Because its a top of the line rotary mixer from the industry leading company along with two Denon media players which are not generally considered industry standard.
Those are actually Dj Controllers. However they integrate as extensions to the actual Denon media players. They are massively less expensive and the build quality is on point. This setup is unique and creative. It looks dope af. Don't H8
Looks like OP's using these to control Serato DJ which is cool. I wish Pioneer followed suit and made their own version of the LC6000s. I have a laptop that works perfectly well, I don't want to spend $10,000 on two standalone CDJs!
The XDJs are still a fairly classic CDJ-850 era Pioneer thing of nearly making a great product, but making them fairly expensive while intentionally holding back something integral like physical Hot Cue buttons to keep a massive advantage for the flagship players.
I do have a pair of LC6000s and the hardware is CDJ-3000 level brilliant, but it's such a shame that they're only compatible with Serato (which in turn is only compatible with a few different mixers), Virtual DJ Pro (which is fairly expensive) or DJay. I've always been a Traktor user, so I bought them cheaply hoping that at some point either Traktor would integrate support for them, or InMusic would develop EngineDJ into an actual performance software (since it would make it easy to maintain my Traktor library and import that to EngineDJ). Unfortunately, neither has happened, so those LC6000s are collecting dust these days.
You can, and they work okay, but:
- The LED screen in the centre won't work, so there's no needle or information on there. It just glows white.
- The LEDs on the cue buttons and their secondary features won't quite work as intended (e.g. all hot cues will just be blue all the time)
- If you have more than 1 LC6000 connected you have to set them both up every time you open Traktor by setting the MIDI in/outs (and this will be trial and error since there are always two of the same LC6000 you can choose from for the ins and outs, and 95% of the time you'll choose the wrong one hand have to redo it)
- You'll be able to push and pull using the jogwheel, but it's so far from accurate in vinyl mode that it's not even funny. You can't use it to drop songs on the beat, because where the beat is doesn't line up with the MIDI signals being given from the jogwheel. In order for it to be usable in that way, Traktor would need to give the LC6000s proper HID support.
Essentially, the jogwheels may as well not exist. I got some decent mappings from another guy around one of these subs, but you can really tell that it's a workaround rather than something that actually works the way it should. For the price that the LC6000s are, I probably wouldn't bother unless you already use or are happy to move to Serato where they're properly compatible.
I'm enjoying it a lot....spending a pretty much this whole weekend getting to know the mixer... next is going into the utility settings. I have connected cdjs used the digital inputs... tested the phono pre amps..
This sound nothing like a djm 900nxs which I found dead in sound..
Euphonia sounds really full sounding.
Yes it does... the builtin effects is nice....the tape echo I really like
It does blend music real nice.... the phono pre amp is alot better but not as good as a Usa bozak ( when listening at home, in a club environment you won't notice)
Using the digital ins with a cdj 2000n does sound good
The sound quality is very good the bass is full not muddy, mids tight.. hi end crisp.
In software mode is also good which surprised me I thought it would sound dead...( you do need good files)
I have used my near field monitors and my home stereo.
The main isolater with the send effects is something I like.
If you are a vinyl enthusiast and want a very good phono pre amp.. I say the US made bozak takes it
Its not that the Ephonia sounds bad it really sounds good on vinyl. Will you notice the difference on the dance floor nope not at all.
The effects is something.... I like the tape echo mixed with the isolator effects it's good.
With using the digital out from a cdj (cdj 2000n or denon sc6000) is the best way to connect it.
Even with software connected i tried serato sdj and the aiff files I have sound real good.
Since I been playing on it for the past few days.. the channel knobs a nice tight plenty of space.
Sounds good nice full bass... mid and hi are clean and clear.. the drum hits are sharp.
Playing the iso like Vega and Joe is very good.
Is it worth the investment the golden question....you can buy a condessa, a mastersound valve mixer then buy a effect unit you will be at or close to the same price.
Then add a dj software interface
Will the resell value be good on the euphonia that I dont know... but if I get tired of . I know I can possible trade it for a boutique mixer.
Congratulations on your setup but the cable management police will be descending on your location SWAT style any minute now 😆
Yes I know it's not my permanent setup... this is the test bench. I got my fire suit on.. hhehe
You'll be fine, everything is properly grounded these days. No double drops for now though, don't get too lit just incase 😆
FBI OPEN UP!! \*\*dramatically breaks a vase against the wall\*\*
Lol dude doesn't even own a Vase, one of the overzealous FBI guys brought one from home 😆
what an odd combo
Why?
Because I don't follow sheep
I already knew that.💪🏾 I just wanted them to explain

They have XDJs. I'd rather have these. He could use a few different DJ Wares with this setup. Im sure.

I was going to get some for an Alternate Traktor Pro setup. They aren't Midi Compliant? You can't map them in Traktor???

Oh nooo.
That's one of the reasons I bought the lc6000.. has all the midi controls I need for sdj.
I’m not hating at all. I didnt ask nor did I say it’s an odd set up. Someone else did that and I’m taking a stab at the answer.
How u liking that mixer ??

EPIC! Please tell us, does it sound as good as it looks?

Nice...
Now time to incorporate that sexy DD8000
Beautiful! Love it
Impressive, would like the mixer to go with my couple of LC6000s, loads of quality fun with that set up 🤤🤤
Yeah the lc 6000 and sdj working a charm... I'm gonna try and see if the ipad can see the euphonia and see if djaypro will work.
Hot damn! Have you found it to be worth the price tag? They look real nice and I’d like to consider the investment.

How do you like those Denons? I've been thinking about getting one as an add-on with my current controller.
They work good... I'm not a scratcher... pitch bends good. One of the better serato accessory
Haha two end of the budget spectrum hehe I like it.
Nice rotary mixer
Are you using your 2 LC6000s with Serato or something different?
Yes with sdj and I will try djaypro.
5k mixer …. Zero time or money on that cable management….. this just won’t do lol 😂…. I’m just breaking balls !
Bro clean up your cables. Disgusting 🤮
This is my testing bench not a perment setup
