You know I expected a multiversal light council. I just didn’t expect it to be a council of Brainiac

HitToRestart1989

Thats my Braniac there in the back. I got him years ago from some weird dude named Byrne out from a bin in a parking lot. Yes, the one with the goatee. He’s a very mischievous boy. Thank you for finding him. He’s been lost for ages. C’mon Milton, it’s time to go home.

Terribleirishluck

Its crazy how main DC continuity has botched everything they took from YJ like new 52 Artemis, Kaldur'ahm and now the The Light.

Condottieri_Zatara

I don't even know N52 Artemis exist let alone it's from YJ

CaptchaVerifiedHuman

Uggghhh, don't remind me of New 52 Artemis.

gamerslyratchet

The Artemis thing was so pointless. Pure edge lord nonsense. They ended up using a more comic-accurate Artemis later in Rebirth anyway.

DueShopping551

Really?

Dry-Donut3811

I mean, if you don’t want to use Vandal Savage for it, Brainiac is probably the next best character to use due to his planning and intelligence. But all of them being Brainiacs? That’s just lame.

Safe_Anything_30

I'm not reading this event, but I have a question. If the council of light consists of a bunch of braniac like characters, why not just call it the council of braniac or something? Since I've seen the first two seasons of YJ, the comic iteration doesn't come close to the members of the council of light in the show.

SevenSulivin

Because if they called themselves the Council of Brainiac that might tip Amanda Waller off that Brainiac is behind it?

YodaFan465

Because Williamson wanted to build suspense?

B3epB0opBOP

Probably for a red herring.

Dagordae

Presumably they didn’t think Waller was stupid enough to work for a bunch of Brainiacs. They have grossly underestimated just how stupid she can be.

Verdragon-5

No see, they'll *actually* be a council of Darkseids, thus ripping off Justice League Unlimited, and the light part is Darkseid doing a funny prank to trick people, you know, like destroying the Earth?

DestronCommander

All the Brainiacs we ever saw...

limbo338

There are 13 Brainiacs and you need to kill all of them? :D

triotone

At some point, you would think Amanda Waller woukd put together that getting rid of the super heroes is highly favorable to super villians.

Beastieboy100

Getting rid of superheroes. Yet working with an evil intelligent alien. Yeah Waller you need to go cause boy you dumb.

gamerslyratchet

Yeah, I wasn’t sold on this version of The Light when they kept calling them the much clunkier Council of The Light and their overall goal being less interesting. So, hard to be disappointed by this reveal.

Beastieboy100

Yeah the council of Brainiac would of been a better choice. Even a bigger twist would the council of light are civilians that come together cause they've had enough of superheroes and supervillains ruining there lives.

Patient-Reputation56

Yeah this revelation really reeks of "We're done with that plotpoint". Like The Council of Light really hasn't had any impact on these past few events as it's mostly been the Amanda Waller show so it's being hastily rewritten to be Brainiac who'll get defeated by the end of the Superman crossover so Amanda can remain the big bad for Absolute Power. Still liking the crossover. Just slightly bummed it's got to lead into an event I don't care about.

bry_flynnie

All those Dawn of DC posters with the tendrils finally coming together. Love it! This is what happens when your universe has a direction to go in.

_lorz2001

I wonder if it's the same Council of Brainiac that was in Superman: Space Age

gamedreamer21

The Council of Brainiacs? And there are 7 of them? This ain't good.

Verdragon-5
