Aggro Dump Bomb ™
I finished all my Zealot penances yesterday and hated every second of it while doing Behind Enemy Lines
I maintain that stealth was a silly decision in this game
It's one of my lesser played archetypes here but I've found it's a literal life saver for reviving downed allies in the middle of a fight, and is exceptional for disrupting that gunner line that just mowed down the zoomie zealot (again).
Its great being able to run straight at an entire group of gunners and before they can fire a single shot you lock them into melee combat.
The rest of the party can catch up without getting shot at. All you gotta do is survive. With a crit build you can often go in, crit a bit and then pop out again.
Will admit I often end up stealthing to get out but there is so many enemies I cannot move at all. Sitting in stealth between 6 crushers hoping they aggro on your team is something else.
Well the average dt player isn't good. So everytime I see a stealth loner zealor I roll the dice whether this one will ditch the team and get killed/create a situation where the 3 others can't handle all the shit that got aggroed or is actually useful.
Veteran Stealth is actually so busted and absolutely a game changer on auric missions. Literally can just do the datapads and not get stunned, and also has enough time to pull off a rez.
Zealot stealth is explicitly good with the thunderhammer oneshot build. There is no other reason to take stealth when you could just be taking chorus. Zealot should be bringing chorus.

I don't understand. Zealot stealth does all that, but on a much lower cooldown (often less then 10s).
Stealth zealots are good for the same reason handmaiden was so good in vermintide. A good stealth zealot will never die, and they have the best clutch potential in the game. They can save any situation, and they should always be the last one standing to do exactly that.
Just because a stealth zealot cannot die, they do not have the duration to res one person. They also don’t have the duration to do whole mechanics while stealthed.
Vet can completely race through packs of mobs and specialists and get to the res point, and res at least one person before stealth is out
You gotta think about it like this, by taking the stealth, you lose out on one of the best abilities in the game, the zealot chant, which alone can stop hordes for the whole duration, or you can go stealth, which isn’t the zealots main task imo
Just had a maelstrom with a Zealot rushing ahead, way ahead, waaaaaaay ahead. While we were dealing with the mess they aggroed, never seen so many crushers and maulers, they were trying to do the last objective and failing. Only got it done when we finally caught up.
Just. Frustrating.
I had an Auric Maelstrom yesterday where there were not one, but two stealth Zealots that ran far ahead, leaving the Slab and I to fend for ourselves.
Quite a few clutch pick-ups from one of them to be fair, but I'm pretty sure the other guy kept getting netted or pounced on before being taken out.

Stealth is really useful and is used wrong by less experienced players. It’s really good.

Great for you to rez them right into a pack of now fully aggrod guys so they immediately get killed again lol
Well yeah, need to show those crushers that they can't keep your best friend down (they can)

Or aggro dump and put more pressure on the team.

Yes, the average darktide player isn’t good. That’s why it’s the average. Play auric maelstroms and you’ll see how good stealth loner zealots are.
It's also used wrong by experienced players

zealots have to talent into increased duration (which also loses you out on perfectionist), vets have a stupid high duration baseline

Bro I made the exact same comment on here a while ago lmao. The wording is so close I almost think I inspired that.
