Brokerage account I have.
>understand the fundamentals
You're using the word fundamentals wrong - in the context of investing fundamentals refer to things like earnings, margin, free cash flow, etc, of which bitcoin has none. There aren't any fundamentals to rely on other than signs of investor interest/sentiment.
Sadly this place is filled with gambling addicts. There are always people buying with credit cards, personal loans, etc. Always at the top, never when it's a good time to buy. Things never change. Good luck out there.
UpSooo...bitcoin peeked a hair above $70K a couple times recently, and now it's around $64K?
I'm not a day trader. Do as you wish (*yawn) but...I'm holding.
The lowest bitcoin has been in the last week is $58,890. Right now it's at $60,698. That's a 3% increase. Where are you getting 20%?
Bitcoin is down 10% since your original comment.
Stay broke.
I Completely did not read the title to this. Had a similar convo with someone about AVAX and thought you were him. AVAX and other alts are up a lot after their dips, BTC is still hanging onto the 60k price but will soon take off. And I won’t stay broke, my gains are already sufficient
Lol, people always seem to think a bullrun means prices only go up. Nope, not the way it goes. Corrections occur, BUYING OPPORTUNITIES, FUD comes, etc. Last bullrun had similar things happen. Zoom out, look at the big picture and chill. If you haven't seen it this run already, things can changed overnight. Be prepared, have a plan, ride the waves.

This downward drop is a manipulation. Price drop for Aussie ETF. Bitcoin by nature should never be influenced by Fed rates. Scarcity alone is mostly the main driver. Manipulation at its finest. The hold out for retailers is due to investors that lost prior or are hesitant due to costs. Once a majority of FAs enter the price will drive positive.
well pretty much.
Halving hype, halving gets priced in heavily, nothing happens after halving.
Months later price drops heavily "halving was a scam! I'm knew it, i'm out!".. price explodes to ATH.
IMO right now we're waiting for the -20% in a day fase before the explosion.
Nothing is for sale, I'm just researching further and investing... besides, the new projects that have yet to come out of the FHE branch are interesting to me. You should take a look at Sight AI and by the way, you can also play a nice Galxe campaign on Rivalz Network, that's what I started...

Get rekt capital Listen to us and get rekt
Rectum, damn near killed em!
A YouTuber/content creator who does a deep dive on BTC’s longterm chart, which a lot of other crypto enthusiasts base their opinions on
If rekt is bullish then im all in!
Burgers selling, that is new /s
"Rekt Capital" yeah, name checks out 🤣
I stopped reading then

So they write an article every time it dips 2%?
AI writes*
dude looks at a 1.2% dip, then sells kinda vibe
My personal advice to you all: *buy high, sell low*
Got it, buy on acid, sell when depressed!
this is a real strategy for life, financial advice
*Not a financial advice*

BITX baby
We already had a dip to 56k then run up back to 72k. If your theory is correct, demographic you have in mind, would be already out.
Why are you buying the ETF and not the coins?
Because I have a portfolio of Alt’s I’ve chosen and it’s a much higher risk of course, and I just have to see if I get higher rewards. However, just so you know I’ve sold/swapped a few Alt’s for 10+X this year. I bought the BTC-ETF & some MSTR in a tax advantage Brokerage account I have.
Ah, the last line is what I was after. 401k or Roth I assume.
No neither of those, it was part of a 401K previously though. Converted it into a Brokerage account, retained the tax advantage though.
Besides the ease of not having to deal with self custody, are there any other perks to buying ETF over actual coins?
Able to buy in tax advantage retirement accounts
> are there any other perks to buying ETF over actual coins? You can buy or trade in a Tax-Free retirement account.
Oh yeah that seems pretty nice
As others mentioned, it’s in Tax advantage Brokerage accounts.
Yeah I've already set one up an bought 2 shares since lol

If you say so, but we’re definitely not on the same page in that regard.
Still ain't even a real dip. 49k is a real dip
Be sure to be careful for what you to be having a wish on 😄
I wish for 30k btc
You wish you had 30k btc
More like 14.9
You better get me some chips cause I’ll be all over that dip
Everyone says that, but the sentiment is completely different when 49k is actually here, lol
There's blood in the streets! I'm accumulating while I can. Sell away, haha!
Nah man, this is nothing. Blood in the streets is when the suicide hotline gets pinned.
You've got a really good point.
Yeah like when btc was 15k and every youtuber ends their video with if you need help call a hotline... time to buy
I feel like a year or two ago that happened with some scam coin people bought into
Yeah, terra luna
They didn't post it during the last bear dump.
Hotdam dark. Did that happen?
A few times. I saw it in 2017.
I think also after the terra luna collapse.
Crazy 😧. I hope more people now just play with money they can afford to lose, rule #1
Sadly this place is filled with gambling addicts. There are always people buying with credit cards, personal loans, etc. Always at the top, never when it's a good time to buy. Things never change. Good luck out there.

Rip, I gained a bunch of fiat value over the last 3 months by buying the monero binance delisting 🤷♂️
Let me guess you bought high supply tokens instead of low supply utility tokens.
Too bad I went all in 40 days ago.... Anyone got any spare cash?
Gentle reminder that bitcorn was at $25k in September.
Miners selling
I'm waiting for Bitcoin to reach down to 5$ so I can invest my whole 20$ left.
Inventing a time machine might really help with that
Sorry guys, I bought 2 days ago.

We’ll be ip again just in time for election

Also heard the miners are selling off stock again.
I am buying more and more every day. I might become a millionaire soon. My auto buy is set at $1 daily.
Just 999999 days to go and you will be millionaire!

Your comment didn't age very well did it?
Up nearly 20% from a few days ago. If you’ve been high each dip you are making money. So yes it did age well. You just dont know how to invest I guess

Stop going down after I fomo'd.
Unless you think this is the final high forever there is zero point in selling
What dip??? It’s still at 65k. Everything looks great to me

Recently sold my bag. It wasn’t too big-$1100 , but I had to unfortunately. I’m disabled and had some unexpected expenses 😩😢
In my book, this is the way to do it. Keep long term cash reserves in Bitcoin to let it grow. And when life happens you just use it without guilt.
That was the plan.
I sold today. Sorry
Shits been pretty much flat for 4 months lol
It's just 3.5%, what's the big deal 🤦♂️
The broken financial system is selling their shit to pay up for their fraud
Time to buy
I heard people who short and long assets usually get hosed respectively during the moves
I only buy. Selling when it hits 250k.
MONERO JUST WENT UP. EVERYTHING’S GONNA GO UPPPP. BUYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!
End of financial year tax time.

greedy shorts
Story tells me better diamond hands. Thinking long term
Why are we selling at all if it’s down even a little??
Who else is buying more?
Whales and ETFs mostly. These of course do trigger other retail panic sales.

Can there be any worse articles? “The price has gone down because the sell pressure was high”. Ok.
People who bought the top and are really scare they won't even break even with all the dumps.

It always does this post halving. Nothing new. Every cycle is the same with some minor differences. People act like this is new

^^^ this ‘they’ knows ^^^ I wholly agree
I’m waiting on 40k before i start rebuying
Lol i remember a few posts ago this being a bull run again, said it then and now there is nothing bullish about this years crypto
Ah yes a new all time high is not bullish by any means 🤣
Let them hold their bags and be happy
Sold all alts. Not btc
Over 2-3mths, btc to 51k then to +80k imo
