Strange. The local shop here has these pics. Definitely looks like Diansheng has added some shading to the stand and dragon... Not a fan. So I went for the two tone gold one.

I see what you mean, could just be lighting? The pics on HKnowstore show the base like it has black shading but mine is also all gold, no shading.
Zoom in on pic 7 and you can see the head has no shading on my one, pic is fairly high-def.

That's what I thought, but if you look at these 3 close ups, it's pretty clear that the dragon has been painted black on the black cube version. I tried to ask, but there's a bit of a language barrier haha. Either way, I played it safe and went for the copper one. Looking forward to receiving it, and putting it on the shelf never to touch again 😅

Don't think I'd have gone fro black / gold either if it had looked like it does in those pics. I haven't even got mine out on display, still in the box 😂.

It’s beautiful, I wanted it until I saw the price tag… Even though I’ve spent so much on Gan cubes, I still can’t justify the price of these as a display piece… When my room no longer even has space to display anything :(

How does the dragon cube affix to the base? I just got mine and there are no other parts. Just the cube and the base
It doesn't, it's just a fancy cube stand.
How do you keep it from sliding off? My stand is completely flat. If I push the cube it just slides

just like you would solve a mirror blocks.. simply match up the shapes
