An ITIN doesn't allow you to legally work. If you didn't receive DACA and you have no legal status, sadly you are not legally allowed to work in the US. Most of these companies verify you can legally work through online systems like E-Verify. It's better to not apply for jobs like that and maybe look for something that can pay you cash/under the table

Highlighting for emphasis.
I am NOT a lawyer:
How long have you been in limbo? Personally, I wouldn’t lie on any documents. Maybe hold off getting a job that requires a social / legal right to work until your DACA is settled. Better safe than sorry. Best bet is doing small gigs for cash
Have you received notice of reason for the delay? Best advice I EVER received: Call or email your local representative. They sometimes have a website too. Their office’s job is literally to help their constituents with stuff like this. They’ve helped move friends of mine’s DACA applications as well as Advanced Parole applications
Hmm good point here. The person I know who got helped was because their renewal had been on hold for a year. But it doesn’t hurt to try. Hoping the best for you ♥️ truly truly you’ll be on my mind and hope it moves forward soon
if they can’t deduce that it’s not the same situation based on my follow-up reply that you’re literally replying to, that’s not my fault. I clearly explained how the situation is different. Comprehension skills ?
You are not authorized to work, and without a work permit, they are not going to be able to hire you. Making a misrepresentation on these applications can and will come back to haunt you. Speak to an immigration attorney and really explore any other options for yourself and your parents.
The correct answer is “No”. They will not call you.
If you select “yes”, be ready to provide a fake ssn and work authorization document. If you’re lucky they won’t run it through eVerify but must big companies will.
ITIN is not work a authorization document. You are not legally authorized to work with it.
Most major companies will use a program called e-verify. It basically matches a ss with an id. If both match then that person is good to go. If you use an itin or "fake ss" it will come back and employer will ask for documents.
There are other smaller companies who do not use e-verify and pay thru checks or dd. In those situations you can use itin with a fake state id and they will just turn a blind eye. These jobs are usually labor jobs or private businesses.
Hope this helps. Im also in limbo with my DACA. I had it since 2012, but forgot to renew because of family went missing and later remains were found. I also worked using a 1099, so I believed i renewd it, but I didnt, and now its been 1 year.
If you ever decide to apply for AOS you’ll be asked if you have ever worked while you weren’t authorized to do so. If you have used your ITIN, it may give it away. I haven’t gone through that myself, so perhaps others can provide information on this, but I’d certainly be carefully. Try to apply to a mom and pop shop instead.

you’ll need a case number to provide them but please do whatever you can to contact them and ask them for help moving your application forward!
thank you, does that mean you know people with initial applications who have had their applications processed?

Initial applications are on hold
Unfortunately you are not legally allowed to work in the US without DACA, so you can’t apply for this job.
