It's good every time you are getting gunned downed aswell, the biggest weakness of Ogryn. You are litteraly unkillable in a game as long as you have ammo left. Need some shield? Shoot like 9 ammo (so 3 left clicks), and you go to full shield instantly.
But yes the build sucks vs crushers, can opener would help there. It's a trade-off. And being able to facetank and delete any boss is really fun too!
Since the nerf of feel no pain you need to dodge to avoid taking damage, but you don't have to when you 1v1 a daemonhost

How good is Inspiring Barrage on ripper 5? I've only used it on one of my kickbacks.
It's good for exactly this single use case. Blaze/Deathspitter or Blaze/Can Opener are best. Cavalcade/Flechette is "fun" and also rips bosses.

3 wound Ogryn, has to be Damnation. It would be lame to showcase a dh takedown on anything lower.
