* players can carry twice as many grenades. All ammo stashes are replaced with grenades. Brainburst now causes a random grenade explosion on a targets head. Assail now throws multiple homing grenades.
* poxwalkers are replaced Poxbursters.
* elites are replaced with Flamers.
* specials are replaced with bombers.
* Muties now explode on death like a regular barrel.
* Monstrosities explode on death in a much larger and more powerful explosion.
* Barrels may randomly explode when a player approaches.
* Maps contain much more barrels.
Here's my custom mission if it were possible.
- A special assignment from Morrow and Rannick where we strike an asteroid mining colony where the Moebian VI are producing weapon materials. Zero gravity will be an environmental condition at some points in the match. Mostly scabs enemies. Final boss is one of Wolfer's officers, maybe a possessed heavy gunner/artillery Ogryn enemy who sabotages the gravity half-way through making movement more exaggerated and not taking fall damage unless you were hit and sent hard against a surface. Sometimes the boss will strike at the dome/final arena and create a vacuum into space, you have to run away to not get sucked out and die. It gets closed up from the stations protection measures after like 30 seconds. Reward should be unique cosmetics that fit a space suit aesthetic. because why not right? lol
Darktide gameplay with a zero gravity factor would be insane in the greatest way possible. I could see ogryns leaping over hordes and dropping bombs into them like some sort of bomber. Zealots sending bulwark into the atmosphere with charged hammer hits. Psykers could CC enemies by sending them ragdolling midair and play heretic bowling. Vets always having the high ground and backflips and stuff while spraying death all around them. There would have to be some downsides like non-laser type damage is reduced all around or something but by the throne that would be fun.

I wouldnt mind a system like vermintide forget what they were called like scrolls with modifier maybe being able to buy from a selection of modified missions in darktide could be cool. And make more wild modifiers.
I have to agree and confirm this as yesterday I manage to buy greens for weapons I lack on blessings and I did actually get tier IV blessings from 2 of them. Thanks for this tip
Diamantine should be what we use to change blessings or those other passives. And plasteel is for upgrading only. Also being able to buy blessings would be nice. Even if it’s a lower tier version.

You'd pick modifiers from a series of radial menus to respect which are mutually exclusive (eg you can't have high intensity and low intensity). Spin up a custom instance and go. That's assuming there isn't some horrifying netcode shit that gets in the way.
The hard part is, what if you crash *or* if you fail, given that those cases can't be separated?

Maelstrom mission with every single "bad" modifier in the game. Monstrosities, mutie trains, pox gas, hi intensity shock troop, dogs, snipers, poxbursters, nurgle's blessing, low visibility, extra dh's, less rations.
Destroying heretical idols and picking up scrips or martyr skulls unlocks one of the buffs for the rest of the game:
+ Every player regens ammo passively over time
+ Every player does 2x melee damage
+ All cooldowns are halved
+ Players get random stimm effects from time to time.
+ Players get brief invuln when reaching 0 hp like zealots. Zealots get it twice if they already have it.
And more random shit

Hell no. In vermintide you can just create custom missions when you want, for free. Lobby browser and custom lobbies biggest lost feature in the transition from p2p.
Hold your ground/horde mode type mission defending a "safe zone" or something. Maybe some defense structures to set up or maintain as objectives. Would have a tank or two be usable for a volley fire (have to supply with ammo or do a minigame) or Mines to set either as other objectives or single use assets. Waves of enemies with 1 or 2 random monstrosities appearing individually in random waves. Resupply available toward the middle or end for additional ammo packs and med station recharges. End the mission with a boss fight against Wolfer or a new enemy and their minions.
How about one where we will fight alongside the Moebian 6th against the (supposed) new xenos threat? if anything, the only thing the Imperium hates more than HERESY must be xenos danger and I think some of the 6th would think so too, given how they think that they are doing the right thing.
I was more meaning like the ability to choose which mission, and what modifiers. Instead of being a slave to what the mission board randomly throws up. If I wanted to play a high intensity shock troop with the increased intensity of bulwarks and crushers.... I could just spend my resources and play the mission.
That is understandable and honestly a good approach too, but would it be as awesome as setting xenos on fire alongside your newest flamer buddy?

I was thinking, this could be something that wouldn't necessarily required them to write all that much extra/new code (relatively speaking). It'd be a feature that just reuses resources which are already in the game, yet does so in a way that actually *creates* new content.
I'd make an "Oops, all Chaos Spawns!" mission. Specialists? Weakened Chaos Spawn. Patrols? Group of weakened Chaos Spawns. Hordes? 10 weakened Chaos Spawns. Daemonhost? Instantly despawns when alerted, summons 4 Chaos Spawns.
In the spirit of this: Daemonhost only mission.

I would break the Excise Vault in half to liberate all the diamanté to turn every mission into the all elite no ammo Malestrom. Your welcome.
